Definition of "taint"

Humm... Can i check somewhere if i am Tainted?

-Edit- Err... I think i have understood it wrong. Theres noway to see it right? Its just like... A feeling, that you haven't played right?

A feeling, personal ethics, different terms but they all boil down to the same: Some members don't want to use mods, or items obtained in modded games.
Therefore, it is politely requested of all SPF'ers to
a. State their mod status.
b. Respect other's views on this matter.

It's actually not about playing right or wrong, or about honor. That's why some people prefer the word "affected" instead of "tainted". Tainted actually means affected by any third party application, both directly or indirectly. Most just don't prefer to mix items from modded and unmodded games. My analogy to "paint" was just to make it easier to understand how it spreads and how one can be tainted without actually using mods themselves.


@ Cloud_Walker: Since noone else mentioned it, neither runes nor runewords can be traded in the SPF. Just to avoid confusion...
