Everyone go bot hunting

Palazar and I were hunting last night. He has a high level windy, and spamming nados at the wp gets an insta-kill.

I, on the other hand, was using my underpowered trapsin (normally a keyrunner). With only 4 k traps, I could slowly get his life down, but then he would juve! He was totally stunned, but it was a battle of attrition. I managed to kill a few, but mostly they would end up breaking out and tping to town. Either that or they chicken.

I like to think I did more damage to their overall MFing by wasting away all his juves and potions.

If only this was HC...then it would be very satisfying. As it is, I fear we are fighting a losing battle.

Im not hunting these to stop or hurt them, im hunting them for free and easy drops and 200k every few minutes.

The council is ideal for this...
 
Well, I got my first few kills (with a meteorb) tonight. You're right, this is fun and worthwhile ;).

Came across another hunter in one game, but I didn't stick around long to chat, so I don't recall who it was. It was a smiter. I think the character name started with D.
 
I've been lurking the forums for a while and this is the thread that gets me to join up.

Mostly, I wanted to thank those that suggested this fun part of the game. I managed to gamble the best ammy I've ever found using this endless supply of gold.
 
Ran across someone from here today (recognized the char name) in a Bot game with my 95 Zon who asked me if I was killing. I said ya, then he left.
It doesn't take too long to see the pattern and find a nice place to wait...usualy the Frigid WP.

Only once did the Bot start spamming hammers right off the bat at the wp with no monsters around (at least that I saw). Wasted my merc.
 
I got about 12 tonight.
Camped the Frigid waypoint and spammed hammers as soon as he pops up.
My FO sorc couldn't even dent those dorks.
 
i only read page 1, but what the bot is doing is advertising the site eexten.com or sumthing, and in script it has unid anni for x.xx$ and griffs for x.xx$ at site.com and it does trav then eld then shenk, and from the bots ive seen it then walks down to anya, pauses for about 15secs, then exits
 
I got my first couple of bot kills last night. Racked up about 1mil in gold but I am sad to report I did get slaughtered once :cry: I was standing on the waypoint at Frigid and ggg-tom decided to start hammering as soon as he appeared ... I ended up reclaiming my body and killing him at Shenk though.

Good time :thumbsup:
 
I ran into someone today who claimed to be unaware of this site or this thread but who said he'd been doing this for a long time and had been trying to keep it secret. We are not alone! ;-)

I'm happy to say i finally got in on this!

after getting a bit bored doing quests on new chars (far more chars then i can gear) i decided to go hunting

the *first* one i find i go and watch at trav. he got anniliated by Geleb Flamfinger - quite the laugh!
2nd and 3rd time i nailed him at the friged waypoint but i got bored of just standing there waiting for him
so the 4th time i try to have my hammers hitting him as he hits the waypoint.. sadly that caused a chicken effect
so since then i've been running pindle, then back to town to hostile and run shenk, and wait for him to wander through - where my hammers just happen to be flying in the air where he's about to walk...

made about 2 bil gold so far in 7 games - best gold find ever!!!

didin't snag any good drops past a 38ed jewel tho.. maybe next time

my mate just went into a game, hung around to watch trav - then used his lvl 70 necro (with an Ondals for better use) and brought the councel back to life

i just happened to join this game not fully realizing what he was doing.. i got to friged *just* in time for the most awsome screenshot ever...

and who is it you've seen around? me or my mate? lol

he's the more ladder one of the two of us but we did decide to do a bone&windy combo of Pinky and the Brain... (eventually i'll get gear for a windy.. i *just got 172 fcr nl - dam 34 spirit)

i should have taken ears... but i did get screenshots of all kills (or tried to) - imageshack hates me though so i was suprised to get those up....

but i love how unpartied he ran out of mana/no bonus from my aura so he got nailed fast

I just recognize the name from a few bot games. My dude's name is Reasonable_Man. His poor little hammers barely take out the dudes before they save & exit.
Earlier this morning I witnessed a freak occasion when one of these bots ran through my hammer field and didn't get hit~!
I think I'm done with killing them for a little while- can't hold anymore gold.


 
has anyone every tried it in hc? I think I've seen a few "annie for 9999" and I was wondering what the heck is a 999 before I read this thread.
