75% resists enough for Baal teleing?

75% resists enough for Baal teleing?

So far I was using Guardian Angel to get 90% resist all and 75% block and teleing to Baal was very safe.However,I am planning on switching to Viper for the fcr and skill.My question is would I be safe with 75% resists instead of 90%?I will make up for the lost block by wearing two Ravens so the question only comes up to resists.Thanks in advance.
 
75% Res all is enough to teleport to Baal, even in HC. You don't even need those 2 ravens, 1 would be enough to cover any cold damage. Might look into using Tgods aswell if beating the elements is important to you. Anyways, In addition to fcr the viper gives more resist, so it's that much easier to actually get maxed resistance. Besides, if you're a Baal teleporter, fcr is VERY important if you plan to stay alive on the trip down. High fast cast = low chance for monster to hit while teleporting.
 
Thanks for answer.The Viper,however,won't make me any faster because I already have 105fcr with wizzy,arach,grifon's,TO gloves.But another question arises.I may decide to switch Storm for 35fcr Spirit which with Viper and rings will reach the 200fcr breakpoint.Do you think not using Storm is worht the extra speed?And is 200fcr all that good?Thanks again.

FHR/FBR is important too. :)

I don't think you need 200FCR on any sorc besides a nova sorc. :P
 
Well, I don't think the gain in speed is worth the loss in DR and blocking (if you went the block route). But then again I've never made a 200 fcr sorc so I would not know.
 
but remember, if the monsters cannot reach you, they cant hit you.
I used to teleport all way with a sorc having 75 all res, 800 life and like 50% block. I had no problems, only because of the high cast rate, which wasnt at 200...
If you dont run out of mana, there should be no problem. the monsters will not have the time to turn their heads and hit you before you teleport to the next spot.
Souls missed every single attack, so did the other melee monsters. only thing that really did hit me every single time was those flayers shooting swarms of arrows, but hey, they dont hurt! :clap:

ok, i must admit. if i teleport into a bunch of moon lords, im probably wasted, but thats quite normal. higher block doesnt help you out very much there, does it?
 
The only thing that gets my 75 res sorc is a dense pack of souls... and thats only because I lack FHR for now.. soon I will fix that and will be unstoppable!

Right, the only thing that can kill you with 75% allres is a bosspack of souls. Sometimes not even 105% fcr makes you escape those. Otherwise you are just fine. The only remedy against those souls would be weraing Thundergods Vigor, though i must say, doing baalruns has no thrill anymore then. You can stand in the middle of Black Souls mayhem and just twiddle your thumb with 85% lightnning res and 20 lightning absorb. Kind of makes it VERY easy.
 
90, not even 75 resists are needed tbh. i had my HC blizsorc with resists around 50, fcr ONLY hitting the 63 (whatever) bp make it to lvl 94 (before i intentionally suicided her) with only a few close calls. its the way you tele. though should i mention the close calls were with souls... :xgrin:

Fhr / Fbr both EXTREMELY very important. :xflash:

Achieved 205 fcr on my 1.10 nova sorc. Still sucks hell. :xman:

Hahaha, I'm working on a 200FCR sorc right now...
they are effective, but not required at all for something like teleing...
seems like so much to me for such a simple task.

Getting 200 fcr so easy now for all chars...

20 - spider
10 - ring
10 - ring
35 - spirit
40 - hoto
30 - 08 valk
20 - ammy
50 - wizzy glove

215 - total

Edit : Oh wait that's right ppl don't like to use bug items... okay sub wizzy spike for hoto and take out the glove and put like trangs. Then you always got fortitude armor / fcr circlets to fill in the extra 5% gap.

Hehe,melianor,that's funny :lol:.I will try that.Teleport to a pack of souls and then go take a shower and come back to finish the run.
Btw,Thundergods>Wisp projector for souls?
 
I like wisps more... but Tgods work well too... have the 40% absorb I find is easy though, and has never failed me... just keep both :) no problems there...


And Dennis, I play ladder, so no Valk... and I am remaking my sorc... cause my old one didn't have the str to use a monarch... what a shame... its ok though, because now I'm working in ES, which will be interesting :scratch:

If u lack FHR use a storm. I know its 156 strenght but it returns vita and mana and 2 skills(****ing great :xsmile4: right ) and 55 fhr and 35 fcr. i love it have 145 base strenght and wt and shako bring me all the way home . Best shield if u neeed fhr gl
