Gul, Gul, Ist

Got a break from all the Vex runes, but in the wrong direction. Still quite happy since I went ~1000 LK and ~350 Travincal runs without a Mal+. Today I got Ist and Gul in 2 consecutive runs. I have never done so much LK runs without seeing at the very least 2 Surs (A rough estimate would be 2.5-3k done so far).

Trav has still given me zero rune luck, but skill charms are something else entirely:

Yesterday (Necro skillers seemed to be the thing):
Code:
Hexing Grand Charm of Sustenance
Grand Charm
Required Level: 42
Fingerprint: 0xa0180424
Item Level: 85
Version: Expansion 1.10+
+1 to Curses (Necromancer only)
+25 to Life

Fungal Grand Charm of Inertia
Grand Charm
Required Level: 42
Fingerprint: 0x48416b6a
Item Level: 85
Version: Expansion 1.10+
+1 to Poison and Bone Skills (Necromancer Only)
+7% Faster Run/Walk

Today:
Code:
Entrapping Grand Charm of Sustenance
Grand Charm
Required Level: 53
Fingerprint: 0x57b0356
Item Level: 85
Version: Expansion 1.10+
Unidentified
+1 to Trap Skills (Assassin Only)
+35 to Life

That awkward moment when you just need some Tal runes and LK keeps throwing rare runes at you.

Btw today I made this:
Code:
Enigma
Dusk Shroud
JahIthBer
Defense: 1219
Durability: 20 of 20
Required Level: 65
Required Strength: 77
Fingerprint: 0x2197b919
Item Level: 79
Version: Expansion 1.10+
+2 to All Skills
+45% Faster Run/Walk
+1 to Teleport
+765 Defense
+69 to Strength (Based on Character Level)
Increase Maximum Life 5%
Damage Reduced by 8%
+14 Life after each Kill
15% Damage Taken Goes To Mana
93% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items (Based on Character Level)
3 Sockets (3 used)
Socketed: Jah Rune
Socketed: Ith Rune
Socketed: Ber Rune

I've spent a few hours hitting a Dusk Shroud rack in LK, after several failed attempts I settle with a 3os 454def armor I socketed through cube formula. I make Enigma, and the very next run the rack drops a 464 3os. Why does it always have to be so painful? Anyway this armor will help immensely no matter the def :)

finally, a useful rune from council

Ist Rune
Can be Inserted into Socketed Items

Weapons: 30% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items
Helms: 25% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items
Armor: 25% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items
Shields: 25% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items

Required Level: 51
Item Version: Expansion

But what do I put it in? gull? wish for a second one and put both in a blade of ali baba? Have a second look at the terrible runewords available in 1.07? milabrega's shield? (lol)

Finished one of my not-so-new projects (wanted to say older, but i have way older projects that need finishing). AT running sorc finished 2K runs on p1. According to GoMule she has 454 MF.

Most of the stuff she found (the neat ones anyway) have probably been posted already, but i wanted to give people a short overview of what i found and didn't want to start a whole new thread for it.

Please give a fast gear summary. I'm decking out a runner myself too and can't figure out a good balance. Maybe because it's 10pm, after a long working day. :P

Also what's considered a good AT map? How many bosspacks can be achieved?

If you're really curious here's a thread with some discussion on that subject (I'm sure there's other out there as well.) If you're only passingly interested: 9 bosspacks is max, not counting monster shrines, though it seems some maps never exceed 8 and 9 is always fairly rare; 4 bosspacks is minimum, which includes the guaranteed pack at the chest; a good map will have ~5.5packs average or so and runtimes should be no longer than 8 seconds per pack but faster is better clearly - competing with the good Pit zerker barbs would require sub 6-second/pack runs. To my knowledge 6.05 average packs is the highest recorded, but anything above ~5.8 is amazingly good.

@Jocular: Personally I found Frost Nova and Glacial Spike roughly equal for AT running: each quite fun but much less efficient than Blizzard. I know bcoe used his full Tal's FN sorc for AT runs, which is probably the best bet for bridging the difference there, at least considering how anemic I remember my Fathom/Griffon's Frost Nova/Nova sorc's MF being.

Highest recorded bosspack count for AT map as far as I know is my AT map with 6.13 bosses average on 300 runs done for SPF hall of records thread with 620 bosses being the top in 100 runs sample so far. But yes, 5.5+ is good map in general for AT. Could be godly if it's small too (even with 5.2 bosspacks or whatever since you can run it in sub 30 secs then).

I believe I've read that monster shrines do not boost the unique monster's level, and hence ilvl would be at 85 I guess for alvl 85 areas

My character has the exact same gear as your's had, the Oculus socket even has a 15 allres jewel in it. I dont use CTA, because it's a waste of time and annoying to me on a fast run like this.
My map has mostly 6 bosspacks, sometimes 7 or 8 (rarely), and sometimes 5. I guess my average bosspack density is good, and I should start measuring the time to do a run to see how much efficient I am. :)
