As far as a guide goes its pretty simple.
1. Locate a bot game. Pretty easy to find as the are named usually unid anni xxx, griffon xxx, and the newest i just saw was p combat xxx (where xxx is just random letters and numbers).
2. Join the game, if there is a tp in act 5 and you a lil late, then dont hostile the bot. I find it much easier to join it and steal its drops. If there is no tp, Hostile him immediately and as soon as you can go to frigid and kill eldritch and shenk. After you kill them just sit at the wp and wait. Easy kill and no gold drop for me has been less than 150k (best i can remember).
There are really 2 reasons to doing it this way, first you get 2 player drops instead of 1, and if your not careful and the bot gets by you and you chase it into monsters it will start throwing hammers and they pack quite a punch.
I have seen others kill the bot in travincal, but i prefer to mf eld and shenk myself, kill the bot, and then go to trav and pick up the leftovers, gems, runes, gold (oddly enough no bot i have seen yet picks up the trav gold).
My current bot killer is a lvl 86 lit only sorc doing a poor 11k lit damage

Fun Fun Fun. I don't think I'm even gonna make my own mf games anymore. It's just too fun to add the bot to the run and pick up some extra gold. Killed about 50 or 60 of these things today and I've learned just how big this business is. This particular site has at least 50 bots by my estimation. Of all the bots I killed I only had a few duplicate ears when I was done. That's a lot of hammerdins lol.
I sometimes kill them at frigid wp, but usually I try to get them at trav wp. It makes sense to do it the frigid way, but I just like to see those bots die before being able to pick up any drops at all, since trav seems to be the first place they go.

Only the noob item sites actually mf anyway.
FabianPrewett gets his kill.
Took awhile for him to come. Way I do it is that I charge then Smite, even if it's a 1pt Smite. I noticed that one, Zeal misses hardcore and two, that the knockback/stun is essential to ezpk these noobs. You at least have to kill Eldritch.
This one was a particularly roguish chap.

So I have 5 kills. I smell a contest.
I'll also come up with more strategies to hunting these people.

Wow - i go to bed last night after posting this...didnt expect that kind of response the day after lol
I killed about 15-20 of them last night until i got bored...they are way too easy
My method is: join a new game (the bot will run from cain to ormus to stash in act 3), kill Meph to get player 2 drops then go to travincal where the bot is will probably be still struggling with the council if you are fast enough. Just blizz from the distance.
About chicken hack: they use it if you kill them too slowly so your attack must be strong enough. They also pot (reds and juvies).
Last night i met 2-3 other fellow bot hunters in those games....now i bet it will be tough finding an unhostiled bot with all the hype

ive met a few forum goers while hunting, and i may have that ear zalc ill have to look. No ss of it tho, had about 8 kills between my first 2 ss's and the rest.
There are some that will leave the game right b4 they die, and yeah there are tons of diff ones.

Do they run on non-ladder, europe. Or is the a stricktly ladder thing? I haven't even started on ladder, so if they ever come. It'll be hard.
I'm look for some char advise. I only play amazons and it seems hard if I think about it. Poison will just make them quite. Lightning requires toe to toe, and if they teleport, it'll be very hard. And bow require good gear to pack enough punch. Once I get time, I might make a char just for that. Might be fun.

Yea nevermind i killed him just after posting this
The full mf sequence of the bot seems to be trav then eld/schenk then pindle...but when he's hostiled he cant enter the red portal :tongue:

Hmm, well I just got temp-banned for hunting these bots too fast :shocked:

His gear was (crappy) White wand, Stealth Armour, Homunculus and other junk. Inventory was full of mid runes and gems. A half decent guided arrow should take em down.

A cheapy bone nec sounds wonderfull, I think I'm gonna have to ask SSNLDO for some of my caster eq back so I can kick some bot ***.

You hardly even need it, the monsters you'll find at the frigid wp are actually more dangerous. Also I'm fairly sure these guys aren't teleporting, as my bonewalls seem to confuse them. And Meph runs would be much more sensible with a tele-bot.
