For boss killing Talon 'Sin with Stormlash is really hard to beat.

If you're playing ladder I guess you'll want to take on Ubers eventually and that bad girl will wipe them out in about three minutes.

May or may not be quite as fast as a twinked out smiter but it's about a 10th (or less) the cost.

I'm fairly certain that a Charged Strike zon is unbeatable when it comes to boss killing. I mean, there is no way in hell that static proc of any kind will beat the raw damage that all of bolts do. If you throw on some CB on the zon on top of CS, she'll be best for sure.

My point about HoW was of course that it helps the skellies damage, just like Fanaticism.

I played HC as a part of a team, I was the Pally. Fanaticism helps to kill things, Cleansing, Salvation help against those rare dangerous situations (cursed in a dangerous area, conviction LE stuff, etc), finally Vengeance will easily kill the rare unbreakable PI monster. If you play SC, Vigor is very helpful too. At early levels Might helps a lot with the skellies. Pally+Necro is a great combo.

Also, you're really overestimating the issue of boss killing. Zeal with any amount of CB is enough. Actually, any melee attack with any amount of CB is enough. Getting the first body is much more useful than that.

I'm no expert but I feel Uber killing (since the OP said they'd be playing the new ladder) is slightly different to normal SP boss killing.

I'm sure a charged strike Zon kicks butt on the game's normal bosses and if that's all the OP decides to run it'll be a great compliment to a summon necro.

If they do decide to run Ubers it's a little more difficult with an elemental bassed character, especially lightning as Uber Meph (your most dangerous boss) is lightning immune.

However, if they decide to only run the normal game then the Zon will be all good.

I have no idea about Ubers. I can't imagine Fanatic Zealot with lots of CB could be wrong there.

Low (for Uber) attack rating I believe. Plus as a Paladin you have smite as an auto hit attack so no need to use anything else!

Well, you can always use Conviction to help with hitting Ubers I guess. Or smite stuff. I mean, if you want to deal CB, 1-pt smite is enough, yeah?

Oh yeah, 1-point smite is all good. Really all a Paladin needs is smite/CB/life tap.

However, the one issue I have with paladins online is everyone has one so gear is so expensive.

Hence why I like the 'Sin. You can make one that is 95% as good as the Paladin at killing Ubers but costs 10% as much.

All this of course assuming the OP does want to have a crack at Uber Tristram.

Well, I'm only advocating Paladin here because Fanaticism is really the best thing that can happen to the skeleton army. It's a great combination, at all levels (Might early on).
