Druid Fire claws Bear - a simple question

Re: Druid Fire claws Bear - a simple question

^ what purplelocust said.
The only other option would be a War Scythe (80dex/80str).
Though the axe is range 3 and the scythe is range 5, does this matter to the fire claw skill or is it at a fixed/max range?

Re: Druid Fire claws Bear - a simple question

Medusa's Gaze seems like it'd have a use among FC druids, though.

If i good remember, almost everyone, who tried enhance his (her) damage by using Medusas Lower resist was dissapointed by the results...I might be wrong, though :scratchchin:

And btw, str requirement is a bit high to my taste :p

@purple:Thanks for the links and for sharing Your knowledge, i really appreciate it

Although i'm big fan of characters wielding two handed weapon (read - Barbarians :whistling:), i wanna go this time 1handed...And im too lazy try to find specific weapon anyway

Btw:I've recently found in AT my first jewelers monarch, but it has +40 to life as second mod...So this is certainly not option and if i ever find one, it will go immediately to my pure java for sure :-)

I tried Medusa's Gaze for a FC bear (Jeltz) and for a pure Tesladin (Vogonotronic). I wasn't impressed with either one, to be honest. I wanted the shield to be useful, but it was pretty much inferior to a physical damage option (crushing blow at 4FPA is good) or a lower resist wand on switch. For a bear, the LR wand/dagger means into and out of wereform, but that is better than waiting to get hit. And that was in softcore!

Re: Druid Fire claws Bear - a simple question

Back to the weapon, don't forget that 4FPA FC bear is faster than palazealot, 5fpa is almost the same speed as palazealot (5*5=25 vs. 8+4*4=24). With this kind of speed, the durability comes to play on your nerves, so PB fixes the need for repair trips.

Re: Druid Fire claws Bear - a simple question

Hrus hits a great point there, anyone ever messing around with breakable weapons on truly fast swinging characters knows how annoying broken weapons are. My Wolf barb swinging a shaeled caddy breaks it all the time it gets a bit annoying.
