Confused - runeword "Leaf"

Why is runeword "leaf" not activated??

I inserted first "Tir", then Ral".

It's a short staff ("Kurzstab" in german).

Yeah in that item it will not work, you need a 2os staff with that is grey (not blue) you can shop one in a2 at drognan

Yes you cannot have magic items, like in every rune word. Only normal items (and also superior).

You can buy staves from Drognan, run in and out until you get a good one, like this:
