Broken links ***PLEASE POST HERE!!***

The forums are experiencing a problem in which one of the issues is broken links, especially in threads that have links posted in them. We need help putting these threads, especially the Build Guide Thread back together. If you see a thread that is linked in the build Guide sticky or any other thread please post the link here for me. I will repair the stickies and the thread with ther broken link.

Please do not post the links as a name like this. Please post them like www.photobucket.com this so I can copy and paste into my browser.

Hi there, not posted on these forums in years, but I may be able to help (unless I'm misunderstanding the problem).

The links in the build guide/FAQ thread are all broken, right? I noticed these links all have one thing in common: they direct to purediablo.com, and as soon as I manually changed the link in my browser to have diii.net instead (that was the only change) they worked.

The URL points to http://www.purediablo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=480035, but http://www.purediablo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=480035 works.

You may only need to do a quick edit on the links in the build/FAQ thread to update the references as the thread/post numbers are still the same.

Well, that's my idea too. All you need to do is copy everything in wordpad/notepad/word and use replace (ctrl h) and replace forums.purediablo.com by diablo.incgamers.com/forums.

Not that I'm complaining about the work of the mods, but it would be very interesting to get the stickies up to date as soon as possible. And it's not much work. Just two copies and a replace.

Hi, I'm sure you're aware but just incase....the links to guides in every build thread ( druid, assa etc. ) seem to be broken as well, do you want them all?

Not really, i just starting to play DII again some time ago..
I'm like looking for some site or forum where you can find a lot of build guides for every class, plus i'm also a newbie to the forum:p

I guessed that you could say that i found finally some good guides are the links broken, too badxD

Also a question that rather off-topic is, http://diablo2.diablowiki.net/Main_Page why is that wiki no more?

hey, dacar, i've noticed a few times where the link to a guide takes one to the post you made telling it was added instead of to the top of the guide. i can go through them, but then again i've meant to post this info here before so you can see how reliable i am...

Show me a couple in particular would you? There must be a notation in the url that points it to the specific post instead of the thread itself. I'll go through and edit them.

these all link to a post you made instead of an original post. sorry i didnt make sure to figure out which one went where in the sticky. they're in order top to bottom though. there's also another one, but it was linking to the 2nd post in the thread, the first being a question so i think that one would be alright.

They point to a post I made? The first one points to post # 6. But whatever, the url's should work now and point to the first post. The stuff from the wiki I will have to look into a little further.

How about we leave the 1.11 discussion in there so we can refer back to our thinking way back then.

bumping this since the build guide sticky has disappeared. Trying to find out what happened.
