Baal runs......Rest In Peace my friend...

Yup, I think it's clear to say that baal runs on ladder are officially extinct. I spent the better part of an hour looking for baal runs in hell and I only saw about 3 or 4, and those 3 or 4 were terrible and appeared to take half an hour for one run. Goodbye baal runs, you will be missed.
 
What are you talking about?! Now that the bots are gone, it's back to old school style of Baal runs! You know, teleporter waiting at the wp, gets bo'ed, a tp pops that you know for a fact you'd have to help clearing once you go through... That kind of stuff!

Nevermind the 3 or 4 failed runs you've had, the Baal runners of old are returning, and you should even consider making a runner as well. (you can tell I'm way too excited, can't you?)

Don't worry, be happy :D
 
Only downside with bots gone is that you now will see "WHO TELEPROTZ??!!!!!!111" and "SORCHEREZZ LVLZ 85 GO!!" along with the "NO, I AM CLOSE TO LVLUP".

I can live with that, just use the squelch! :)
 
I host my own private Baal runs for me and my friends. So I don't miss the bots; they don't affect me. :azn:
 
Meh, I am the bot and I am the maphack, what else do I need?
If I am not a bot my sorc wont have level 95...
If I am not a maphack I won't teleport to throne in like 20 seconds...
So why I need bots :azn:
 
Now if only Blizzard was as smart as to clear the entire realms in this sequenze:

1) close all realms temporarily
2) delete/close/lock/ban all users of hacks and bots
3) run active ruststorms to delete all dupes, even the ones in runewords
4) reset the ladder
5) re-open all the realms

Is it so hard to do it right? By next week they'll have new hacks and bots, so if the ladder resets then (and it probably will) it was all just a drop of water on a hot plate...

So why I need bots (just like everybody else does)
 
I've been in several series of baalruns today, all run by real people instead of bots, and none using maphack. If anything, the runs are faster than what I was used to seeing before the mass banning - just a bit more variable in the time it takes to get down there.

You just have to search a bit to find a good run.
 
Sry guy, but i am not very good in english (not my main language), and i dont understand what is the meaning of BOTS.

Can someone explain me plz

I wonder how many times Blizzard will do this; wiping out the hackers. It just seems that over time less and less players are playing the game. Back in 1.09 if you wanted to trade an item, you could just go to the trade channel and get an offer in minutes for your item. Today there are like 7 Non-Bots in USEast Trading-1 during what used to be prime time playing. If you have anything to trade its like searching for a needle in a hay-stack trying to find a buyer. In 1.09 you could close your eyes and start clicking and find a Cow run game. Now people just can't find a baal run to save themselves. I checked the release date of Diablo II; June 30th 2000. Thats right, D2 is over 6 years old which is ancient for a video game. I've played it since the day it came out and I'm strongly considering not playing the next ladder. When Hellgate: London comes out I really don't expect to play D2 at all. The point I'm getting at is that this game may be dying out.

Edit: Bots is not abreveation, it is short for Robot. When a program controls a player, it is essentially a robot.
 
That's because those that returned are now in the chaosing stages, on their fresh accounts, with fresh characters.:laugh: It's kinda like they got their very own "special" reset. So fresh and clean their accounts are! No pesky clogged up mules and such.:wink3:
 
i recently started playing again and i gotta say compared to back then (i quit about 2 years ago or so) its kinda...u can say less populated...even less in hc

That's a really general generalization... :scratch:

I've been running my own baals, pretty much all ladder. So the bot thing hasn't really affected me. But I have noticed the lack of baal games on the list - hey that was what prompted me to look into the forums to begin with. I've been running my own runs recently, and have been whispered numerous times in the last couple days from tons of people about if I was baaling, if they could join up, and which run number I was on. :smiley:

I've friend who lvl'ed his tankazone to lvl95 hilmself with friends in private baalruns. I always told him how I respect his patience, coz my own highest char was lvl94 sorc. I did it just to test my patience and I'm telling you now NOMORECHARSOVERLVL90FORME!!!!!!!!!
 
Ya it sucks, most people can't run baal runs as well as a bot can. I actually joined a walk baal in hell yesterday, so many people died along the way it wasn't funny. Then there are the games you join where the runner has no clue what to do and dies over and over until they finally ask for help and then you see the room clear out quickly as if someone had the plague or something. If they do manage to get to the throne room they open a portal right in the middle of a pack of monsters so you can lose your days worth of experience points in one fell swoop, that's why i never enter first. Well maybe the people who know what they are doing will come along soon and start running baal runs again, if not then I await the eventual return of the bots.

Absolutely don’t agree. Lister pack alone can give you more exp than running pit in 8 pl game.

About drops its true. IMO javazone in CS runs can do better.
 
I can sooo hate baalrunning. Even hosted by bots. I mean, you just stand there in silence... tp pops up. You see the same warning over and over again. Then you just stand there. Because the only time you actually COULD do something, you dont need to, because the overpowered hammerdin kills everything in seconds.
