Mafia Game: Cheers/Frasier Theme

Important Notice:
With regard to TC's posting in the game, I must point out that in my post, I was speculating wildly plus I was comparing the hypothesised game mechanic I described, which was somewhat devious, with the clever and intricate way TC crafts his games.
In no way should it be interpreted that I am critical of TC's game modding, nor that I have anything less than full respect and admiration for the way Thyiad has created her game and the way she has conducted it.

I'm not being funny, I just want all to be entirely clear about what I have just told you all.:

*************

Very comfortable with my Vote 1 below. Relatively happy with my Vote 2 as well.

CG is obvscum, trying to paint Moar in a bad light. Pharphis is obvscum for unvoting Jcakes. Obviously.

Vote 1: Caluin Graye
Vote 2: pharphis

I'm really sorry that I'm not participating much. I'm having trouble trying to read the players and add something to the discussion.

But I do think CG has to go, this looked weird to me at the time and was what "started the kill" on Noodle. The way he jumped on the wagon. I might be risking being completely unfair but...

Or maybe was Moar that started it?

Why weren't you comfortable then but are now?

Yes, it was me who started it. And remember that I also got Martin lynched. So my reads are apparently off this game. I would prefer coju or Pyro up for lynch today rather than CG. I did vote for CG because of his claim and I do indeed not trust my own reads seing my record. So I follow for once.

On Jcakes: Again I am following here. What will a no lynch do for the town? I don't have a strong scum read on him, but nothing to defend him either.

You have a vote on coju still out there, so your vote on CG probably doesn't count. Care to try again? ;)

I have doubts abut CG, but I really think coju has a way more questionable claim today. My vote stays on him unless it risks getting a no lynch.

As for vote 2 shenanigans: We have lynched 2 people based off of Jcakes info, and neither were scum. He claimes a Jailkeeper or maybe roleblocker, which I was not clear on, and we already had 2 jailers in town. Seems more likely he could be a roleblocker for the second faction. In the end he could be innocent after this string of coincidences, but that just does not seem that likely.

pharphis - Care to explain more than "one person I think is scum voted for Jcakes?" Do you expect mafia to never push to lynch other mafia?
Loz - so you think phar is scum for unvoting Jcakes, so you want to try to change the vote 2 lynch to him at this point? What do you think are the odds of that working?

Getting enough vote 2's for pharphis this late is probably impossible, does you not Vote2ing Jcakes make you scum too?

I'm not sure if I believe Caluin's bomb claim or not, although I had doubts about him way back after the Goryani fiasco as well so not much is working for him right now. Is the bomb power commonly night kill only? I don't think I've ever seen it that way before in the games I've been in.

I know this is probably the worst time to bring this up, but we might need to consider the effects of Mal's one shot recruiting power, depending on if he got to use it or not. We should probably discuss it next day phase though as we don't have much time left today and we need to make a final determination on the best lynch canidate.

I'm confused. . . At first I was going to post saying that you're voting for the doc, and then I realized that you're voting for me instead of Jcakes, which in a way points to you as being scum lol.

Afraid to try your luck on NKing me? Want to convince the town that I'm scummy so you don't have to risk me preventing my (or another's) death?

Bolded for emphasis:
On Jcakes: Again I am following here. What will a no lynch do for the town? I don't have a strong scum read on him, but nothing to defend him either.
This is how I feel, and if it comes down to it I may switch to voting for him for the lynch.

In light of LozHinge's recent post, I no longer trust Thyiad or ThunderCat. For that matter I'm going to closely scrutinize all monikers beginning with the letter T from now on....:spy:

Moar has been straight since the beginning. No reason to even consider her scummy or suspicious. What if this is a ploy by Caluin Graye to get votes/lynched....how devious!! There could be more to this "bomb scare" than he's letting on. He's is a skilled player and there is no evidence why he's lived this long without being NKed. Last game as mafia he was our first target! I'm not changing my vote unless the town needs my vote to secure the lynch.

I do expect scum to vote for each other, and I'm sure they already have, but as I said (while you posted, actually) that I don't really feel for a Jcakes lynch. I just don't really see it.

@Pyro, I only remember reading about one bomb before, and it was in Autti's first game. someone mentioned it in MY first game, the commie invasion. Iirc the other newb (not autti) to that game was lynched D1 and his locker was killed with him. He was called a fighter in that, but I don't think it's any different? I don't remember the theme of that game, anyway.
Anyway, aside from that I think it can happen either way, but I don't know which is more common.

Also, I thought a bit about who Mal would go for, and I just kind of assumed it was CG or someone else really experienced. Or, if he didn't rush to recruit someone then he may have waited until he was near death and tried to recruit a power role (like Jcakes? - I didn't think about THAT until right now, but I wonder if that timing fits with Jcakes's lie about his role hitting townies as well :/)

Want to bet one of the Masons was recruited?

I'm confused. . . At first I was going to post saying that you're voting for the doc, and then I realized that you're voting for me instead of Jcakes, which in a way points to you as being scum lol.

