Forum Mafia - The Dark Tower Game Thread

I'm seeing this moment as a crucial tipping point. As much as I HATE role claiming, I'm Stanley "Sheemie" Ruiz. I have the ability each night to investigate someone's alignment. My results are as follows: Night One - Bad Ash - Well he's all dead and junk so moot point. Night Two - Gwaihir - The Red. Night Three - Caluin Graye - The Red. With the good luck I've had I feel great coming forward now even if I get whacked.
I can't believe you didn't come out sooner.

Yes they've been honest and I'm sad I didn't get to bus cakes.

A red result on Gwaihir? Interesting... BPC shouldn't be questioned for his result, btw. If he has an explanation of any kind he'll say more next day phase.

I highly encourage the remaining ka-tet member to not claim their name. I don't think we should mass claim, at least not yet. I HIGHLY encourage this player to save their claim as it's possible we wind up in MYLO with that player left.

I also don't think people should cease discussion these following days if flubb's results are true and we're lynching blindly. People need to talk.

How did you react tot he result on BA, especially since he flipped red?

Also I was waiting for a comment like this.
I questioned Drixx and received a wonderfully cryptic response. However, my results from the Caluin Graye investigation were stated as "irrefutable proof."

I'm very close to making a rules change concerning the use of encrypted messages. The original intent was perfectly fine. The abuse of encrypted messages to bypass game mechanics is very close to instigating a penalty and a rules change.

You think they are going to get away with circumventing the rules? You should think again. It's not okay. I already chided them for it in this thread and they have a penalty coming from it.

Wait what? So we go from a warning saying that we can't do it any more, fine. To a penalty for something we did not know is against the rules ......

@flubb: Could you be an insane cop?

Agreed, but we have an entire dayphase to learn things, I don't think there's a need to lynch him this second.

I'm assuming, based on the posts, that Mordred would be of the red? If that's the case, how can the unfounded win with town but only if a specific mafia member is dead? Sounds like Gwaihir is fakeclaiming as neutral when he's mafia.

Survivor, in my opinion, is the second most dangerous neutral standard role. (VI being first). While lynching mafia takes precedence, the sooner we remove a neutral from the equation the happier I'll be.

I am concerned about the extra tag on his win condition. Survivor is traditionally a tough role to win with already. To also need a specific character dead as well makes it even harder. Though I suppose the one shot lynch immunity gives him a slight edge.

Any comments about flubb apparently investigating you as a member of the red?

Three red results in a row, and one of which I know to be false. I think your investigations are flawed.

I've had a chat with most of the interested parties, and I think I'm going to forgo the penalty I had in mind. Jcakes makes a valid point that once I initially posted about it, they stopped doing it, and it was not explicitly against the rules, it perhaps doesn't warrant any action.

The proof that there is at least one Unfound in this game is fairly important, I think. There are definitely bound to be at least 1 or 2 more Neutrals.

Would not surprise me.

speculate what?

If it's on unfounds, I have no idea and doubt we can take Gwaihir's word on his name or wincon. He may be part of a team, and i'm not sure I see the relation to him and mordred

No team for me, I am solo. As for my win, apparently I died in the story trying to kill Mordred. Does not bode well, but hey.

Walter isn't even an Unfound, he's of the red.
Wanna try again, Gwaihir?

Yes, he is listed as part of the red on the wiki, but my alignment is neutral. I have no other claim I can make. There is no way in hell I would claim his name as a fake claim, but when it is the only name I have, it is what I use.

I'm Roland Deschain, as seen in my VERY first post.

HAH, called it once BPC followed your line of questioning and claimed to be in a mason group with Roland.

I had a one shot alignment cop, telling my Gwaihir was apart of the Unfound.

Hmm. This is truly bizarre. A small part of my role I left out was that I would supposedly return as innocent to investigations. I assumed I would read as white, but apparently BPC found out somehow I was an unfound anyways. So basically, I have no idea why people are getting odd readings of me.

I also received an "Unfound" on Bad Ash. Is it possible to have Red Unfound??

If I had to guess, I would say you are an insane cop - Red -> unfound, white ->red, and unfound -> white. Could be wrong, and if I am, bets on you being mafia.

I apparently am a magnet for wacky neutral roles (not a complaint, I really like them. Hard to win with, but fun to play). While I agree that survivor can be very dangerous to the town, you have seen me play neutrals. In every case I have tried my best to help town. This game is no different. Please don't waste 2 days lynching me, for both my sake and the towns.

No.

The results stated irrefutable. I could "Google" the word for you if you'd like...

If you'll allow myself to quote myself, perhaps you can read it then.

I also received an "Unfound" on Bad Ash. Is it possible to have Red Unfound??
Reading can be fun. Unfound does not equal Red. I asked Drixx about this after Bad Ash turned up Red and he was happily cryptic. However, with the Caluin Graye investigation he was "irrefutable." I would be willing to go with Gwaihir as "Unfound" but Caluin Graye is of The Red. No Doubt.

This whole game seems like a horribly mangled role claim orgy, I'm so confused as to who is town and who isn't. Maybe a list of confirmed town so far may help?

Town:
pharphis
Jcakes
BPC
kestegs

I'm definitely missing some more people, anyone have anyone to add.
