1.10 Grail Status Tables

well, nightfish and vorbiss have 1 unique left, the same unique in fact for there trade grail, dunno how close they are on self-found. im pretty sure some are within 10 or 15 of a self found.

Yes, I have seen the same thing here...most of us seem to hate MFing, I don't know why. I guess this explains the poor MFO too, there was only few people who really tried :(

And I have seen too many new guys who just say hello, ask for few items on giveaways and then go away or just lurk, never post. It would be awesome if they would really join our SP community but of course we can't force them to do that. Among them would be many potential grailers but...I don't know why people don't want to face this challenge
 
Hey, I´m all in to the grailing thing so I´ll post the results when I have figured out how many items I´m missing. I think it´s in the range of 60-70 items or so, so I´m not even close to the top of the list. :p

Great idea/thread by the way. :)

As one of the newcomers to this forum I wanted to give you an idea why I (and maybe other newcomers) haven't participated in any of your events yet. I was a frustrated player :grrr: mainly because I didn't understand many of the coarse points say nothing of the finer points of the game. After I found this site, lurked, joined and asked a few questions and lurked some more I finally had a character make it past Diablo normal. Thanks to Nightfish and his fishymancer guide I now have a character in act I nightmare :clap: This is a lot of rambling but I wanted to give you a little background. Am I working on the grail? Heck yes! Have I found a lot? Heck no! But I am having fun now and will continue to read all the posts and guides and hopefully continue to learn. When I get the grail down to under hundreds left I hope this thread is still going and I will post to it. Great idea :thumbsup:

Thats the right attitude!

It really doesn't matter if you are one of those "best" grailers, it is the most important thing that you try. And games are played for challenge/fun, right? This is huge challenge = lots of fun

@ Buster - Over the last couple of months this forum has changed from a veteran dominated forum full of people who would want to participate in things like this to a more beginner help forum. I've noticed that a lot of people here now dont have any high level characters so they cant seriously MF or grail hunt to the extent that you do. This change isnt a bad thing but it does take some getting used to. If you're looking for a really competitive environment I'd suggest you stick to the "other place".
 
I am surprised by the lack of participant grail hunters. I know there are more here, but they just are not posting. I think Mr. McGee is right that most of our hardcore experienced players have left us and more new people are coming here (me being one of them). However, it is good to see that there are grailers still around here.

On an offhand issue, what is the "other place?" Lprman spoke of it in an email to me, but I lost his email. I know there are rules against posting competing sites, but I find it odd why everyone is always so coy about the other site. The online single player communities are not that big and I do not see why we all cannot get along. Is there some sort of war between the two sites? :scratch:

8. I haven't really gotten the ambition to track my finds (I know it is pretty simple with ATMA and FARA)

6. Do 35 breastplates count as 35 items?
5. I only have one character able to Hell mf
4. I only have 4 characters total
3. I only recently started SP. Yep, I was a bnetter...
2. I do *gasp* full clears...

and the #1 reason is...

the "other place" is a forum that we cannot link to cause of the forum rules, so its called the other place and it really annoys n00bs. its kinda liek here, but is more verterens than here. less people. but mst have good MF'ers, know alot about the game etc, so participate in MFO and stuff more.
all those reaosns mean i dont fit in and dont go there much, but i am registered as farting bob. i think i have 1 post (when these forums were down)
 
I'd like to clearify my earlier post. I am interesting in finding all the items. I just find them as I play my characters instead of running certain areas. I had a lot of items in 1.09 and lost them all in my HD crash. I had to start over. I've asked for a few items to help me get started.

I just don't want to run pindle or Mephisto 1000 times. That sounds boring to me. We all play differently and you guys should not be hard on people that are not interesting in Grail Running.

And if all the experienced players left then there will be a little time before some of us learn the game and get characters up that high to MF.

@LprMan: As I see it most of the newbies to the forum are new to the game or new to SP. Either way they would not have the knowledge to help. They have to "lurk" first. Then went they learn a new build, play it and then they would be able to help out. They certainly would not have the characters needed to MF.

Sorry if that seemed like a rant. It is just my two cents and it seemed too one sided for the grailers. I had to put another opinion in.

To answer your your questions:

10. I would not feel embarressed. We all started at 502 items left on our grails too.
9. A Fara report can help you out there a lot.
8. It really is easy, once you know how to do it.
7. I felt embarressed too at one time too and look how many items I have now. If you try, you might even get the fabled Tyrael's Might. :)
6. That is a negative, unless you have a personally grail of collecting the most breastplates.
5. For a while, I only had my Avenger paladin able to mf in Hell. He was my sole runner for ages and even found the fabled Tyrael's Might and over 75% of my grail.
4. And your point is? I only have 6 characters. **gasp**
3. That is okay. I cannot tell you how good it feels to find your own uber items. Anyways, if you are that new and want to find items, I can lend a very helping hand with mf equipment and other items that you need to get yourself started.
2. That is okay. I do full clears of the World Stone Keep and many other places. Bosses are not the only requirement to find good items. :yup:

and for number 1...

1. You can do it. No one here looks down upon you. In fact, I am sure everyone will look up to you for trying. It is not easy trying to complete an item grail. :thumbsup:

FartingBob and Mr. MeGee: I thank you for the info, but I still do not understand why the SPF here has that stupid rule. :grrr:

JohhnyBravo: Doing thousands of Pindleskin, Baal, and Mephisto runs is not something any of us grailers like to do. There are many places to hunt to make it more interesting. For instance, these are all lvl. 85 areas that are great for grailers:

Pit
Mausoleum
Maggot lair lvl3
ancient tunnels
sewer lvl2
forgotten temple
ruined fane
disused reliquary
river of flame
chaos sanctury
WSK
throne of distruction
worldstone chamber
 
Just a quick clarification:

I used to play on bnet, but I was not a bnetter. I sure as heck don't want that reputation... I never once played a public game, only private passworded games with a couple of friends. We now have LAN parties instead of bnet.

@TekkaZeroX - Thanks for the offer of mf equipment, but I cannot accept per SC Ladder rules. BTW, I am completely ignoring my MP characters and anything they may find for purposes of grailing. The 4 characters I spoke of are all SC Ladder characters with no MP.

Eventualy I will figure out what my grail status is, but not until I think I am about half way there. My best estimate is I probably have around 15 - 20% right now.

502 huh? So what is missing off the current FARA list? I downloaded it last night and after much trouble, I finally got a printout, and it only has 499 items on it, not counting runes and gems of course. Actually I don't remember seeing the unique charms or jewels on there either, hmmm...have to check on that. For the record, I'm at about 105 items found so far, so if there are 502, that means I'm at 397 more to go. I'll be brave and actually give that wonderfully high number. I'll go official and actually post on the list when I get home from work and have the fara report in front of me, but I want to be basing it on the right number.
 
Actually if you count the Rainbow Facet Jewel as 1 item, which I believe you should, the total items add up to 497:

27 Class Specific Uniques
23 Other Uniques (Amulets, Rings, Jewel, Charm)

Well I have 227 items in my self-found grail except for my 1.09 Azurewrath which I didn't find and doesn't really count. I would have a lot more if I counted every item I have.

As Buster showed there are 497 base items. However, I added the rainbow facet of each elemental type to my grail, which adds 3 more to the total. Finally after adding in the 1.09 Azurewrath and Siggard's Stealth, it makes my total grail contain 502 happy items. I hope that clears it up.
