Can i play this game with one classic CD key, buy two expansion CD keys?

Would this game work if i installed the game on two of my computers. But they would both use the same classic CD key, although i have two expansion CDs with two expansion CD keys. Would it work even though the same classic CD key is being used?

it would work, but not if you wanted to play online.

bnet requires unique keys for each client instance loaded.

are you trying to use 2 copies of d2 at the same time? if you are then you need 2 different sets of classic+expansion

Nah im just wondering since i found a copy of the Diablo 2 expansion outside of Wal-Mart on the ground (yes, im serious) with the CD key and everything so im just wondering.

And i've been a little sidetracking, im sure i will be on for a good while tomorrow. Heading to sleep now, but im sure ill play tomorrow.

I've heard of people opening up the boxes for games, writing the CD key-down then just abandoning the box. Maybe something like that happened with the box you found, so don't be surprised if you find someone using your CD-key from time to time.

LOL. That's funny. I was curious how you got a hold of a copy of the expansion without classic....I haven't seen them bundled separately since LoD came out...every since I've only seen the Battle Chest on shelves.

I still see them sold individually in Wal-Mart actually. They have the Battle Chest available also.

I avoid Wal-Mar at all costs....that must be why I haven't seen them separate...
