Droprate of Strength Charms

Hi,

I have been unable to dig an answer up for this with google.

But here is my question. How can I calculate or look up the droprate of a SPECIFIC charm. In my case I need the best place to find Strength charms. Does not matter if they are small or large, but they do have to be relatively low-level though, so no high-end prefixes.

Is it possible to answer this question? I can use the drop-calculator in ATMA and find droprates for any charm but that is not useful information for me.

PS: You could say that the trade-forum is the right place for me, but I would like an answer to this question anyway :)

Play with input ilvl for awhile until you find the desired affix with the best chance. Try to not have affixes with the higher affix level - the lowers the chance fo your desired affix.

EDIT: If you want to know the whole algorithm, read the Warrior's Item Creation Tutorial stickied here.

If you don't mind me asking - why do you want to use strength charms? A Stregnth SC can have +2strength, which is at best equivalent to a +6Life SC. A Strength LC can have +5 strength, which is at the very best equivalent to a +15Life LC or two SCs with +7 and +8 life.

Even if you have the choice of a +15Life or a +5 Strength the life option is better as it gives you more flexability later on if you find something better as it won't mean you can't carry your items anymore.

Information about charms is NOT sent to other players in a game, so if your str (or dex) without charms will not let you equip your gear, your character will appear naked (or not fully equipped) to other players.

Str and dex charms can be used to use you items untill you get a torch/anni. Many end-gear rw's and other items have lower lvl reqs then these unique charms, so you'd want to use them even before having the bonus from anni+torch, without wasting points in str and dex.

+5 dex and str LCs have a level req of 13 and the alvl of that affix is 18. They should drop in late normal and beyond. Somebody else might do the exact math, I don't remember the base qlvl of LCs right now :azn:

Regarding the use of +str charms, I agree with Kijya. I like to solo through all of the game with my characters instead of getting rushed, so my characters need the charms to wear decent equipment before they can equip torches and annis. without wasting stat points. I have about 10 +5str LCs and 6-8 +5dex LCs for that purpose, as well as a breastplate with a combination of PAmethysts and PEmeralds. Also, the merc has to be able to wear an eth Insight battle scythe at L27 (which makes him a better killer than my character for a time !), so he gets a Wormskull with a PEmerald at that level to meet the dex req.
