Gods of Ancient Greece. Forum mafia game.

I think she's probably VI.

I don't think she would have given in and wanted proof of her being lynch-immune after the heat she got last game for that behaviour. she also gave us a strange (3/4ths Treestump? lol) claim to draw attention. Lynch D1 wincon? Maybe

This seems very likely at this point. That's probably the best thing for town though, as if she is still around tomorrow she is going to be a big distraction regardless of her true alignment.

I have a vote on myself.

If TC is no bastard mod, I won't be lynched tonight. Tomorrow (mafia day) my vote won't count. I can write "vote: somebody" but it will not be counted. So I will do just that. I'm really travelling on early Saturday morning and I have never tried to post here from my Ipad. I will do so though if I go to bed before the new day is up. (laptop will be packed then) I'll just vote somebody when I am at the airport. You'll see that it isn't counted.

I meant tomorrow. Is there a reason you'd vote somebody and not yourself?

Erm, how can I be around tomorrow if I'm lynched today and am the VI? Shouldn't me being around tomorrow mean that I wasn't a VI since the lynch failed?

@ Gory
You are playing very different from how you did the last games where you were town. I think you are scum this game.

I change things more often than most people comment about how I'm "different this game." However, I haven't consciously made a decision to change anything specific this game.

You never make comments like that "BM" comment when you are seriously scum hunting.

Never is such a strong word. Especially since it's not true. Or maybe not.

It's true that I haven't been seriously scum hunting the last few hours. Once the let's-lynch-Moar-to-prove-her-unlynchable-status idea was floated, I wrote today's lynch off as a loss. I've seen it happen often enough. I've made my decisions for today. The questions I've been asking these last few hours are long-term questions that don't have immediate impact for today. It puts me in a different frame of mind. I'm definitely not cutthroat right now.

You haven't asked me a question after I claimed, I think, and that is so typically not you.

I fully expect you to be pynchproof today. I feel no need to probe you to test that theory. Other questions remain, of course, but your actions in the meantime will serve a far better barometer for your alignment than answers to any question I can ask of you today.

More importantly, I prefer to basically ignore treestumps/unlynchables. It's a general rule. See the Half Life game.

You haven't voted for me either. Is that because you are afraid that I will turn out not lynchable? And that might hurt your mafia team?

I'm paying attention to how others interact with you, vote you, etc. I feel that's far more important use of my time right now. Basically, I'm scumhunting by shutting my mouth. And yes, I'm fully aware I said this as mafia last game. I said it as mafia because I frequently do it as town.

The way you act this game is just not how you are when you are town and hunting the scum.

Look up some of my old games and you'll find I've had many styles of scumhunting. Look at how I townhunt as well.

Goddammit, you guys post a lot.

As I haven't really got time to organize a huge bunch of quotes, here are my main thoughts on what happened since I last posted:

thefranklin is acting... well, scummy as hell. how so has been outlined by a couple of people already (gory and sath iirc - which I most likely don't)

As much as I hate admitting it, I find myself agreeing with Sath.

I would have prefered to lynch somebody else, but I still don't trust moar. I'm ok with a lynching her, but am afraid that it not being succesful will lead to people assuming she is town, which I won't necessarily agree with.

Vote: Moar

Uh uh, I do, I do!

Pick me! Pick me!

I didn't say that, or didn't mean that. Obviously if you are vi you won't be around tomorrow.

Yes pharphis, it was a mistake. Day ends in a couple of minutes. Results will be posted a bit afterwards as I still have 2 pages to read and then tally the votes.

"I'm speechless."

"I'm astonished."

"Ungrateful gits."

"What's up?"

One of the gods points to a large group of people below them. "THAT!'S up!"

The god looks below and sees humans pulling stone into place for what looks like a big temple

"New temple. Cool. Who's the lucky one?"

"Guess."

"Don't bother, you'll never guess."

"Un-be-fracking-believable."

"Look at it. Three different types of stone, some polished within an inch of their lives. And that carving there ... stunning. I just ...", he sighs.

"Who is the temple to?"

"Ha! Who did we just lose?"

"What? You're kidding me."

"Nope. They're making a new temple to a dead god."

"Are you sure? They're not overly bright but that's dim even by their standards."

"Check the carvings."

The god peered nearer. His jaw dropped open.

"Mhmmm hmm."

He stared at the carvings.

"They're making a new temple to a dead god and trying to gain his favour by posting Emus all over it?!"

"Oh, yes."

"Oh, me."

No one has been lynched.

It is now NIGHTTIME. You may not post for the next 24 hours. All night actions are to be sent to me as soon as possible.

"I really don't think this is a good idea"

"You're a god, you're supposed to know, not think."

"I don't think that came out right."

"Will you three shut up? We're supposed to be being sneaky!"

"I'm more a lightning bolt type ..."

"Arrow are my style ..."

"The heart is mightier than the arrow ..."

"And my foot will be more mighty than your mouths, now shut up. We all agreed that we can't have temples to dead gods. Needs to be nipped in the bud. You all said you wanted to do this, so let's make it work without making a specticle of ourselves. It's a bit demeaning this, but it has to be done. We all agreed that a mere lightning bolt, rain of arrows or burial in rose petals wouldn't cut it."

The group murmurred agreement and continued sneaking into the partially-built temple.

A ghost watched the group progress. He didn't seem happy.

"I finally get a bit of respect - let's focus on the temple and not the emus - and those gits want to sabotage it. Oh no. Not this time."

As the group approached their destination, the ghost began to glow.

"I might be dead but I'm not out of action totally."

His dead was still better than most people on top form.

The largest Emu statue started to crack.

The group turned and looked at it.

The jaw of the Emu detached, leaving it lying on the floor.

"Got the munchies?" joked one of the group.

"Needs more fibre in his diet." nerviously laughed another.

"Ha ha" said the ghost, "and you're IT!" he created a gale force gust of wind behind the group which sent them hurtling into the open mouth of the emu.

Random profanity was heard from inside the mouth of the emu.

A huge tremor shook the ground and the jaw magically snapped back up into place with the group inside it.

"Stitch that you bastards." said the ghost without humour.

:o

I've never been in a game where this has happened. Is it safe to assume that at least one of those who died was scum?

Tc, can I please get that vote counted. I fried my PC today and am just on the IPad now. I'll try again though.
Vote: Laarz
