Your gloating reeks of a good strong bussing. Especially the last part where you suddenly think it might be a good idea to lynch moar instead of the mafia you just caught red handed.
Not exactly. I said that if we think Moar needs to be lynched it should be sooner rather than later. However, I think she's town. I'm guessing she has this strange role to deal with the multitude of deaths that have happened. (yes I looked at today's results before posting)
Few questions.
1) Why did you decide to wait until Corax, Pyrotechnician, and Laarz had claimed before coming forth with this information? If you had already caught Jcakes in your snare, so to speak, what did you expect from the other three's claims? Were you somehow hoping that they'd also claim Artemis?
2) Why did you pick Hades as your fake claim? That's a ballsy move, since Hades is a well known deity and very likely to make an appearance. Why did you not go with a lesser known, but still evil, option?
3) With a one shot ability, you have to very carefully weigh the options ahead of you before using it or risk wasting it. You used it on night two, choosing Sathoris. Why so early in the game? Why Sathoris? Did you have reason to believe he was going to be targeted for NK?
4) Why did you feel the need to rush to claim early? You could have waited until after everyone else claimed and still come forth and gotten scum lynched. Doing so would have precluded the necessity of fake claiming Hades.
1)I just chose to wait until everyone was done. Part of the reason for the claim to begin with was to draw reactions from everyone on the "Hades is evil" thing. . .
2) This happened to work 2-fold. First of all, Hades was the first thing I thought of that was normally known as evil. I figured that would also be a good choice since that meant there was a decent chance the god was in the game (as you said). If it is a GOOD vs. EVIL type theme, and there was Hades in the game, then this MIGHT push the real Hades to counter-claim me. Some of those thoughts came after the fact, though.
3) I chose N2 because I wanted to use it as soon as possible. Before claims, but also at a point where I could judge who may be NKed. I picked myself because I felt that would make it so my ability wasn't wasted even if I died (this fake-claim scenario could still be caught). I chose Sath because I thought he would be killed. He acted somewhat strangely but he dropped a few things that seemed like hints as to investigations. I figured that whether or not this meant he was a cop, or was trying to draw attention as a bomb, or reflector, or whatever other bad things there are for mafia to target would be taken incorrectly by the mafia. I know that if I was bomb or some kind of equivalent I would do this very thing.
4) This kinda goes with answer 1. I wanted to see reactions to the name Hades.
Some thoughts after a night's sleep:
Blood Swap looks like it can be written as a bus driver but it only works on investigations and kills. It can be used to stymie an investigative role or coroner. We've seen claims/info for/from both an investigative role (Zokar the watcher) and coroner (FoE the JOAT and BA with coroner results). Looks a lot like rock-paper-scissors. Mafia beat a VT. Cop beats mafia. Godfather beats cop. And so on. If blood swap is the scissors to investigator/coroner paper, then it stands to reason blood swap has an alignment opposite of the investigator/coroner.
On the other hand, a townie Blood Swap ability can also be used as pharphis claimed. If successful, the killer will get the wrong name. Fake claiming a name that isn't safe to fake claim is a good way to get rope burn round the neck. If mafia happen to have an investigative role it can also be used to mess up that result but mafia investigative roles aren't exactly super common.
@pharphis - Why did you choose Sathoris? Why did you choose N2 to use a one shot ability? How close did you come to either choosing a different player or not using the ability on N2?

I didn't think much about picking another person because I felt Sath was so obvious at the time.
