Are the realms down or is it me?

I've been having troubles with my internet since last night. my ping is normaly ~50 but last night it was around ~300 all night, and then today I couldn't get on the dii.net homepage just like you. Also my msn has been acting up something awfull. I figured it was just my ISP, but maybe not. Perhaps terrorists have attacked the internet!~~!

You just made me feel darn good. I just renewed my Palship after a few months lapse. To quote an old lyric, "It doesn't cost very much, and it lasts a long time."

hmm... well aside from being happy that I made Yogi happy! I'm upset because I have now recieved this error message as well.

I was happily sitting in the channel afk like I normally do (using Stealthbot) for chatting when I finished my homework and decided to play some. I disconnected the Channel Op program and turned on Diablo 2. It gave me a messages saying my modem wasn't working correctly or something along those lines. I reset my computer and tried again, it didn't help.

I tried the www.battle.net webpage and it work, so I spent a little while poking around there trying to find if there was any answers. Then I decided I would try to log onto the chat channel with Stealthbot again (since it was working fine before I disconnected.)

Naturally it also gives me an error now. It looks something like this.

[1:08:03 AM] [BNLS] Connecting...
[1:08:03 AM] [BNLS] Connected!
[1:08:03 AM] [BNLS] Authorized!
[1:08:03 AM] [BNET] Connecting...
[1:08:03 AM] [BNET] 11004 -- Valid name, no data record of requested type
[1:08:03 AM] [BNET] Disconnected.
[1:08:03 AM] All connections closed.
[1:08:03 AM] [BNET] Your computer is having DNS resolution issues. No more reconnection will occur. Please try connecting again in 15-30 minutes, or contact your Internet Service Provider.
[1:08:38 AM] All connections closed.

I am upset! I hurried to get my homework done so I could play!

Well, sorry for the double post, but I just found this, and it seems like it should have its own post. It was posted on the battle.net server status forums. I'm not sure of the time zone, but it appears it may have been posted only minutes ago.

"Customers of our Battle.net gaming service may be experiencing connectivity issues. We are working to resolve these matters as quickly as possible. If you are having difficulty connecting to our Battle.net services, we ask that you please be patient and try connecting again after a short period of time.

Thank you- The Battle.net Team"

Edit: After searching even further there are rumours that somene deleted about half of something to do with the DNS numbers, so you've got a 50/50 chance you will be using them? I don't really understand it to be honest, but you can check your bnetlog.txt file in your game directory and if it says:

"ERROR GetServersList: gethostbyname failed to get server list (11004)"

then you are the lucky winner of a free cold turkey style approach to curing your Diablo 2 addiction for an unknown amount of time!...

...I'm going to bed.

Yes, happening to me also.
Can login to USWest or Asia, but gets stuck on "Query Gateway" for USEast or Europe realms.

Can't connect to battlenet website either.

This is not good! Blizzard owes me 1 torch, 1 anni and 2 sojs now.
