I was having an issue with the role PMs. I meant to copy/paste the up-to-date contents listed in post 4 but every time I tried to edit or quote that post (to copy the formatting tags) the contents were missing. Therefore, I sent everyone an "older" copy I had saved. That older copy isn't as up-to-date as post 4.

Politician. I blocked somebody last night. Haven't thought very much of what other roles except reflector and bus driver could cause a no kill. Thinking about what information we need to being able to determine if the no kill was because of a block or because of the reflector or if there is any other role that could have influenced it.

I think that if anyone needs to claim their target, it's you. Knowing who the current king is helps keep them honest.

There are 2 ways I saw it working out:
1. I give it to a townie (I picked someone I thought to be townie) and they use it, giving us a guaranteed no kill night.
2. I give it to a mafioso they then have to either use it and miss the next night or not use it and look very suspicious for not using it.
All outcomes I could come up with were a win for the town.

Neither reflector nor bus driver would have prevented the kill. Only moved it to another target.

This has been one long week. I only did a very quick skim of the posts up to where I last came in. I plan on doing a full read and quote of posts, but won't be able to until tomorrow morning. Since we are claiming what we had the day after once they have rotated I will go ahead and claim. I was the mime and I used it to copy the reflector role. After reading through all the roles I determined that most of them either aren't that useful for a day 1 copy, or would just cause more confusion than its worth. (Forensic scientist copy would add extra DNA possibly construing results of analysis, bus driver would just make a mess of things, psychic I wouldn't want to be responsible for giving out a card to a mafiso, and since there are no solid townies this would be risky, etc, etc.). The reflector has a one shot ability to reflect a night kill and since kills the first night are usually random and it was gaurenteed to still have its charge I figured it was a worthwhile choice for the mafia to have a 2 in x (x being the number of townies) chance to send a kill on someone that would send it right back at them.
1. See a bit above that post. I first posted that I wouldn't vote Mal and somebody turned that on meas being bad as well (think CG, but not sure). That's where the "can't do it right" comes from.
2. I voted Mal because of the comment mentioned above. Probably just forgot to unvote. The vote counted, didn't it? I'll go back and check.
Ok, so the only way to avoid a NK is the roleblock from the politician?

I'm not sure how much you were paying attention, but you certainly were hot and heavy with the kestegs/Sathoris thingy.
