9 to lynch

Koral is locked. The day will end in 3 hours as scheduled.

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

Can you point to me your post where you first voted Val?

@Gwahir: did I miss a vote? Did you vote for Val this day step?

Nope, I didn't actually vote him. Because I am a very bad speller and some games are more sensitive to that, I tend to copy/paste my votes from someone else and then check spelling. I did it to kegs, and then changed to RE's spelling in the following post, but didn't notice I grabbed the unvote line until you mentioned it.

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

First off this is crazy. I am fine with a korial lynch because he's been on my radar since Day 1. However, I pretty straightforwardly asked goryani to reveal his day target (before he claimed his role was stolen) and he said something along the lines of "what makes you think I can do that".

.............

So he didnt have the role, wasn't going to give up information, and now just plainly agrees with it? Something isnt right about that. If korial is anti-town this is all moot I believe, but that is not sitting right with me at all.

Also, Val, I dont think anyone believed you, they just found a (better?) different target. Coju claims cop, FoE claims cop, and people are just blindly voting hardcore without questioning it too much. Confusing to say the least.

Korial is locked now so it doesnt matter, but I highly doubt that both are cops. Coju should be on the chopping block of korial is scum. If he is town, then FoE just did a hell of a swing job off of Val after gory was flaky about the role to begin with.

Unvote: Bad Ash
Vote: Korialstraz

Works for me. I can kill BA by night then, unless he can give me a good enough reason not to.

Bad Ash, got any good reasons why I shouldn't kill you overnight and do something else instead?

Seriously, do what you want. I am not going to be bullied into a power role claim by your threats. That is extremely scummy and anyone ignoring that is absurd. How else would you like me to respond to change your mind without role claiming? You'd be killing a townie, after trying to bully a townie into role claiming, and after ignoring my concerns with your claimed role after the night talk. Do I think you are anti-town? I have no idea, you basically have free range for anyone tracking you to make kills and get away with it because people are ignoring the cons to what you are doing and you are getting a free pass.

I won't beg, plead, or role claim with you, but kill me during the night and you lose a town plain and simple and even if you dont youve made me a prime suspect for the night kill. way to go. Really good job playing a town role (that was sarcasm for anyone who didnt pick up on it)

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

Also, if FoE is mafia, why would he investigate you (coju) and say he found you innocent, do you think hes just making that up as part of his story?

Whats the possibility that either of you aren't sane? Another thing to consider since Auttie was the framer/tailor thing is it possible he tailored korial to look innocent N1? So many questions.

I asked before the game start whether I was sane or not. Also, a Day cop and a Night cop didn't seem too far fetched for me, after thinking about it for a minute.

Why he got a pro-town on me? If he is scum, he knows I'm town and didn't see me as much as a threat, I reckon... (?)
- One of us is insane
- The whole "hard to tell friends from foes" on N1 really did something
- Some third party role messed with Korial N1
- You are lying

I know I'm sane.
... True.... True...
... Also true, but I can believe point 2 better.
False.
And coju, whz haven't you shared your N2 investigation with us yet?

Kegs: at my count Korial is at L-3 :ponder:

I was blocked... Have you forgot that? All were blocked...
@Coju

Do you think FoE is making up his results regarding yourself/korial?
If so why did he proclaim his result on you to be innocent?

@Both
Do you think its possible you or your supposive counterpart are not sane?
What are the possibilities of there being two cop roles?

(((I looked back, and the "unable to tell friend from foe" comes from d1, before I was even able to send in a Night ability.
GAME START!

In the town of Sunopal, a dark pressence could be felt, that and the roiling thunderclouds above the city kind of suggest some evil is at work. Heroes and adventurers from the land gathered in the town to root out the cause of evil, the Cult of The Dark One, but the evil god had a trick up his sleeve, he blinded the heroes, so they could no longer tell friend from foe. Working though his cult he will slowly elimiate all who stand before him to gain power needed to lay waste to the entire world. Can the heroes use their powers and wits to uncover the identity of thier foes in time?

It is now Day 1, The day will last 48 Hours.

I wont throw out the option of that being a dream-state and my results, (and gory's first) to be opposite.

Honestly, thinking more about it, I could come to the conclusion that he is telling the truth. I'm am unsure about it, but lean more on him lying.
Why he proclaimed me as innocent I've answered above.

Sane/unsane: Yeah, that's a perfect option. I asked RE before and he told me I was sane.
2 cops: 100% likely, why not? There's an outed Day Cop, and now an outed Night cop.
Role name? N2 target? N2 result? Were you given any information about your sanity? Have you deduced anything about your sanity? Have you deduced anything about FoE's sanity? Do you think FoE is mafia simply because of the differing result on korial or is there something else?

N2 all actions were blocked...........................................................................................................
Sanity, yes, answered above.

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

However, I pretty straightforwardly asked goryani to reveal his day target (before he claimed his role was stolen) and he said something along the lines of "what makes you think I can do that".

I mentioned that you assumed I got results before the end of the day. IF the original role thief was mafia, then I expected mafia members to learn of the results of the switch. One result would be learning details of the Paladin role that was just stolen. One such detail is the ability to receive results before the end of the day. I named you and kestegs as fitting this mold.

That wasn't the only reason I didn't claim early. I've seen what mafia do when a cop claims to have an investigation result but doesn't give results (CG did this to the mafia in Black Blood Brothers). It's paralyzing. A mafioso can take multiple actions at that point, but becomming interested in the cop's results is one of the safest paths. That path doesn't risk making a townie look more townie from a failed scumhunt, doesn't require having to defend or villify a fellow mafia, and doesn't require lurking. I didn't mention players fitting this mold, but you and kestegs also fit, as well as Noodle from his question during N1 about if I have investigated anyone.

