Age of Conan

So is anyone else planning on picking up this game? The release date is may 20th. It's another mmo(Yes... sigh), but it looks very intersting. I have been following it for about 8 months and have it pre-ordered and what not. Anyways if anyone is planning on playing just let me know so we can get on the same server and what not!

Maybe I'll look into it if it's free to play, but this summer and next year is gonna kill me for busy-ness so doubt you'll see much of me.

We should make sure we get on the same server. What class are you looking at? I'm actually torn between Dark Templar and Barbarian at the moment.

I know several people getting into this, btu I am personally looking for more info before I decide. A monthly fee detours me up front anyway, but I do not want to get into another lvl/item grinder to be able to compete. I love the seige stuff, but my past exp at games like this in the time it takes to be able to compete just sucks.

I agree, from everything I heard it looks pretty well done, but I can come back after I experience it after the game is released and give a report.

Women all over are in trouble though... now I have no reason to leave my chair because there are nekkid womanz in teh game.

Personally I haven't looked into it and will wait on word of mouth. I have no interest, as Stinger said, in having another WoW instead of Daoc. I have much the same issue with Warhammer online, in that until some one tells me it's awesome and I play a demo, they aren't getting a red cent.

I spent MONTHS on a private, drop rate/exp/gold accelerated server trying to get to max lvl and gear to compete and never made it, and I play 40+ hrs a week. I hear the newer ones are better, but seeing as how I am also looking at GW2 I am not sur eI want to put in months at this one and then have to choose to leave it.

I'm with you on this one. Having competed at the top level (1st to 4th in the guild ladder, 4th place in the GW championships) I'm definately going to want to see what GW2 is all about, and if they manage to maintain the best team pvp in any "rpg" to date.

edit: well, that was the one that took part to the GWC. We were pretty spread out and assorted, had 3 of our guilds hover in or near the top 10 and we zig-zagged our players a lot =p

edit2: And we "invented" the obsidian flame spike! :P Think we were under the name "Mul on mese" or something at the time. It worked nicely until people realized it relies on the mesmer too much :p

Um.....Ob Spike was used/nerfed used again/nerfed and used again/nerfed long before the game went live and was used in testing a great deal even after all those adjustments, but as we all know all spike builds especially caster spikes are very counterable. Sure they get wins, but in the end they rarely beat the best teams and/or those prepared for it.

Lamers Ultimate Majority, yes indeed was an exceptional guild, went against you a few times, but we were not Top 10-20 calibur.

It was way overdone in public.

Im buying age of conan from ebgames the so on the 14th of may...it will be downloaded, and I will start playing may 17th.

Me and my pvp guild on mug'thol world of warcraft already have a pretty huge guild set and ready to go.
