Them's some mighty purdy finds, pardner!!! Vantek and Gorgrims both!

I've been farming that armor rack in NM that's dropping Gilded Shields. Sooner or later, either that rack or Mephy himself is gonna give me a HoZ for the hammerdin I'm building. :smile: It's starting to get mighty boring though, so in between runs I'm dinking aruond with the hammerdin.

No exciting drops lately... though I did just get the "other half" of that 40% ED jewel I found the other day... a 15% IAS jewel.... heheh... :rolleyes:

:grin: hah, good drop there :) isn't that abit ironic, looking for ages at a rack for zaka, then a chest gives you something instead... :)

I havnt gotten serious with new characters yet, hmm... think im giving amazon a try even though i wasn't planning to at first ;p

Yeah, odd how stuff happens like that!

Amazons are fun... I've played a WWS Strafer and a couple of Lightning Fury javazons... both were really fun. Were you thinking bow or javalins?

intially Java, found some neat stuff.. 2x Raven over 220, highlords... :)

but i really want a bow zon once i've found a decent bow...

congratulations on that. :) must've taken quite abit of time? :)

i'm cow running hell @ players 8 with alot of Static field / glacial spike and blizzard spam.... :) Finds were alittle slow, charms were okay, and today i found a Unique crusader bow. Decent but not quite a WF yet :P

It took about 300 runs to get that shield... :shocked: Considering the odds of a rack dropping a unique, that's actually not too bad, methinks.

Hunting for a WF? I've never had one... I've heard Pindleskin is the man for that particular drop....

Forgot to mention before about an Io off of Meph, and another from the Countess. Since then, I have found these off of Meph:

My MF is very close to 300% :) I think this is the very optimum. I think I'm actually putting the Snowclash back on, because on a perfect map the increased killing speed might be just worth losing 30% MF from the Goldwrap.

While doing a bit of Countess I found a 4-socket superior flail (only missing that Pul now... :) and Countess finally gave my my first-ever Dol ^^

EDIT: Oh, a Baranar's Star and a second Windhammer, if they make a difference :P

EDIT 2 (phew ^^): Titan's! I assume they are always ethereal?

Heh... Countess just gave me a Pul, and then a Lum on the next run. Now it'll be El and Elds for another 40 runs. :rolleyes: I need a Vex for a future HotO.

Nice useful finds! That Verdungo's is a great belt.

I went back to hell once my NM armor rack paid out the jackpot, and rolled excellent maps for Countess (Tower is about 15 feet from WP), Andy and Meph.
For the time being I've just been running Countess and Pindleskin... Countess for more mid-runes, and Pindleskin for the small chance of something really juicy (Pindle is where I got my Tal armor on BNET). A bonus is that the armor rack by Countess seems to drop Blood Spirit helms and Crusader Gauntlets very frequently. There's some potnetial for a good drop there!
My new LK map only has one set of huts, but the rest of my maps are too good to reroll.

In the meantime, Spammydin salughtered everything in Act 3 at /p 7 with no trouble. Today I'll take him on through act 4 and 5. 11 more levels and he can wear the HoZ! I'm hoping to find him a Wizard Spike, or maybe even someday make him a HotO. Until then I'll probably just make a Spirit sword...

Today, I decided to start running Pindle instead for a while. Wanna have a shot at Tal's armour as well as the other jackpots. Since I was already in Kurast, I whacked Meph first, got yellow junk. So to Harrogath I go. I'm in the routine the second I resurrect my merc and put Zephyr on switch, I do what I've done perhaps a hundred times and my memory records nothing until the drop. The drop itself, however, brings me out of my trance - there's something green. Oh, an amulet. Yep, you know what I'm thinking - another Tancred's, cool. Nevertheless, as usual, pop the inventory, push the tome, whistle-whistle clickety-click...

Today is such a nice day. Got an exam postponed about a week (to EXACTLY where I would've liked it to be) :D I love the world.

I was delighted to find out that Titan's in fact aren't ethereal by default, which adds some groove to my stack, even if it's not that great a difference efficiency-wise. Also I appear to have found a funky Skull Collector staff since last post.

Grats on the Ammy and Tomb Reaver! :thumbsup: That's some good stuff!

Mephy was kind enough to give me a Wizard Spike last night, so my hammerdin-in-progress is going to be well outfitted... HoZ, Wizzy, Vipermagi (hope to up this once I get a Ko), a skiller, etc. Should be pretty nice. He just entered NM last night, so after doing some MF runs with Sparkles first, I'll probably buzzsaw my way through Act 1 with Spammydin.

WOHAAA! :shocked: The probability for that ammy drop was about 1:37 000!!! I suppose I won't be seeing anything other than Isenheart's for the next thousand runs! :laugh:

what an awesome amulet, guess im the only one without one :) Found 2 Highlord's wraths now though, :laugh: and one, was off a Chest in LK :D


Also, a corpse dropped me a Pul rune, and abit later, a java skiller :D my ama is happy bout that.

anyhow, nothing over Fal yet from superchests :embarassed:

Edit: is that a Titan's u ahve there? :D i've found none yet. Also looking for a vipermagic, since i havent gotten any.

Hmmm... my best LK chest rune has been Sol. I have gotten a couple of skillers out of LK stashes/corpses. Last night a corpse gave me a Crescent Moon ammy, which is a pretty nice ammy for bowazon.

I was majorly surprised when my Tal's ammy dropped. On BNET it took me about 6 months to find one. I had actually found the armor BEFORE the ammy!

They're handy in that they've got huge poison res, which can make up for a weak spot in a build, but their main attraction is that they have the self-repair mod, so if they spawn ethereal, you get big defense and lowered requirements, without any worries of them breaking. They've also got +vitality, which equates to some extra life, but there are better options. Waterwalk, for example, has a healthy bonus to life, and since it's +life instead of +vit, it will scale with +life% effects (Battle Orders, Oak Sage, Chromatic Ire, etc).

So yeah, they're rather overrated boots in most cases, kinda like Verdungo's Hearty Cord is, in my opinion, a much overrated belt. Some %DR, +vit, and a small amount of FHR? I'll take respectable life leech, good MDR, and equal %DR from String of Ears, thank you very much, save my stat points, and wear it 34 levels earlier.

amulets are rare :) granted you don't run bosses all the time. My hammerdin found 4 Tal's armours in the time it took to find about 25 Green amulets, sadly though, only one was tals :D
