Ender's Mafia Game

I still don't feel my last post came out any clearer. Well if anyone is confused on what I'm trying to convey, let me know and I'll do my best to clarify.

We're nearly out of time and unless we see a last minute rush of votes, seems like we're gonna have a non-lynch today. That said, you pointed out the main things that warranted pointing out I think. Discussion feels off this game, but hopefully it will smooth out going forward.

I just got home and have only read a bit on the bus. I'm far from convinced that korial is scum, but a nolynch day is not a good option, so I will vote for the only possibility.

Sorry for my absence today. I had to go over to a good friend who needed a friend today.

Vote: korialstraz

Neither ?

So you have your vote on someone who won't be lynched, which is equivalent to a non-vote. But you don't think that's worth questioning. I guess not, since you are you and obviously you know why you voted the way you did. But I am curious about it to be sure.

I'm also curious about the people who haven't voted or given any input. I am very curious why you think those folks aren't leads on where to look.

I guess what I'm most curious to know is why you only think people voting for Korialstraz to be lynched are leads. That kind of certainty seems like it would be pretty limited at this point in the game.

Another promising student. Has all the smarts. He can do geometry like you wouldn't believe.

I can't believe you're still surprised about this.

How aren't you surprised? They were all so passive when that group of students attacked him.

Everyone knows that if you can't beat them in class you have to beat them in the battle room. . . or the bathroom, or gym.

Well, when are we going to stop these attacks from happening? We have to interfere!

Not until we've found one who can win.

What, we just wait until they pick Ender!?

No, we don't know he's the best.

. . .

We will increase watch. Make it look like we're trying. They students are smart enough to get around our watch schedules, but too naive to realize it's for show to begin with.

Day has ended.
korialstraz has been lynched.
He was William Bee, vanilla townie.

Night lasts 24 hours as usual.

You see what happens?

Don't think I'm taking this lightly. I didn't think anyone would be this hurt.

We have to stop the fights from taking place, or risk incarceration.

Obviously. But. . . it worked.

That doesn't change the fact that two boys DIED today. They're CHILDREN!

I keep telling myself that it's either humanity as a whole, or a few accidents in order to choose the right commander. If we interfered it would have destroyed him.

*reminder that stories are unrelated to game, and that the number dead reflects this night by coincidence*

Solar Ice has been killed.
Bad Ash has been killed.

Day has started early, and will end at GMT -5 on Saturday. Might move that a bit later because of apartment viewings that day.

18 players alive. 9 to lynch, 10 to lock.

Interesting. I don't think you mentioned that you are suspicious of Drixx before, what is your reasoning on that?

My suspicion of Drixx was only his association with korial at the time, I'm not sure what to make of it now that korial flipped town.

You said that it is equally likely that they were Mafia slips in post 140. But if it is equally likely to you that they are Mafia slips, why have you been so defiant that he is a Townie? It looks to me like you are playing both sides here and covering yourself in case Kitteh gets lynched.

Something about this just does not sit well with me.

I'm not so defiant that he's town, that was just what my feeling of the whole situation was. Now, I'm not entirely sure. I always said that there was an equal chance of him being town or mafia, that's because it's true.

You seem pretty light on your own thoughts today (just reviewed your post history), but fairly happy to interpret other people's thoughts. You say there is a "large case" made against Korialstraz. What large case is that?

You say the only other suspicious person is me, but you give no reason for that either.

When I say large case I mean that was where most of the discussion was, not that there was much overwhelming evidence behind it. I only found you suspicious by association.

Zokar, your play so far is very strange. Do you care to elaborate why? It's all emoticons and no explanations. It leads me to believe you're just trying to get lynched, i.e. VI or something similar.

Zokar ... can you explain why your interactions with the game have thus far been mostly restricted to emoticons, votes and very few words?

My suspicion of Drixx was only his association with korial at the time, I'm not sure what to make of it now that korial flipped town.

The only "association" we had was based upon the fact that CG was killed after interacting with both of us and that korialstraz was too quick to suggest that CG was killed because of those interactions. Given that Korialstraz flipped townie, maybe he was on to something? I said yesterday it was a pretty flimsy case against him and that someone playing as mafia would be essentially suicidal to make the opening post that he made.

The question is whether any scum were involved in exploiting his post to make him look bad or if it was overzealous townies and the mafia were able to just sit back and let it happen.

We have some odd votes yesterday to look at. Some odd posts (including Zokar's continuing odd posts) to look at. I would judge it far more likely that we'll find mafia in the no vote group and the group of people who posted little to nothing of their own thoughts and simply used other people's posts and votes as an excuse to ensure the lynch, as opposed finding them driving the train against Korialstraz. Honestly his play was just a bad misplay and the wagon started so quickly on him that I think it unlikely scum would have stepped into the light to start the wagon so soon. Maybe if it had happened later in the "day" perhaps.

I feel kind of like my thoughts are going in circles. Welcome to mafia, I guess, right?

Do you know something the rest of us don't? How could there be an "equal" chance of someone being town or mafia on day one?

So what does him coming up townie imply about me, in your mind?

I feel that there are still a good portion of people who are a pretty inactive so far, and that's unsettling. Zokar is the most puzzling on my mind right now.

I don't know something the rest of you don't, the equal chance means that the person can either be town or mafia, that is; there's only two possibilities of alignment (excluding cult groups or people with their own win condition). Equal is a bad word to use because it implies that there is an even amount of mafia and town, which makes no sense.

Him coming up as townie doesn't validate anything about you, I think, although I think it makes you look pretty town. But maybe I'm missing a scenario there, I can't think as in-depth as some other players. I'm sure they'll voice their own opinion soon enough.

I'm also concerned about the two deaths in the night. Hopefully one of the more experienced players will give some possibilities for how that happens.

I agree with Zokar being puzzling, but find it likely that he's a Village Idiot. Idiosyncratic posts like that definitely draw attention to oneself, which only makes sense strategically if someone is trying to draw a lynch. Just my opinion, but I would lean against lynching him.
