An end to insanity: Ayla is 99

Congrats on the level 99; with any luck, I'll be joining you by the end of summer. If your rune-drops were underwhelming, I guess it's my fault for stealing your good karma by finding Jah, Ber, and Lo with ~3000 runs still left to go (although only the Ber was from Baal himself). Just for the sake of curiousity, how long did each run take you on average?

As for run times, hard to say, anywhere from 3 - 4 1/2 minutes depending on what spawned in the throne. In the end, if there were any vampire boss packs in the throne I'd save and exit as it was quicker.

I just started my first ever Blizzard sorc not too long ago. I doubt she'll ever see level 99, though.

A truly amazing feat :thumbsup: . And congrats on the rune finds as well, I'd be curious as to what use you will put them to. You've inspired me to dust off my pure cold Blizzard sorc, and give a shot at running Baal (not to reach 99, that's just crazy talk :jig: ). But it will have to wait until I finish my current project...wow, i just remembered how much i love this game lol.

Congrats on 99. Big achievement there, maybe I'll find the right melee character to attempt the feat with someday.

Congrats, that's awesome. I'm thinking I may make an attempt at 99 as well seeing as I'll have upwards of 10 hours a day to play come summer...
I must ask: did you take all the minion packs and Baal himself at /p8? Or just Lister+Baal?
I'm running with a Blizzard/Fireball and unless I drop to P1 for Achmel (P8 for rest/P1 Baal -- will do P8 when I hit 95 or 96) it takes too long to kill the mages with Fireball. I imagine it is the same with CE. How did you juggle players settings -- for Throne, and each minion wave, and Baal himself?

Darkchaos: I hope your in for some irc reports from baal this summer other way im going for 99 aswell no more WoW in top 5 guild world wide and with the last instance finished in wow i have nothing more there to do, just alot of free time for d2, meh about your little 10h playtime =)

7000 runs @ 4 mins each = 28,000 total minutes played.
28,000 divided by 60 minutes = 467 hours of play time.
467 divided by 10 hours per day = 47 day of straight playing.
And thats just from 98 to level 99.
Its an ambitious goal, hopefully you're up for it!
