What the... ?

You won! Didn't read the end game yet!?
Fun times. Drixx, I may or may not have saved you. :P
Pyro had it spot on in the dead thread; saying smthn to the extent that it sounded like me being there but not being there to send in night actions.
With that, apologies to the town for being there, but not actually being there for part of the game. Had fun, and I'll use ubuntu one to save my actions and information next game, so be prepared! MUaha

Give me VI again and see how I play it:crazyeyes:, Thanks for the game PH:wink: I had fun while it lasted:thumbsup:

I said it in the dead thread, I wished you had pm'd phar for a list of your actions, it would have made your claim better, not like it really mattered.

Well, ****. If you check the mafia thread I thought I may have mentioned the possibility of a bus driver, albeit unlikely. Val was my second choice for kill, I thought Jason was the safer option just in case there was a bus driver.

Damn. I made the wrong choice. If I targeted Val, what would have happened? We both die? Or whoever sent their action in first?

This ending is hugely unsatisfying. There was many instances in which I could and should have played much better. Val should have died much earlier, and I shouldn't have focused on Noodle so much.

Just, ugh.

I plan focusing on school for the remainder of the year, so I'm probably going on vacation from the forums. Mafia is way too much work and it gets in the way of my schooling. I'll definitely be up for any games during the summer though.

Congrats Val and Noodle on your win. Great play.

He would have killed you because he had 1x bulletproof.

If he didn't, I would have had you kill each other.

Pyro, I think throughout this game you blocked 3 kills. Very well done :p

I just realized you are a very cruel mod. You gave a one shot bullet proof to a VI, a role that is normally easy to win with, and not to the survivor, one of the hardest roles to win with.

I see FOE gave the thread. If you are daring, be warned, it might be hard to separate the truth from the lies from the spam. It was pretty terrible.

I wanted the neutrals to have more going for them. Also, that bulletproof didn't prevent Laarz from dying, since mafia and SK targeted him.

Actually, I think Val was blocked for 4 kills this game? 2 on solar, 1 on laarz, and 1 on Jason (or Drixx?) from Pyro.

Also, did I miss it, or did both Noodle and Phill not claim? How did no one call them on that?

Funny thing, when the mass claim occurred, I was feeling belligerent and would have refused to if called out. I dislike mass claims, and dislike even more strongly someone else trying to dictate to me how I should play the game. I probably would have been lynched, but at least I would have been setting a precedent for the next game where someone demanded it. The last day, I would have role claimed if someone had asked, but no one did.

I thought about bugging you for it. But as Phil had not claimed, I could not figure out a good way not to draw attention to him. So I just kept my mouth shut.

About half way through the game I decided that the two players I wanted to win were Val, Noodle, and before Laarz died i was also rooting for him. It would have been awesome for 3 neutrals to win! (way to go Laarz :p)

When you designed the game, did you have a win rate in mind for those neutrals? Rather, a win rate for the SK since the others can share a win. Did you expect the neutrals to help/hurt any faction?

IIRC there were only 3 nights with 2 kills. The first was Sath killing Solar (after Val failed to do so because of coju's save), The second was when Thyiad died (?) and the third was our final night. So, only the mafia knew for the LONGEST time.

However, I believe coju could have guessed earlier if he thought about his action on Solar. That would take assuming no bus driver and such, but it was an important insight that could have changed the game, I think.

I'm not sure anyone here could correctly guess the instance where a successful doc save still results in SI's death (or a 1x bulletproof vest wearer dying the first night they were targeted). I think everyone's first reaction was bus driver. I think of things like strongman, roleblocker (on coju) and even bomb/bodyguard (since there were two kills that night) before coming back to the "doc can only protect against one kill if there are multiple kills" reason.

Over all, I think the game was quite balanced. Only role I felt was too over the top was the Day-vig in the hands of the mafia.

Vig in the hands of mafia (day or night vig) helped make up for the low mafia numbers. The vig in the hands of the spy/traitor not only counteracts the loss of NK due to recruitment, but also to give the spy/traitor a chance at obtaining a fake claim in case they weren't recruited by mafia come mass claim time. Mafia spy/traitor with 1x vig shot was an EXCELLENT role!

Maybe you think day vig kills should always be town but I think that's a mistake because it will turn all daytime vigilantes into innocent child vigilantes.

Quickly on the subject of Eavesdropper - the moment you claimed, your ability was worthless. You should have realized that anything you received from that point on would be either fabricated to fool you or pointless spam. The fact that a few days were spent following bad leads (time zones, anyone?) was just silly. The fact that Valhauros was the one leading the charge with that information should have tipped you off that he was not on the level.

The eavesdropper worked just fine even after Jason claimed. Look at the mafia conversation before and after the eavesdropper was known. Without the eavesdropper, mafia don't have to make lots of fake posts and wonder if someone is making a fake post or a real post. Mafia planning and coordination suffered greatly.

Yes, that's all true. I guess it was more of a slim chance think that most people should not worry about, such as lovers, or perhaps the link ability Corax used in the gods game (noooooooooo my bus was soooo wasted).
What ability would Ender have received after claiming Treestump?

Why did BA not claim treestump?
I wrote it down somewhere, I thought, but it was a 1x ability of either cop, doc, or vig. i just love vig kills. Also, a treestump vig would be so stylish.
He said in the dead thread he didn't want to claim too early in the game, but iirc he was considering doing it after the night he died.
