23 Runeword Search Thread

Tonight's testing:

Cudgel: Tir,Nef
Mace: Eth,Tir
NecroHead: Nef,Thul
Helm: Tir,Nef
Staff: Eld,Ort
Bow: Eld,Dol
Axe: Nef,Ort
Sword: Thul,Amn
Claw: Ral,Eth
Claw: Anm,Ral
one more test:
NecroHead: Ith,Tir

I'm looking for a 4 socket mace and 4 socket bow. I have runes for RAIN and STAR, but cannot find the items :(

Remlin: Cows are the best place for this. Maybe try to catch Ghist or one of the other cow runners at the end of a session to see what they find (have you been running cows with them?).

First post here, although I've been lurking for a while. *waves at everyone* :p

Results of some quick tests:

Claw: Tal Amn
Polearm: Nef Ith
Club: Ral Ith
Sword: Amn Thul
Axe: Amn Ort

And since I had so many of these two runes left over: Eth Tir Tir in a polearm.

All gemmed, of course.

Wathombe: I still have those other runes for you, if you can catch me online. I'll probably be able to test them myself eventually, but I think it might be faster if I let you manage them ;)

Also, I'm happy to help out with cow runs on west SCL. I have a bunch of chars who can open the portal, and my new javazon does pretty well at clearing it out. My accounts are *freek and *vuhipt - I play rather odd hours but shouldn't be too hard to find.

I only got 6 votes for people who wanted me to create those .xml files (excel spreadsheets). I would still be willing to do them but I want 25 votes on the poll thread I made (go back and post in it if you want it bumped).

Otherwise I don't believe it's worth the effort of making the spreadsheets if there's not enough interest for at least 25 people who are at least commited to test 3-socket runewords off-and-on, but I think it'd be great if there were. Otherwise I will continue at least for myself to test the 2-socket stuff as I have been doing when I get the time (not that I have alot of time). But ya I'm still here don't worry.

If so, thank you thank you thank you. Ask Cheetah, I scrambled to restructure my resists, and am now wearing all proudly.

I tested about half of the 100+ runes donated by a friend of spork's, whom I'm fairly sure was y2kbug
i think that was me...i donated like 1.25 mules worth of runes last night

working on a trap assy right now to help cow...should be done in 3 more days or so...lvl 4 woot

status on runes: have about 30 right now...im out of town saturday so on sunday ill hook u guys up

wathombe what is your account? I would like to donate all my runes. Most are in the Ral through Shael area but I think there is an Um as well. Find something good :)
 
Correction needed on the spreadsheet under sorc Orbs.

I tested EldNef and EldEth -- neither is showing as tested.

I did not test ElNef, don't think anyone else did either, but that is now showing as being tested. ElEth was previously tested.

Actually, there is no difference for our testing purposes.

When you put runes into an item, the game displays it as "gemmed item" (it is "socketed item" before you put the runes). Since we are looking for runewords, gemmed obviously means failed, that's all.
 
So what's the scoop on the east cows? My hammerdin is up to lvl 75. I'm getting ready to muddle my way through the maggot lair (it really sucks going from 3k damager per hammer to under 1k melee) - but depending on timing I'd be willing to jump in some cow games if available. Account is '*dansls1'. In addition I've got my stash on my sorc. almost full of runes I'd be willing to let somebody interested do testing with while I'm concentrating on playing. Oh, and for the impalazon idea, I happen to have 2 passive / magic skill charms on my zon mule that I may never use...

(man trading for bulk Dol Runes is hard :( )
anyways, cool thing. on my 2nd countess run, i found a +1 poison and bone gc with 22 life! sold it for ist+ a lot of other things for my zon hehe
