Entering Moo Moo Farm

I believe they still play D2 a bit, but only lurk in various forums now. They post in some of the "old-timer" threads that start here occasionally.

I cant put my money on this one but I THINK that I saw one ethereal once.

But I'm probably confusing the grayness from socketed to eth. same must be happening with Skullcap.

Well, maybe it's a socketed one that she mistaken it for an etheral one

I reckon I've done enough 1.09 cow runs w/ my LF Zon to take at least one (if not two) of each character class to lvl99. I have not yet seen a ethereal wirt's leg. I take it people are crossing a grey wirt's for an eth wirt's (at least I hope this is the case)

I don't see any reason to assume the confusion is anything more than an innocent mistake. Skullcaptain does seem to be relatively new to the game, and it's not like an eth Wirt's Leg, were it to exist, would offer any in-game advantage (and thus, there'd be no reason to hack one into existence). If the post had mentioned "my 3L173 eth Grandfather!!1!!1!one1!one!", it would be an entirely different matter.

I know that I have misremembered things in the past, particularly when lots of time has passed. Case in point: I could have sworn that way back when I first installed the expansion, I got drops from the Ancients, so I thought they did drop in an early patch. However, when I reinstalled it again (rolling back to Classic and then installing LoD v1.07), and killed them, they didn't drop anything. Conclusion #1: They can drop in an early patch, and I had bad luck this time around. Conclusion #2: They cannot drop, and my memory was faulty (most likely the case).

What have been of those guys AE? I mean, D2Addict and Icebird. When I first came to this forum D2Addict really helped me with some starter gear then later he gave me a baranar's start (my first one), and icebird had a lot of knowledge

I am still around and still host 1.09 cows believe it or not. :) It is not near as often now but we still MP about once a week on average. Icebird got sucked into one of the newer games (don't remember which off hand) and I have not "seen" him for quite a bit. I don't think I have ever seen an etheral leg either.

Hi to everyone who remembers me!

I was wnodering which one of this Wirt's leg will able to transmute with a 20 scrolls town portal tome to open secret cow level:
1. Entheral Wirt's leg
2. Normal Wirt's leg
3. Socketed Wirt's leg
which one works?
PS: i had never enter moo moo farm before, only see my friend did that.

Only an etherial one with 2 sockets has the ability to teleport you to the Cow Level after you socket it with 2 Zod runes of course. :wink3:

Also, Skullcaptain is playing 1.07, so it doesn't matter which difficulty the leg is from. Blizzard added that you can't use legs from different difficulties in 1.10. The applies for quest items.

hey i just saw this debate about eth wirts and swear ive seen a few. but i dont know the screenshot command.... if someone were to tell me how to do it i will deff pic the next that i find 4 u .

edit : i believe the difference is that wirts is a general "white" item therefore can spawn "nromal" or with sockets or even eth...hell u can even have it imbued by charsi

Ha ha-I remember the very first time I played I found a socketed leg and put it in my stash. After I finished the Charsi quest and had no idea what the imbue would do, I decided to test it on the leg. So, my very first imbue was a tricked-out Wirt's leg with sockets (don't remember if the sockets were still there after the imbue).
