my latest theme toward char-naming was making them char-related. I had Laggsteress (people liked that one), Lagbag, and Wirts_Lag who have then had not yet ventured outside the rogue camp... before I gave the account to somebody right before joining the army. Now that I'm discharged, and found out I was able to keep my other accounts active, it's back to d2 :uhhuh:
Ok.. some of my latest chars..
Vipermage (!?) - Blizz sorc..Kinda boring. But I was surprised to find the name available.
Ash-Williams - Charging Sanctuary+synergy dude. Fun name. He's wielding an upgraded Vile Husk with an ed% jewel and is supposed to do something like 2000% ed to undead. Very disappointing build.
Madman-Jones - Frenzybarb.
Capt-Planet - Avenger. Captain-Planet was taken but I thought that the name suited the char so what the hell.
Gee-Wiz - Enchantress. level 6 atm..
Whirlin-Wirt - Ww-barb with swords.
Burnin-Bob - Holy fire pala. (I found that stupid pala shield with hydra etc, leved to 23 and got tired of him. I also have a 4 socket phase blade in case I ever get the runes for Hand of Justice (not likely))
Maniac-Mac - IK barb with max Berserk

also have a pure summoner named skellister (my acc is mr.sinister, so i used the -ister to identify them.....realised that it wouldnt work out though)

The vast majority of my character names and accounts are Egyptian deities, or Egytian words placed together to form a name, but most of them are mules. The bonus with that is that I have never been rejected because there are so few people that know Egyptian gods except in their Greek form, and when I already have one character with a name there are acceptable variations (Sekhmet instead of Sekhet) based on different translations. Actually, come to think of it there is one member of the pantheon that I couldn't get - Nut, but I wouldn't want that name anyway. I also use mythological and historical names and fantasy names all of which are appropriate to the build. Some examples are:

Djehuti (better known as Thoth) - my main account name
Meriselk (Beloved of Selk - the scorpion god) - lvl 6 asn
Selket (female counterpart to Selk) - asn mule
Serqpeta (Scorion-Bow) - lvl 81 Venom ranger asn
Sekhmet/Sekhet (both variant spellings of the goddess that burnt the earth to ashes) - both abandoned fire sorcs
Horemakhet (Horus in the Horizon) - account name...also my email address for about 4 years before I realized what people that didn't know Egyptian thought it meant...

I like to try to make up my own names that match who they are and what have and do, like a brave and noble paladin known as Sir Alcheron [prenounced AL-SHRON], or a swift and silent amazon known as Hadriel.in fact for dungeons and dragons they have a book just for names.

I used to try and make serious names, but then I realized that I find it much more enjoyable to see a silly name as my character. That or I try to base them off of animé characters.

I like to stay with a theme... I was *Pine-sol on west and had Febreze, and CascadeComplete and stuff.
Now on east I am Killer.Queen. and my char's are all Queen songs... Like One-Vision, AKind_OfMagic, FlickOfTheWrist, WeWill_RockYou and such.
