"K" is well known as the Letter of Comedy. If literary types wish to create comedic prose, they include a few words with "K" in them. Comedic characters in films often feature a "K" in their names and epithets.
The letter "Z" is so abhorrent, John Wyndham attempted to rename New Zealand "New Sealand" in his story, The Chrysalids - although the denizens of NZ in the story kept trying to correct this spelling (to no avail).
