Any bets on Pindle runs?

So I've caved in and decided to level my sorc to 94 doing only Pindle runs. It's a loooooong process. I'll be doing players /5 with 731 MF.

Any bets on whether I get a gosu elite unique first or....

level 94?

Note: I saw only 1 from 92 to 93 :whistling:

I'm about 45% of the way. 1 Elite unique so far, but definitely not a gosu....

nobody ever said it to me, and from level 91 to level 93 griffon was only good find (ss in softcore is under estimated) and couple of rbfs. you wont find much of him, but when he decides to drop something... (like every 200 runs) its well worth it.

I hate how is costantly teasing with rares...though today he dropped another elite unique a lot better than the first but still not gosu because it's findable from Meph...

A little over half way home...

btw the "trap" comment I made is the speech that plays when a sorc enters the portal with an unfinished Nihlithak quest =P

and FYI he cant drop 3 items which mephie can: arach tyrials and azulwrath :)

only reason why he IS better then mephie, is a MUCH better map lay out, = less teleporting to him XD

Ya I know, I have already been blessed with 2 Arachs and 1 Azurewrath. So after being bored with several hundred LK + Meph runs I decided to actually level. So I like to think of anything I find as a bonus.

Update:

Pindly must enjoy being slaughtered, he just gave me a +3 Blizzard Ormus (10% Cold unfortunately)...77% of the way there...

Mephisto can't drop Tyreals.

And the reason he is considered better than Mephisto is because he drops a hell of a lot of items that Mephisto won't. And since these items are rare, you will most likely see a lot of Mephistos' drop capabilities when you are running pits/AT/pindle.

After 5 days and something like 24 hours of Pindling (which I will think very carefully about ever doing again :scratchchin:), the results are in...

Actually, for 24 hours of pindle, I'd have expected a couple more tc87's

You'd have got a lot more benefit from dropping to 300-400 MF and running /p8 I reckon.

The diminishing returns come 400+ MF are extreme & the player difference means less chance of nodrop (and subsequently, more chances of everything - runes; uniques etc.)

Ya, I stack the MF though because I can't seem to get it through my head that Superuniques are stingy pricks and 750 MF would be much more useful on an act boss or raging through the flayer jungles. As for TC 87...here's what I can remember

0 Archon Staves
2-3 Berserker Axes (Rares)

1 Corona (Rare)
4 Diadems - all in the last 2 hours! (Magic, Rare, Rare, Set)

1-3 Glorious Axes (Rares)
0-1 Guardian Crowns
5+ Hydra Bows (all Rare my bowy is sad)
2-3 Legend Spikes (Rare)
2+ Myrmidon Greaves
3 Mythical Swords (BK remains the only set I have never completed)
2+ Ogre Guantlets
1 Sacred Armor (Rare on one of the very last runs)
3+ Scissors Suwayuh (Rares)

maybe you should do what i am doing lately, get as much survival gear as possible, and do hbaals, after 105 baalies i got:

Wizzy
StormLash
Eth HorrorFace
and a lot of other mid - high uniques.
5 unique rings (4 manalds, 1 lighting absorb ring, cant remember its name, 10/16)
1 hel
no hrs.

Average baal run was 3.40 mins.

Total mf on sorc was 24 from gheeds, how ever i believe because i had open quest, i had 500+ or something like that.

Let's put it this way:

An example p1 No Drop chance is 0.625
An example p3 No Drop chance is 0.2405
An example p8 No Drop chance is 0.02

Substantial difference.

400 MF: 153% Unique MF chance
700 MF: 184% Unique MF chance

In % gained terms taking into account the real gain compared to 0% MF, it's a measly 12%.

I think if I was ever going to straight MF a superunique I would just go /p1 for speed. I did this at /p5 because I wanted to gain a level and *hopefully* collect a few grailers on the way. Equipped with such a goal, I then added *stacked mf* into my sadistic agenda...

Also the problem with reducing gear is that my two main sources are over 100% mf and that makes it hard to do. Occy vs Dual Ist Baba and Ormus' vs Skullders.

What type of sorc, lit with infinity? I've been switching between 2 builds and I can't decide on which one. Lit with infinity or Meteor/Orb. Lit works great until I actually get to Baal, seems like he takes forever to kill as a Lit sorc. Meteor/Orb is awesome, but Lister and his friends can be trouble with my weaker Orb (no synergy/around 15 in CM), so I went max block and just try and static them down a little first.

To the OP, running Pindle with 700 life in HC? That's scary. I'd sacrifice some of that MF for survivability, I wouldn't really push anything over 4-500 MF, max. That's just me though.

you should change my mf to 30, new gheeds <3. And i did say that i got quest open? so i got way more then 300 mf for sure.

My Gear:

Head: Griffon (self found) 15/12 (after jool 20/15, yeah perfect roll -.-" )
Amulet: Mara 24
Shield: Storm Shield with pdiamond
Armour: Vipers 50res upped 1k+ defence
Belt: thundergod's vigor 198 ed
Boots: Hotspurs double up...
Gloves: Trang Oul
Weapon: Hoto 31 in eth flail
Rings: Kick *** rare self found <3 ( i can post stats if you want to)

Inventory has 1skiller 1anni and 1 sorc torch, my damage is 20k+

Merc:

Head: Tal-Rasha head, no sockets
Armor: Fortitude 29** defense 30 res 1.25 life
Weapon: Infinity CA 3** ed

I do not have problems killing anything in p8 condition, baal takes 30 seconds tops if everybody doing nothing.

/edit: I am always running with my Bo Barb level 41 BO, life for sorc is about 3k, 11k after shout 13k after frozen armour 18k after merc gets his aura up, 1k mana.

Merc has maxed res and some what over stack, 5k life 44k defense after aura + chilling armor.

Hohoho if this was HC my deeds would've been remembered long ago. And I would've never found my Chammy Cham. BTW Doom or Pride?
