best gamble lvl and gamble facts wanted

looked around and cant find info on this. i heard best gamble lvl is 90+ is the true? what other things is it worth noting about gambling? making a frenzy gold finder :P
edit: does barbs find item also find gold? worth 1 or 2 skills for gold finder?
 
With gambling, in general, higher Clvls are preferred (comes handy when crafting Amulets too), unless you're targetting something that can only be achieved with lower Clvls.

Gambling is pretty simple. Your chances for Uniques and Sets are low, equip "Edge" and Gheed's Fortune, and gamble in Hell to make the most out of your gold (difficulty doesn't matter, but in Normal you can sell items for 5k maximum, which is something you don't want especially if you can sell it in Hell for 35k).

so u can gamble for unqiues? im sure from 1.09 u couldnt. they changed it now?
ill be gambling with my lvl 92 pala :P
 
Yes, you can gamble for uniques and sets, although the chances are pretty low.
 
The major level I try to get is clvl 93. That's because then any amulet you gamble with be at least ilvl 88, so when you craft it with your clvl 93 character, it's guaranteed to be at least ilvl 90, which is the minimum level required to have +2 skills.

gambling: ilvl = clvl-5 to clvl+4
crafting: ilvl/2 + clvl/2 = new ilvl

so,

worst outcome gambling (if clvl 93) = 93-5 = 88
crafting: 93/2 + 88/2 = 90.5 = 90 (always rounded down)
 
Have you an idea, what you want to gamble?
For amus, circlets and coronets a lvl>90 would be nice, lvl95 for best chances, if you however gamble for gloves or boots you might want a lower level to exclude some pre- and suffixes.
 
gambling guide? i could write 1 now.

i have gold---> theres is circlet-----> i buy.

sorry couldnt resist the sarcasm (very tired and sarcasm comes to me) but no i do agree a guide would be usefull

Well i never gamble becaouse i think its a waste of gold (Same for rerolling charms, waste of pgems). I don`t know much about how clvl is related to the items recieved, but if you post me some info i go ahead and write a gambling guide. :thumbsup:

Well that`s just me. I`m new on Bnet so I never had excess of gold. But rerolling charms? That realy seems absurd to me. You would probably spend more pgems to get a godly skiller+life gc than on buying one. Never calculated it, but I think it`s a safe guess.
 
It's quite rare but I gambled a 24 mara's a few weeks ago, I have also gambled a few coronets that are worth more than the gold it took to gamble them so it's worth the time and excess gold to do so IMO.

I reroll my gc's as well, I haven't rolled but a couple sellable skillers so far and have lost probably two um over what I've gained but I like doing it because it's something different than just mf'ing all day, same goes for gambling. If only I had an unlimited supply of gold and pgems... :cloud9:
 
i agree cuz you dont really need gold to even repair....i just use a ort for weapons and ral for armors....and if charges are missing (costly) just use a chipped gem...(doesnt matter wut kind)......i mainly use gold for gambling and i everyonce in a while get something good....but you just gotta have a steady income....get the armor runeword "wealth", get 2 dwarfs, chancies, thats 700 gold find and just go do hell trav...that brings in quite a bit of money =)

Well every1 is allowed to do what he wants as long as it`s fun and legit, right? ;)

Back on the gambling-guide problem: has this been done before? I don`t want to make excessive work if this has been done before, it would be much simpler to just post a link, no? And anyways: do you guys want a guide like this? IMO gambling is not a big deal, so I don`t think many ppl would be interested about a gambling guide..
 
The facts about gambling are all known, and quite a few of them are in the Item Generation Tutorial. No guide on just gambling tho.
