Yup, I think it's clear to say that baal runs on ladder are officially extinct. I spent the better part of an hour looking for baal runs in hell and I only saw about 3 or 4, and those 3 or 4 were terrible and appeared to take half an hour for one run. Goodbye baal runs, you will be missed.

Baal runs suck. when I have time to burn, I simply create a game and clear out my favourite areas.

One of these days I'm going to do a FULL HELL CLEAR, ancients included, just for fun.. lol. I'll report on the loot afterwards.

Like many other here, when I saw the lack of baal runs, I decided to start my own. It did bring back memories. Old school getting BO'ed at the wp with all the trimmings, like people giving me gold for merc resurrections and people saving up full juvies for me.

My character wasn't exactly ideal for teleing to baal, but I had the guts to keep teleing run after run even when my health often dropped to 100 and I had millions of exp at stake. The run stayed alive for close to 50 runs, till I hit 89 from 87 and had to knock out, but it was quite fun. Good thing was that there were plenty of high level, powerful chars along for the ride, so once I got to the throne, no matter how nasty it is, I just pop a tp in the best spot I could find and the cavalry would rush in. No one held back worrying about exp loss cuz they knew my butt was frying in there for them.

I died a total of 3 times, 2 of them were at the throne room with no tp up, surrounded by souls and dolls. Every single time, several people volunteered to go all the way down to clear my body, which they did, saving me a total of 40 million exp.

I had a great time and made a few friends along the way. So to botbaal games, all I say is, GOOD RIDDANCE!

'bots' = robots.

Characters played not by a human but by a computer. They use maphack to teleport right into the throne room and clear it out. Then logout and repeat.

If I am not a maphack I won't teleport to throne in like 20 seconds... (I am human and I need to be loved)
So why I need bots (just like everybody else does)

Which seems like the OP's attitude about having to "run" Baal instead of just sitting in town waiting for the bot.
