so, any1 wondering what the hell khaoslbc meant by beowulf? Or are you all presuming he's just another dude tossing out another detour?

Couldn't sleep, so I decided to do some testing. The results can be found on both rune mules in the West communal acct.

All gemmed.

Hammer:Dol + Eth, Amn + Eld
Armor: Lem + Io
Swords:Shael + Hel, Hel + Ith
Scepter: Fal + Lum
Clubs: Eth + Ral, Ith + Ral
Axe: Ith + Hel
Mace: Amn + Shael
Orbs: Hel + Eth, Hel + Ith, Hel + Tal, Tal + Shael, Ko + El, Amn + Hel, Amn + Shael, Ko + Io, Ko + Lem, Eth + Shael

I believe we are all curious as to whether he can back this up, but there is nothing to be said that hasn't already been said in the post immediately following it. Therefore I elected not to waste space by repeating the same stuff, and assume most of the others did as well.
 
The first step to getting mules to A5N is getting them into A2N so as to be able to join Durimule games without having to create two games for rushing, so I'm up for Andy rushing as many times as people have mules they want in A2N. The mules must create the games, but other than that by the end of the night you should have every mule on all your accounts in A2N.

I'm starting this tonight so whisper me on *New2TheGame4 if you're interested, just do it soon as I'll be hunting for grand rerollers in A3NM for everyone here. That's right, I'm starting to donate rerollable grands for skillers to everyone in the list that wants them, you must provide the gems, though. Assuming you come up with a few good ones the rest of us can replace the plains we have and trade them for runes. It'd be a shame to let you trade a paladin combat skiller with huge life when I could make best use of it, so when you strike gold list it in this thread and we'll swap.
 
true but i believe you cant get that huge of life from a charm from a3nm. i used to roll nm council gcs. i would get skillers a lot and those with life were close to or under 20. im goin for the big ones (gc from hell act bosses) i rolled a fire skill gc with 38 life the other day :D i sure wish it was a cold skill gc though, because in the trade channels for hc, they say cold gc with close to 40 life = ber alone

I'm currently wearing a rerolled Lion Branded Grand Charm of Sustenance (25 life) that's still at L42, and as the theory goes it takes two mules full of perfect gems to roll three skillers at that level. With more prefixes available for rolling the odds of getting one at all are greatly reduced, and then with all the additional suffixes getting one with that high life is astronomical. I'd rather trade a bunch for UM+ then get a great charm or just use the runes.

Again, BERs would be ideal for runewords, but not necessarily testing for new ones. I'd rather trade a plain skiller for 40 RALs and use them for crafting/testing.

There's still that SolLumBer / SolUmBer idea that seemed very attractive (for Dream, in helm).
 
Failed:

EL+ETH=targe
ELD+NEF=crown shield
EL+ELD=fanged helm
EL+ETH=falcon mask

Two more *+*+TIR helm tests for a total of 25 at or below AMN+AMN. I'm unable to add pages or any other sort of major changes to Wathombe's spreadsheet without OO screwing up saving in Excel format, so I either save in OO format or make no changes. I've opted for the latter to keep compatibility with anyone else keeping track.
 
i don't believe there to be any relation between World of Warcraft content and any of the new runewords.

also duely noted: the only consistency in World of Warcraft seems to be how the servers are down daily
 
Failed:

THUL+ORT=kris
ORT+THUL=kris
THUL+THUL=gargoyle head
EL+ETH=jawbone cap
EL+ELD=falcon mask

SocketCrap is now under 12 runes again, however it has about 30 crafting jewels, so anyone needing them is welcome to their use. As promised, advice as to what runes to cube:

EL: although needed for *+EL+* melee weapons testing, it is still the most common rune dropped and shouldn't slow down testing if upgraded to ELD. Cube.
ELD: the 'hard' vowel choice is rarely used in runewords, so we should have just as many of them as ELs for testing. Cube once ELD+ELD is reached in all 2OS grids.
TIR: I advise not cubing these as we have two *+*+TIR grids going, one for helms and one for armors. Testing comes to a standstill without them.
NEF: unless you can find someone to take these 80 NEFs off of my hands and prove there's still a demand for them afterwards, I say cube once we hit NEF+NEF in all 2OS grids.
ETH: no grids for this rune, cube once ETH+ETH is reached in all 2OS.
ITH: same as above, unless you believe they're harder to get than TALs.
TAL: these runes are desired for armor upgrades and sometimes in large numbers due to armors with enhanced defense not always gaining the maximum base defense when upgraded. People, such as I, upgrade somesuch armor any time we find it. With me, it's something like Rattlecage for my Thorned Conformist. Don't cube.
RAL: do not cube. I would like RALs in truckloads as I still have plenty of amethysts to craft with my soon-to-be-L95 hammerdin. That, and upgrading weapons and testing ARDENT makes cubing RALs a big no-no.
ORT: lowest 'O' in runewords, but only if THULs, AMNs or SOLs are highly desired should they be cubed when ORT+ORT is reached.
THUL: less used than TIR and TAL in runewords, but those it is use in are nice. They can be gotten easy, though. Cube after THUL+THUL.
AMN: desired for leech and low-level dueling. Only cube if you really need SOLs and only after AMN+AMN.
SOL: never cube. 'S' is a popular letter in runewords and blood rings are popular crafts. Add to that weapon upgrading and that's enough said.
SHAEL: Necessary with TAL for armor upgrades, for weapons in socketing and just behind SOL in runeword testing for 'S' due to the SHAEL+*+* in swords, don't upgrade.

Everything beyond that is depends on what is highly prized by our testers. Let me know your thoughts on these.

On another subject, along with GuyGuy I found a sorc cold skiller in cows today. Though it's L63 due to the +4 max dam suffix, it's free to a good home to one of our blizzard or forb sorcs (Cher0kee or Frenology, if I recall correctly). Just keep me in mind when you find a skiller I might like.
 
the spreadsheet is 9days old, do i need to go back thru all the threads to see what i should test? or is it not really that old, the date is just wrong?
