Puffen is taking a little vacation for adding a character with an offensive name and project to the HC ladder. (The post was deleted, since, as I said, the character name was offensive.)

He can put the character back on (but at least for ladder purposes, it must be listed with a more appropriate name) when he returns, even if the character has passed the 50 mark, since he did add him to the ladder.

Fine. :undecided: I'll see how the fishy goes then. With the other two being eliminated I should be able to focus on killing him off more effectively now. Though if this carries on much longer the ladder will be filled with my corpses.

With Gabrielle's demise, I found myself bereft of my only Shako, Reaper's and sorc staff (razorswitch), enters Croesa. She's a blizzard sorc, with one, obvious purpose. Now level 24, may she live forever!

It's been a while since, I've been playing, but i finally got the itch and am continuing where I left off... A septavirate. Cryptstalker has been going along well, and I remembered the old ladder was capped at max lvl of 30 for new entries, so here I am at 29 with my fishy. About to go after Meph.

D is down, it is fortunately the nearest shrine is a fire resist shrine that I don't have much trouble with him. I lower the player settings to 1 since more life for mr.D makes no diffrence on the difficulty for me to kill him but only takes more time.

But on itemwise, Phanata's luck is terrible, none of any amazon javelin at all, but there's some good amazon spear at least.

Phanata is climbing up on the ladder, I target her to enlist among the top ten :thumbsup:

Well, decided to remake the blizzsorc I'd started in softcore but in hardcore this time. Odd that nepeta pokes me to pick up the HC torch again, and I end up making the same kind of character without knowing.

Doesn't feel like much of a sorceress at the moment. She's got Blood Crescent equipped and the shield and boots of the Hsarus's Defense set. More fun to bash things in at the moment. Will update with the necro and blizzsorc's progress in a bit.

At the Arreat's Summit, the Ancients greets Phanata with "A little girl? Muhahahaha... you can run but you can't hide...", "And that's how I'm going to beat you all mighty Ancients" Phanata replied. So that was what happened, all Phanata need to do is to activate her poison cloud and keep running 'till the ancients got tired and gave up.

And Baal...? BAH! His last minion is much scarier :teeth:

I'm interested in having CryoMixalot, my entry in Skunkbelly's "It takes all kinds" tourney player join the HC ladder. That tourney is about to wrap up and I'd like to see how far I can get him. He's level 80 presently so I'd need some votes to be allowed to participate here on the HC ladder.

I started him in March when the tourney began. His journey has been well documented in my posts that thread: http://www.purediablo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=436221&page=5. He's currently in Act 3 Hell and finding it careful going at level 80. He's untwinked and has been playing with the item and stat limitations of the tourney. This is under version 1.11 vanilla.

If I do continue him on the HC ladder, I plan to continue with the equipment limitations of the tourney (started out as 1 item of each kind, from "low quality" to crafted permitted, with progressive "perks" allowing equipment category change) but I may no longer keep the "all stats must be withing 10 points of each other" restriction, as that has led to a huge investment in (useless) energy and a corresponding reduction in safety from limited vitality and dexterity investment.

That was what almost happen to me too, got cornered at the right wing of CS. In case the the balrog pack boss is conviction aura enchanted, the only way is to TP out then use the WP to get back to war zone safely. I don't think it is cheesy since at P8+untwinked+HC, the surviving chance is too small.

Took down Baal on /p8. Done everything except big D on p8 (Lightning hose is too annoying for my skellie army). I'm thinking of either doing a fury zon or a multizon for that part of the sept. Any suggestions?

Updated with my latest progress. Put Hades back in the table (he was there originally, took him out when I tried to quit, now managed to get him a bit further).

Hades is a my necro done in the fishymancer style. Last time on here he was basking in the desert sun - he's been shoved through acts 2 and 3 today. Just shattered a shiny stone from the chest of a demon and found a Tir rune inside (translation: hellforge quest done) Tomorrow he wants to kill Diablo.

Reznap is new here, a blizzard sorc who took down Andariel earlier. Not much of a blizzard sorc however - she has yet to learn the skill her build's named after. Pitiful.

asdf_LOLUSUX (inspired from the PK guide ;D) killed nm andy and progressed to level 53 so that she now can wear a treatchery wire fleece :thumbsup:. I had forgot to update it here in the list but I decided to make her a kicker instead of a TS ninja after finding shadow dancers. She's using IK gloves/belt/boots combo atm and it's OK (well, I'm on p8 so

), it will be upgraded to Sandstorm Trek at level 64 and shadow dancers at 71! I haven't been using ds a lot yet but I've got it mostly for the CE atm, which doesn't do much on p8. No problems at all so far, cloak of shadows <3

I also added asdf_HCBaal, which will be a poison and bone necro, using bone spear probably.

I'm thinking of either doing a fury zon or a multizon for that part of the sept. Any suggestions?

A fury zon would probably be easier because it's less item dependant, but be sure to pick the one you would enjoy the most!Â¨

Took Xia through act2 and I'm currently in Kurast Bazaar. It wasn't a NDE but Sarine came on pretty fast and took out my merc and SM before I knew what hit me.

I regrouped and rained down a few meteors to show her who's boss. I'm really suprised at how much I'm loving this character. PS is one of the most fun skills I've played with and the damage is keeping up for the most part. I'm on players 1 to be safe and my gear is ok (not really) but I've been fighting with AR issues. She is the first melee char that hasn't been using the act2 blessed aim merc and its been tough. I've have the angelic armor and ring , sanders boots, and a rare claw that rolled fools mod and socketed with "eth" to keep my percent 85 and up but not for long. The angelic armor has got to go. Without my defiance merc monster would have an 80% chance to hit. I need something with defense badly. My whopping 23 DR is the only thing saving me from the flayers. Time to go look up RW's.

I've been playing a bit with asdf_HCZON, decided to make her an untwinked strafer. level 13 atm and going melee until I can lay my hands on a good bow, or maybe get a desert mercenary.
Currently wearing a gambled kite shield, broad sword and scale mail. (a little cut and paste there :wink3: )
Merc bugging :S
Any ideas for a backup to strafe? =/ (PI's)
Maybe the only solution is just to live with it :tongue:

btw, while still meleeing, should I go 2h or 1h shield like I do atm?

Well, necromancer made it past Diablo. I'd like to say he did it fine, but at /p3 it was a bit of hassle. That pink hose of his takes down my skellies just fine. However, he's fairly prejudiced and I used that against him. Now see here, standard Nightfish protocol would see a big ol' bad guy and use decrepify. But the first time I tried that and it didn't do much. But I noticed that when I recast the golem, Big D immediately turned on him and prioritized taking him out.

Diablo is golemist!

So after raising more skeletons, the approach became to focus on raising a golem, waiting for Diablo to strike it down, then raising another one behind him. Still took a while, but did the trick in the end.

Diablo dropped this, a staff which I think would be fairly nice for a Blizzard sorc:

However, if anyone wants the staff, then say so. I'd rather it was put to use rather than it sit around with me while my sorc uses the 'lite' orb version. Vanilla item, need I say it's 1.11 and HC?
