Baldur's Gate Mafia Game

Before I vote I'd like some info. How big is 40 meters? Can I get a conversion to a real measurement please?

Amen. I hate useless units. When the metric system figures out a good unit for pressure and useful units for all measures, we can think about it. Until then, A foot is my foot, a yard is my stride. A meter is meaningless yada yada. Oh and I am glad you guys don't use metric seconds, the 60/24 must annoy you.

And you speak of currency, don't tell me about all the different monopoly money i have to use when i am out of america.

Seriously though, SI's neck was slashed a foot in length and the beast is 40m. Are any on the list American?

Dragonhung: Moar - I agree that the oddly phrased paragraph which results in the first four capital letters being M O A R is probably the most likely embedded clue. Interesting to see who jumped on it right away but didn't point out why and interesting to see who pointed out why. Potentially useful information later I'd say.

Excited about a game with the Baldur's Gate theme. For those interested in the game, GoG has an updated graphics version of it fairly cheap, as does steam.

Tomorrow I'm driving back to Denver.

So do you think some people had knowledge of the dragon ahead of time?

He was just complimenting her. She's Dragonhung. Most of the guys here are jealous of her.

I dont even...

The black market in america uses metric. Possibly because we get our black market surplus overseas.

“Yes. I was once an adventurer not unlike many here in this Hall. The Red Dragon is the most covetous of all the dragons. It believes that wealth belongs to those strong enough to take it and thus lives by that principle, applying it to even itself. It is said that killing this beast bestows rewards upon those that did the deedâ€

Pausing to take a swig of mead he continued, “As to why it disappeared, it did not. It can take the form of humans with ease but it can not stay in that form for long. Just enough time for it to escape. Why it is here in Baldur’s Gate, I do not know.â€

At first squirt, I thought of Valhauros because of the bolded/underlined text. I'm not much for the first letter in the sentence thingy. It seemed to me to speak of the sort of character he tends to play.

Valhauros CAN be human....I said can, I'm not implying that he is.

My first thought was Jcakes because of the whole SPF "you can't really leave" (can't remember exact phrasing).

However, the Moar case looks stronger to me. The sentences do seem a bit forced.

If she is dragonhung, I think she(he) has some explaining to do.

Val? Human? Have you lost your mind flubb?

And Solar, resorting to the first letter of each sentence for hints, psh, you can do better than that.

One inch = 2.54 centimetres, or 0.0254 metres
One foot = 30.48 centimetres, or 0.348 metres
One yard = 91.44 centimetres, or 0.9144 metres
One chain = 20.1168 metres
One furlong = 201.168 metres
One mile = 1609.344 metres = 1.609344 kilometres
One league = 4828.032 metres = 4.828032 kilometres

Imperial units:

One foot = 12 inches
One yard = 3 feet = 36 inches
One chain = 22 yards = 66 feet
One furlong = 10 chains = 220 yards = 660 feet
One mile = 8 furlongs = 1760 yards = 5280 feet
One league = 3 miles = 5280 yards = 15840 feet

Sensible units:

One picometre = 1000 femptometres
One nanometre = 1000 picometres
One micrometre = 1000 nanometres
One millimetre = 1000 micrometres
One centimetre = 10 millimetres
One metre = 100 centimetres = 1000 millimetres
One kilometre = 1000 metres

Now, which of these makes the most sense with a base 10 number system?
