Entering Moo Moo Farm

I was wnodering which one of this Wirt's leg will able to transmute with a 20 scrolls town portal tome to open secret cow level:
1. Entheral Wirt's leg
2. Normal Wirt's leg
3. Socketed Wirt's leg
which one works?
PS: i had never enter moo moo farm before, only see my friend did that.
 
I didn't know wirt's could be eth. Cool.

Nevertheless, to answer your question, it only matters the difficulty you're in and where the leg's from (i.e. in order to access cows in normal, you need the wirt's leg from normal difficulty. Same for nightmare and hell)...

I think.


Also, you probably know this, but just to be sure: if you kill the cow king you will no longer be able to access the moomoo farm in that difficulty (once you save and exit).

Edit: oh yeah, the tomb doesn't need to have 20 'scrolls' in it, it can have any quantity - IIRC. It's been a while since I ran cows.

Lolz. Any and every one of them will do. You don't need to full the tome with 20 scrolls of town portals when transmuting it with a wirt's leg.

it means any wirt's leg will do? i got one etheral from normal, don't know what to do about it, so i drop it on the floor and forget about it.

if you haven't killed Baal (or Diablo if you're not playing LoD) in normal I'd just leave it until you finish that difficulty, then come back and get another one (or you could mule it).

Another FYI - you can't access the farm until you "complete" that difficulty level.
 
Does Wirt's Leg can drop ethereal? In all my years playing I have never seen an ethereal wirt's leg....

Edit: Wonder how wirt walked after the durability of it's leg got to 0 :scratch:

As said, any leg will do, appropriate difficulty of course.

I wager that Wirt's Leg cannot spawn ethereal. I've not seen it, nor have I heard of it. Can anyone tell us different - from experience?
 
As for the wirt's leg with open sockets, it seems that Wirt has some serious issues with his calcium intake. Imagine your bones with holes that can be fitted with gems and stones?! :laugh:

Dude, its a piece of wood shaped into a leg. Its not his actual leg.

If your g/f indeed plays, you're a lucky guy. I've tried, with limited success (she prefers Mario games and stuff like that, ugh).

Back on topic: What patch was this in? I've never seen it ethereal, as far as I can remember. It's kinda like the other quest items (Staff of Kings, Horadric Staff, Khalim's Flail/Will, Hellforge Hammer) and set items (never seen any of those ethereal, either).
 
I think that we're being framed, in ALL my years playing (since 1.00) I have never seen, never heard of an ethereal wirt's leg. And this forum has a lot of experience. I take it that it CAN NOT be spawned ethereal.
 
I cant put my money on this one but I THINK that I saw one ethereal once.

But I'm probably confusing the grayness from socketed to eth. same must be happening with Skullcap.

It's kind of the opposite of what happened to me when I first installed the expansion, waaay back when. "Oh cool, socketed gloves!" Then I pick them up, and see they're absolute crap. Ahh, good times. :)

Agreed. And in 1.09, that broad experience included running cows in a big way. I'm sure that if D2Addict, Icebird or any of the hardcore cow runners would have seen an eth leg, they would have screenied and broadcast it loudly to the forum. :wink3:
 
What have been of those guys AE? I mean, D2Addict and Icebird. When I first came to this forum D2Addict really helped me with some starter gear then later he gave me a baranar's start (my first one), and icebird had a lot of knowledge
