Forum Mafia - The Dark Tower Game Thread

Ohh Jack Mort would be a good SK fo sho.

Still, a bit early for SK talk since there hasn't been more than 1 kill in a night and no reason to even consider it.

Why do you ask, Moar?

i only know of two that COULD be SK: Jack Mort and Mordred. Mordred could also be easily apart of mafia.

Read both entries and Jack Mort would for sure be a good SK character. I don't think Mordred would be.

Because I think thefranklin is a neutral and wondered if he could be a SK. Traditionally SKs don't kill N1. He could also be whatever else. I don't know more than the basics so I ask and then look the answers up in the wiki.

Now why soundn't I try to get BA to slip up? He has the same chance to be scum as anyone else.

As for it being blatant rolefishing, I explained what I was looking for in my last post to Zauper. A vote within 6 hours of a day from CG means he either feels BA is acting a bit off (you know, a gut feeling) or there was something he posted that was off to him (what CG actually did post).

And the bolded is the scummiest thing said all game, trying to use that to get someone lynched? I could swear that is not included in this thread at all (and if it is in this thread, then I am an idiot and that's all I can say about that).

Slipping up doesn't have to mean they slip up and reveal they're mafia. It may mean they slip up and reveal their town role (i.e. cop or something).

I'm pretty sure 1 or 2 one the thefranklin vote are scum. I'd really like to hear from Gory why he is playing so passive this game. It's just not him as town, but it is also just too different from his towm play that I think he would do it with purpose if he's scum.

Phil and BPC are both behaving too rational and posting too many nonspam messages. Though Phil more than BPC. I'd vote for either of them today, but I'd prefer Phil. He seems a lot like riding on what somebody else said. Agreeing, but not having own opinions. Not sure though. Haven't re read the thread looking fr it and won't before nightfall either.

Why should I feel the need to post spam messages in a mafia game? I don't understand why this a requirement for town. And just because someone believes a post to be scummy does that make it so someone else cannot think the same thing? Even if it is rolefishing? Is it magically considered to be off limits to think something once someone else thinks it even if it does seem very scummy to you?

This is my top suspect. Jcakes is close. I don't like Sath badgering the new guys ( see post 1 of the game) but it doesn't make him scummier than others. I agree with kegs saying cdm is now useless, but I don't think he is scum for it. Gory thinking i was fishing for a cop doeant seem logical, but he did a great job of never calling me scum. Almost too careful...

What is your reasoning for voting me? Your attempt at trying to subtly accuse Gory for scum based on that reasoning is just pitiful.

Game is getting late in the day and I'm going to have to actually get some work done today.

I should be able to pop back I'm before day ends though.

I'm also very interested in this.

Why did you post this right after pharphis? Wanting to be seen questioning me as well? It was 3 mins after pharphis and you acknowledge that you had seen his question.

I might have mistaken you for BPC. He used to post mostly spam in the recent games and the one time he didn't he was scum. Sorry for that. But if I remember correctly this time, your posting habbits were rather on the short and "Idon'twanttosayanything" side as well in the games we played together.

Don't change the meaning of the words you say, slip is related to scum. Also, my thinking being pitiful. I didn't think I would be back today, so I put my thoughts out. Why can't I call Gory scum? He knows scum wouldn't role fish a guilty verdict out of a cop.

Good thing I came back.

Why do you think franklin is a neutral? If you already said this then somehow I missed it.

I have heard that about SKs but I'm not sure if I've seen it so I forgot. If I have, I think it would have been my first game (commie invasion) and so I never picked up that detail.

That's most likely due to me having been newer in the those games. I was scared to post because I didn't really know what I was doing. I feel like I have some more experience now and I want to get more involved in the game, especially since I like the theme so much.

Somehow I don't think you understand what the word "slip" means in this context, or maybe it's used in a different connotation within mafia. In my mind a slip is anything you didn't mean to say or give away, it's not scum-exclusive. You can call Gory scum, but it has to be based on something that actually makes sense.

Yes, I have and you missed it. You can easily find it by going back and reading my posts. It's not more than 5-6 hours ago.

Since you all know cdm better than I...if this behavior of his is this atypical and this random, I'd be inclined to think that it's linked to a role he's been assigned, something that requires behavior like this of him. From what I can recollect of the series, it seems that only members of the red would have roles that would require weird behavior from the person assigned it, so...

Bolding is mine. If your role pm says that your alignment is the white, you don't get a special win con and you don't get a QT link to your scum buddy chat, wouldn't you be sure that you are town? And so "the white" are town in this game?

I think something is up with you. I'm not that convinced that you are scum as you then would have known that "the red" are scum. So I think you are a neutral who neither had red or white in their alignment.

Is there an obvious character for SK in the lore? I haven't got past the basics.

There it is! I missed it because I was in the middle of reading posts on my phone then checked comp before actually reading these unread messages!

I think you actually make a very solid point here. I'll willing to change my vote when I'm at my comp.

Lamist ahoy here:
I sent a pm to drixx after I got my alignment asking if I was town ('the white" wasn't clear to me at first). So I really think moar is on to something.

Which members of the red do you think may have weird behaviours assigned to them or could have those assigned to them?

If I knew you from before, I'd probably vote you right now. But you are new. Please explain why you think mafia roles wuld require odd behaviur and who those roles are.

I forgot this post. This is such an odd time for you to claim, there was almost no pressure for you to claim. Your claim also sounds incredibly weak, filled with easily found wiki information and a fairly minor, low-key role. Sounds almost like a....fake...claim to me.

Your drunkeness shall not stand here! I have also posted drunk and it was fun. But you claim your were drunk for quite a bit of it but your odd posting has gone on for almost two days. So my question is do you have an alcohol problem or are you lying?

Finally, as for the info in the sign up thread, yes it probably should have been here, but my main problem is there was clearly almost no attempt to back up his accusation. Information that is easily found on the Dark Tower wiki and in the sign-up thread.

Hot damn. I thought this was a game and not bash forum members time. Isn't there an incgamers rule against this? (checked, doesn't look like it.) What about the community forum? (no, doesn't look like it either.)
There is the first site commandment about not flaming or trolling, which this is neither, but it even stings me to read it. If you feel cdm has a problem, pm the chap. I do believe this game started over the weekend, and being a socially acceptable and legal thing to do, many people drink over the weekend.
I missed what moar was upset about, but I didn't miss this, and am voting for you simply on this basis.
I also missed what all the Franklin votes were about, but he is/was in the lead with 4 last time I looked.

disclaimer: this is no way intended to be a defense for cdm, as no such defense is given.

It was a very odd time to claim, and kestegs brought up a point in our VT's best asset is to try and get lynched at night. I won't vote for you, bipolarchemist, simply because this is a game and I want to win and not waste a vote.
But, being a game;

erm... don't mention pms. You're not the only one, but the latest in the bunch ><
