Few Meph Glitch Mf questions

Heya guys my names eli and i've been playing d2 since the release but quit for a while and decided to come back :D unfortunately my old accounts have expired so its time for me to make a new 1, then i stumbled upon the Meph mf glitch build and i had a few questions and here they r, btw <3 the forums and ty for any answers
1. Is it a good build to start off with?
2. Whats the fastest way possible to lvling? (without relying on friend list)
3. How am i going to get the sorc to lvl 65+ without being able to do hell cs since i cant do the meph quest?

1. Possibly the best build imo.
2. Level to 5 however you can. 5-15 or 16 through trist. 16-20 through tombs. 20-25 by normal cows. From there do NM or Hell CS, or norm or nm cows. Stop NM cs at around 50. Stop normal cow at around 30. NM cow at around 45 imo.
3. Mephisto gives good exp. Or you could get a barb to flayer run you, or you could do Fire Eye (arcane, go backwards, he should be somewhere there). High player setting games give good exp.
 
You can use the "hatch/doors" leading to some sort of tunnels in the City of the Damned. Monsters at these tunnels have 0 cold resistance - so you can do Andy/Mef and then clear the tunnels to level up your full orb sorc.
I found that killing the uniques while teleporting to Andariel gives pretty nice exp around level 60, so you could try stopping and killing every unique zombie you see (this isn't a very reliable method, because it doesnt give that much exp and thus requires many runs, not to mention the fact that there are like 2-3 unique zombies..).

I've never tried act3 flayer jungle to level up a sorc (I dont remember if the monsters arent cold immune for example), but barbs can level there quite well up to level 80 as far as I remember.

I too have recently returned to gaming Classic Diablo II on Battle.net. Additionally, I have just recently discovered this build. I've levelled my sorc to 78 as of last night, and it only took like a week and a half or so.
Some of the items I've had drop for me have been very good, but I have some questions too.

I'm curious to know if this build has better results on ladder? I've never really played ladder, but from what I've been able to gather it seems drops are slightly better in the ladder. Is this correct?

As well, can someone please elaborate a little more on the pro's and con's of using MF gear for this? I understand the failed unique thing (sort of), but will adding MF to before the threshold where suddenly everything is unique increase item quality? Will wearing MF at all increase the quality of drops, and if so is there a known % for best results? Is this a viable method for finding the elusive SOJ with/without MF?

Either way, I'm having a blast on battle.net again, and love it when everyone in CS is whining that I need to tele for them and why won't I party. It get real comical when ppl tease me for still being only in act3 and telling me unless I CS I'll never find the 'godlies' (as they were termed in my day - I guess thats called a GG nowadays).

Well as far as the drops being better on ladder than non-ladder it sounds highly unlikely to me but I cant be 100% sure as Ive never played NL.

The reason why you do not want mf on this build is because she uses the glitch which automaticly gives lots of rares which is preferable to uniques/sets (soj not included ofc but lets be realistic :rolleyes: )
Wearing mf will in other words deminish the chances of getting those rares from the quest drops. Personally, I do not have mf on any of my sorcs anymore as they do andy/meph/cs. The only build on which I would use mf on would be a mf barb.

Is this the same Fredsta54 that wrote all those mini guides? i thougt this guy was dead (hehehe), not that i would be happy but the guys knows so much about the game i think he was one of the programmers. heeheh. anyway, i got say i accidentally killed meph for quest like 3 weeks ago on my 72 glitch sorce that i decided to do a new one. I think we all have ways to have our char level, and so on and so forth....what i really think you should do is find Akukami glitch sorce guide and combine it with Fredsta54 miniguide for cold sorce........thats what i did, and its an awesome combination.

I too just started playing D2 after 5 years (i dont know how i didnt lose the cd and the key) but if it wasnt for fredsta54 and Akukamis guides it would have been so much harder to become rich in the game. so, thats my 2 cents for you.
