Act 2 Defiance Merc Aura Boooosted

Aura merc levels can be boosted using items. So I managed to get as much + Level items for my merc as I can. Here is the result...

Act 2 Defiance Normal Merc Lvl 89

Andy's Visage ----> +2 Levels
Ethereal Arioc's Needle ----> +4 Levels
Arkaine's Valor ----> +2 Levels

total of +8 Levels for a merc...

And the results are that you MUST try that.
The Armor bonus gained through merc items is insane.

i like it, i knew that a time ago, i`m using it as much as i can, and btw, i think that these +skills give some extra things when he is attacking, there was a list with all these depending on +levels here somewhere but i can't find it, or was it only for rogues, i`m not sure

For some char builds, it gets even better: I'm playing Skelemancers, and they are using Might mercs. Adding +skills to their aura boosts the damage of about half my army... so it's almost like adding these +skills to my char :-)
 
Cheaper routes to + skill gear on mercs

I just wanted to let the financially challenged player know that there are a couple of cheap options to pumping the act 2 mercs skills.

For armor, you can use Griswolds. It has +2 defense skills and 3 sockets.
For helms I like to use +3 defensive skill circlets.

You can boost the skill any merc is using if you get + skill items from the tree that skill is under, i.e defensive + skill items will boost the mercs defiance aura. You could give a might merc a +3 offensive skills circlet and squeak out a bit more damage.

As I said in the other thread, in 1.10 only +all skills boost the Slvls of mercenary skills.
