1.11 SPF HC Ladder

Welcome to the first 1.11 SPF HC Ladder thread. The 1.11 Ladder website is www.spfladder.com. Please check that site for the most updated rules.

If you want to participate in this ladder, read the rules and post your character's info in this thread.

Here are the rules for the 1.11 SPF HC Ladder:
  1. Characters must be Hardcore characters.
  2. You may not resurrect a dead player, no matter what caused the death.
  3. You will play with honor, and will not use ESC when facing certain death.
  4. Looting in MP games is allowed, though self-looting by using ATMA is absolutely prohibited. Once the char is dead, those items are lost.
  5. The RTB 1.11 RWM may be used. Characters using this mod (or non-mod users who trade or MP with the mod users) must indicate their status as RWM users. This is the only mod allowed for ladder play.
  6. All ladder characters must have been started in 1.11.
  7. Ladder characters can only play with other ladder chars, and trade/use items that were found by ladders chars only, with the exception in the next rule.
  8. Ladder characters may participate in PvP games where no questing or exp is being gained, and no items are taken from the game.
  9. Partied players in MP games must be within 10 levels and 1 Act of each other. (The level limit does not apply if the partied characters in the MP game have all beat hell difficulty.)
  10. You can play solely SP, solely MP or both.
  11. There are no time restrictions, and no "seasons", so you can play at your own pace.
  12. You may create and play as many chars as you wish.
  13. You can mule and twink your chars as you wish, though only with items found by you, or other ladder chars.
  14. You may use whichever players settings, as well as complete or skip any quests that you like
  15. Trading will be done in the trade forum. Your post title should indicate the type of trade.
    • [HCL1.11] = Hardcore Ladder
    • [HCL1.11R] = Hardcore Ladder (using RWM or has traded with 1.11HCL-RWM players.)
  16. PK'ing of any kind is strictly-prohibited, and by using such tactics, you will get yourself permanently banned from the ladder.
  17. New players wishing to join the ladder who already have a previously created character must be created after August 1, 2005, meet all the rules in this laddder and not exceed character level 50. Characters over level 50 may be added to the ladder if they get approval of 3 active ladder participants. (Active participants are those who have updated their characters in the last 2 months.) The ladder administrator has the final say on late additions, however.
  18. Note that you can be in a tournament with your character as well as in this ladder provided that you use this set of rules. However you may use a stricter set of rules as long as none of it contradict with the SPF 1.11 ladder rules (eg. Septivarate).

hi,

I'm new to the SPF ladder and would like to join the HC ladder

My char is a lvl 23 sorceress IcyManipulator in act III Great Marsh (meteorb)
I'm not using any mods

If I've ruined this I apologize. My 2nd or 3rd attempt. BTW, my characters are nekkid. Does that warrant 30 lvl handicap :p

BTW The name was chosen in haste to join some friends for some untwinked 1.11 HC play. Would there be any objection to using atma to renamer her once I can think of somthing fitting?

Also one thing missing from the table is Forum member's name... I'd add it, but I've already fixed everything else :P

I was thinking that everyone would just post their own table with their own characters like people did in the 1.10 thread, so that's my my original didn't have my forum name. I will try to get the manual version of the ladder up on the website this weekend, but if people want to add the forum name to the table and keep updating the whole thing in this thread, that's fine too. :)
 
FFS I shoule pay more attention then eh :D

Anyways SPL HC should be much smaller than any other list.... Oh well just play it by ear I guess :P

What exactly is Ladder play? Is it some sort of contest? If so, how are the players ranked? I'm confused here.

It's for people who want to start over with a new economy in 1.11. So, all of the characters and items are purely 1.11. (Nothing taken from earlier versions.) There is some friendly compitition to get to the highest level mixed in as well. It is someone like a Battle.net ladder season, although our playstyle varies slightly from B.net. :)

So, if you want to start over fresh in 1.11 and have a community to trade/MP with that are following a common set of rules, start up a character and join us. (There is also a SC ladder as well, the only difference is HC vs. SC characters.)

You might want to hunt down the 1.10 Ladder thread to get a better idea of what the ladder is about. The website for the 1.10 ladder is here:

The 1.11 website isn't nearly as fancy, but I've got my php and MySQL books in the mail, so hopefully I can get it caught up with the 1.10 website in the next couple of months.
 
I've been putting off joining this or saying anything since I cant start putting in good time until September 1st... but I cant help it. I'm a hardcore junkie.

- Scossa, the Tesladin, level 1, using the RWM.

I expect him to quickly become the highest paladin on the ladder once I get back to a D2 comp =)
 
I've been working on the website, and it I've been trying to figure out the best way to do things. I've realized that manually updating a table for the ladder will probably drive me insane. (I do still actually need time to play. :D ) So, the best solution is to get an updating feature up running pronto. The problem is I've got a learning curve to contend with. I won't know until I dive in how hard it will be (and therefor how long it will take.) What this means is that I won't be putting up the actual ladder on the website for a while.

For the time being then, let's keep the actual ladder in the thread. Thanks for being patient!

Here are the instructions for updating your characters and dealing with the code tags.

Note: "Tags" are instructions to the forum board on how to format your text. The surround the text they are supposed to format. [tag]Here is what I am formatting.[/tag] The "code" tag uses a monospace font and allows you to use spaces to line up columns of text.

(1) Reply to the last person whose post contains the ladder table.
(2) Remove the "quote" tags. [highlight]Important! [/highlight] If you don't do this, the next person will not be able to use your post to update the table.
(3) Add in/update your information. It can be very useful to use a monospaced font so that you can actually see how things line up. I copy the text in the code tags in to a text program, set the font for a mono-spaced font (like Courior New) and then I can see where I need to add and delete spaces. Don't use tabs to line up text, as your text editor may treat them differently from the forums.
(4) Make sure to renumber any rankings that have changed.
(5) Use preview to make sure it looks okay. Add/remove spaces as necessary to get things to line up.
(6) Hit submit and you are done!

Today I killed my last remaining TWD tourney char (FE). So this was a good time to update to 1.11 and start new HC chars. The first ones are 2 MF chars to get more items and a Berzerker for the fun of it.

Got my hunter druid to the Outer Cloister and he is doing very well at this moment.

Nothing extraordianary happened position myself behind my summons and let them do the killing sometimes I help them out and shooting some arrows in the pack with my hunter bow
