Bowazon Question-How Much Dex???

Bowazon Question-How Much Dex???

ok,a friend of mine told me that, when building a Bowazon,i should have at least 250 dexterity base (plus whatever with torch,Annihulus, etc.) is this about right or should it be more, less, what?

hc or sc?

you only want as much strength to equip and then only as much vit as you think you need...many zons go base life and pump dex >400.

a point in dex = 1% ED....dex improves your a/r too.

250 is too low.

I concur. By level 85+ Bowa, I usually end up with around 700 life total with all my modifiers...this gives me just enough life to keep from getting one-hitted in the usual running around by most monsters. My dex is currently 399 after mods and every time I level up I just click the Dex button 5 times.
I don't even think I have put one point to mana.

physical bowazons mostly go for all possible dex.. magezons can get mana/life too but its totaly an differend char anyways.

also this does not include hc gamers

If you shift-click in the stats screen, all unspent points go into the selected stat.

Regarding the original issue: It depends on the gear, as usual.

If you have Faith and perhaps Fortitude, I would go with as little dex as possible.

Regarding ar, Faith has ITD and versus bosses you either use GA (always hits) or you benefit from the 300% ar bonus.

Regarding damage, Faith and Fortitude, might from the act 2 nightmare offensive merc and perhaps even conc from the Pride runeword he wears add lots of off-weapon %ed, so I think you further off-weapon %ed from dex isn't really needed.

That's right, however you don't really need much strength either, and with decent dual-leech, resistances and passive skills (valk + dodge/avoid/evade), you need few life and mana too. So dexterity is still the way to go. More damage never hurts when all the rest is already high enough .

Mine went all dex, over 500. She has about 800 life from her gear, just enough to allow me 2-3 mistakes before she croaks. Her real defense lies in her mercenary and Valk.

...and Dodge/Avoid/Evade ? These 1-pt wonders should never be neglected .
Actually, I don't rely on D/A/E that much, since if I ever get caught in a situation where D/A/E comes into significant play, I'm usually dead already.
I still put a point into each of them for some added safety, but my main line of defense is still my mercenary and Valk.

The save and exit button is my last line of defense.
I just looked at my zon, and I have almost 400 dex, but very little vitality...
I think I'm gonna need to pump some stats in there.

A glass cannon build is just pretty much pure dexterity and nothing in vitality, so you have maximum amounts of damage, but your zon is incredibly fragile.

yes i would have to agree. my last bowa was lvl 92 and with gear she had 503 dex. i made up for low vita with max/life charms. if you have access to nice max/life charms i would recommend pumping your dex up as much as possible. to me, a zon needs 6-7k ga to be successful in pvp............if it's just for pvm then you can suffer pts in dex and supplement with vita.

my zons a glass cannon. they are good in pvm and pvp
stats:
str: bare minimum of items
dex: everything else in it
vit: maybe 5 in it
ene:none

skills:
max crit
max guided
5 at most in multi
1 into valk
1 into cold arrow (to eliminate the immune to phys)
1-3 in the penetrate (the attack rating passive skill)
rest in strafe (great for pvm)

theres a basic guide
