Angelic Halo in a hurry.

Where would you go to find the Angelic Halo if you were on a mission to get it as fast as possible?

I've been farming NM Andariel now for about a year now? and I'm starting to lose my patience :yes: Before that I was just grinding everywhere. I'm playing solo fresh start barb with no mule and no multiplayer so all the time spent waiting for a single low level item that I need to plough trough hell is hell.

Man I couldn't imagine playing single player without using atma or gomule. So are you saying you can only farm on a barbarian? What level are you? What's your current/available equipment? How far into the game are you? How many runs have you done? If you're looking to run bosses in NM then Andariel has the highest probability of dropping that particular item. I would maybe recommend trying NM council and then horking as well. Runs would be MUCH QUICKER and you'd have many more chances per run of finding it, then obviously the horking chance, if you have some gull daggers or ali babas on switch that would really up your chance.

Also consider using GoMule because it makes the game so much flipping fun.

You may be going about it in a difficult manner. Perhaps instead of focusing on a single elusive item, you ought to concentrate on improving all your gear simultaneously. If nothing else, improving your magic find would drastically increase your odds of finding ANY item including the green ring. Might I recommend Mephisto for this purpose?

You are right, but it's not like I'll find anything else better in NM at the moment, I need an angelic halo or two to actually hit stuff in Hell. I do have Gull and Ali babas

Have you considered the Hsarus belt/boots partial set? Or make yourself an Insight polearm? Or socket Eth runes in your weapon? Or use a Blessed Aim mercenary? Or use Battle Cry versus enemies? Or invest skill points in a weapon mastery? Or improve your dexterity by spending stat points or putting Emeralds in your armor?

I used the blessed aim merc earlier on, but after reading so many comments that I would need might for Hell I decided to swap, they all said earlier the better to give him many skill points ..

I'm playing SP only so insight is out of the question - my rules are: fresh start hardcore barb, no mule, no trade, no contact with others / help, fresh start, loot and throw away whats not needed. The goal is getting to 99 this way. It's slow!

I'm on my third upped, shaeled steeldriver now (it's still pretty bad), using laying of hands gloves, strings of ears belt, vampire gaze helmet, goblin toe/sanders for speed etc, haven't found a decent chest yet, rattlecage/dark adherent << I like this last one somehow, not sure why.. I'd like something with more damage mitigation since I play hardcore, and as I am not going to rely on resetting skills either I need to have a viable surviving build right away. My MF gear got like quite decent MF numbers with gull babas.

Well I got the IK head with two ptopaz now using angelic halo and wings - loads of resi charms to try to negate the resistance "bonus", not using the vampire gaze at the moment because of the cold damage. I also use heart carver instead of ali babas on named etc for items and with the IK helmet I get 7 on item find so it's decent.

gonna put most points in mace and health now I think, I'd rather get another angelic halo instead of spending points on dext

Do you mean stone of jordan? I've never seen any of those :scratchchin: Do they even drop in singleplayer?

Thank you! I did play a lot more after I posted about it, and I also changed where to look for it! Time to create that Tyrael's Might post then! Not really sure what armors I want except IK or Upped Shaftstop which is my favorite with all the damage negation! Don't think I will see the runes for Enigma for quite a while..