Am I the only person going to point out that having a doctor (4x shot or no!) is questionable in a game that also has two Jailkeepers? That's three protections in a night. Two is excessive, three is just down right overkill.

Moar has been straight since the beginning. No reason to even consider her scummy or suspicious.

The one mason who doesn't think there's a hidden mafia amongst them. You'd be the one I'd peg as recruited by Mal.

What if this is a ploy by Caluin Graye to get votes/lynched....how devious!! There could be more to this "bomb scare" than he's letting on.

Two docs... two roleblockers... two jailkeepers... two village idiots? Hmmm, food for thought.

I have doubts abut CG, but I really think coju has a way more questionable claim today. My vote stays on him unless it risks getting a no lynch.

I could get behind a coju lynch. I'm willing to bet his given name ties him into an already lynched player, and he hasn't had time to think up a plausible fake claim.

We can discuss it I guess, but what is there to say? He has a one shot recruit, and we have no idea if it was used. If he used it, there is one more unknown mafia among us. Not sure how it changes much, as we really have no info.

Laarz has yet to expand upon his claim as well which also concerns me.

This. Definitely this. Granted he has not posted again since then, but still.

1) What about those that end in a t? :P
2) Agreed on the Moar idea she seems to have honestly scum hunted the whole game. Targets were not always right, but the town apparently saw he as correct, as we voted to lynch them. But are you suggesting CG is a VI? That seems a very long stretch.

You have a vote on coju still out there, so your vote on CG probably doesn't count. Care to try again? ;)

Good grief. I even checked Page 1 before trying to vote CG, didn't see my vote on coju under my abbreviated name. Can't brain today, too much blood in my dumbstream.

If I unvote coju, it's 4-2 votes on CG-coju, whereas if I leave it on coju, it's 3-3 (at time of posting). Very well.

I have doubts abut CG, but I really think coju has a way more questionable claim today. My vote stays on him unless it risks getting a no lynch.

I cannot actually chose between the two, so I will vote with the best hope of a lynch.

pharphis - Care to explain more than "one person I think is scum voted for Jcakes?" Do you expect mafia to never push to lynch other mafia?

I like the above post.

Loz - so you think phar is scum for unvoting Jcakes, so you want to try to change the vote 2 lynch to him at this point? What do you think are the odds of that working?

No, I don't. And little chance of that working. I voted pharphis by mistake, meant to type Jcakes. Because I struggle with doing stuff and thinking stuff. FML.

Getting enough vote 2's for pharphis this late is probably impossible, does you not Vote2ing Jcakes make you scum too?

Yes, either scum or impossibly stupid. I am actually too stupid to work out which is more likely at this point.

I'm not sure if I believe Caluin's bomb claim or not, although I had doubts about him way back after the Goryani fiasco as well so not much is working for him right now. Is the bomb power commonly night kill only? I don't think I've ever seen it that way before in the games I've been in.

I do not believe the bomb claim for one moment.

I know this is probably the worst time to bring this up, but we might need to consider the effects of Mal's one shot recruiting power, depending on if he got to use it or not. We should probably discuss it next day phase though as we don't have much time left today and we need to make a final determination on the best lynch canidate.

Why do we need to consider it? It's not like we know how many mafia we have left, it's either x or x+1, neither of which we know.

Wasting time on this is wasting time properly spent on catching scum. (Somebody will try to spin this up as "Loz doesn't want the recruitment discussed" but please, think about it a moment.)

I'm confused. . . At first I was going to post saying that you're voting for the doc, and then I realized that you're voting for me instead of Jcakes, which in a way points to you as being scum lol.

Sorry pharphis, but I strongly suspect you so your arguments are unlikely to sway me.

In light of LozHinge's recent post, I no longer trust Thyiad or ThunderCat. For that matter I'm going to closely scrutinize all monikers beginning with the letter T from now on....:spy:

flub ... please don't help me. :wink2:

+1 to this

Unvote 1: coju
Unvote 2: pharphis
Vote 1: Caluin Graye
Vote 2: Jcakes

Yeah, I saw that. I hate it when someone posts in the middle of my composition. Happens to me a lot as I tend to start typing, then go do something else part way through, then come back to 5 more replies.

You make a good point about recruiting, I didn't really think about ways of finding a recruit as opposed to a normal mafia. First who could he recruit - was it limited by theme, was it limited to townies and could he recruit from another mafia faction? Secondly who would he recruit - strong player, power role? I take back my previous statement, there is more to discuss here than I thought.

I'm a helper!

Unvote 1: Pyrotechnician
Vote 1: coju

So you vote for coju now to try to sway the votr in his direction an from him? If you are a helper, why not give some sort of reasoning with it?

So, does nobody believe cujo's lawyer claim? Or do you just think he cant save himself?

I don't believe it at all. I could have believed a one-shot lawyer, but he claims a lawyer that could have acted every day and that just seems to be too OP.
