Yeah it is quite weird, though who knows how much of that article is true. And even if it is true, there are weird things that happen in nature. The Black Widow spider female for instance, eats the male after mating (afaik).

That's completely normal and common practice and ... wait ... right, eating and ingesting. Yeah, that's not normal. Couldn't she just give the guy a fake mobile number or something?