So he didnt have the role, wasn't going to give up information, and now just plainly agrees with it? Something isnt right about that.
Is this addressed to me? I'm satisfied with FoE's claim because I put myself in a position to adjudicate FoE's claim. Staying silent for part of a day was instrumental.

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

A clap of thunder crashes through the arugments of town, as the self proclaimed paladin secretly casts detect alignment on Koral before annoucing that he is tainted by the dark one, as if from nowhere all eyes fix on him, burrowing deep into his eyes for any fient of guilt or reason, just as the towns on a hair trigger, they snap and decide he's for the chopping block slightly before he could annouce.

"I'm just a simple spellcaster, countermagic is my domain" but they already have him on his knees, a crossbow aimed at his chest.

"Any last words? Wizard" a sarcastic member of the guard mutters, Koral smiles. "Seems the madness shall take me too" he looks up the inane smile growing wider, a viral madness filling his eyes, the red rain grows heavier.

"These doors open inwards" He proclaims, "His grand scheme can not be stopped, I die with no regrets, I hope you fools will think the same when he awakens."

A sharp snap of a crossbow string followed by a quenching thud as the bolt peirces Koral's heart, the weather is now storming the unnatural storm, as before, all will be revealed on a night such as this from those who died.

"Twang! You're dead" finally scoffed Koral's Lyncher, before picking the bolt out of his chest and placing it back into his quiver.

Koralstraz has been lynched he was Chaos Sorceror (Roleblocker/Redirector) - Anti-town

It is now Night it will last for 24 hours, pm me any actions.

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

Sorry, I have been at work all day and out all evening so I ...

Wait a minute ... I went out this evening? WTF?

Hey guys, I went out this evening, I had a great time!

Uh, sorry. Too much work, not enough play.

I have been afk for the past 15 or so hours with no way of checking the thread. I've read through up to date but can't make head nor tale of the coju situation. Doesn't matter today though as korial is locked. Oh well, we'll see I guess.

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

Groggy you open your eyes....is it still night?, this thought rattles you for a second before you realise the sun is being blocked by the moon, you stumble out and meet the rest of the towns folk here.

In what looks like a masacre Noodle is found pinned to the town's fountain in 37 different places by various knives, furthermore next to him also dead is Ankeli who's through was slashed clean with the same type of blade, a "relaible" witness claims to of seen them sacrifice one and other on his way home from the tavern.

Valharous however appears to still be missing, it isn't long before a guard finds him, bloated from posion, clutching in his hand a half written suicide note.

However bloody the night was you can't help feel more concerned about the sun being blacked out, and as if this has happened before.

Noodle has died (Temptress)
Valharous has died (Matryr)
Ankeli has died (necromage)

It is now Day 4 you have 48 hours. There are 12 alive it takes 7 to lynch.

BA, how do you feel about the fact that Ankeli threatened you yesterday, and then appears to have killed and been killed by no less than Noodle, your very own noodlenemesisisis?
Is the delicious joy and irony - from your point of view - beyond description, or can you describe it?

Hmm. No vote from him on Day1 or Day3 as far as I can tell, and a distancing vote on Day2 for Autti which happened to go the distance ... I wish to vote flubbucket today.

Vote: flubbucket

Lookitthat ... I wish I had a million dollars, U.S. ....

...

ah well.

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

So sauced up Bad Ash saw something last night?? What happened to Ankeli's through?

Wait...what's a through?! (sorry RE, couldn't resist)

Noodle has died (Temptress) <--------------- And you wonder why I'm always trying to catch a peek down the blouse?

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

Laarz; you're the only person to have voted for Skjolde and not voted for either of the two scum we've lynched. On day two you didn't vote at all and on day three your vote stayed on Valhauros. I find your reasoning behind the vote suspicious as well - a word reversal that forces Val to defend himself without you actually laying any case down on him.

How do you respond to this suspicious voting history?

Gwaihir; you voted for Skjolde but not for Autti. Granted you voted for Korial, but that was after a cop claimed him guilty. I find this less suspicious that Laarz, but still strange enough to comment on and ask for your explanation.

For the record, Valhauros falls into this category as well, but seeing as he's dead...

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

I Val was an innocent. Also, who was the role thief yesterday?

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

Unvote: Valhauros I still think theres something not right there. I will let korial make his plea, so I won't lock him right nowbut if we haven't heard from him in a while i will lock if people I trust right now thinks it the right thing to do. I will be on the road for about 5-6 hours today starting in less than 2 hours, so my vote will have to come before then.

I unvoted Val as you can plainly see and would have voted korial, but Val swooped in with 4 hours to go and locked him. On Autti I was working working and unable to leave to get on a computer.

I felt Val was trying to confuse things and thought it was scummy.

Re: Roles of Madness. Mafia Thread

I see NK reveals, as a previous day story hinted at.

Groggy you open your eyes....is it still night?, this thought rattles you for a second before you realise the sun is being blocked by the moon, you stumble out and meet the rest of the towns folk here.
...
However bloody the night was you can't help feel more concerned about the sun being blacked out, and as if this has happened before.
If the dream has happened before, there aren't a lot of choices it could be. I don't remember seeing a sun blocked by the moon earlier though.

Valharous however appears to still be missing, it isn't long before a guard finds him, bloated from posion, clutching in his hand a half written suicide note.
Perhaps I'm reading too much into this, but Val found separate from the others sounds like he did NOT target Noodle or Ankeli. If he did, I would expect him to be among the same group of corpses (not to mention one of them shouldn't be there...). The separate death flavor also suggests no connection with Noodle and Ankeli. I'm not sure if we can determine if Val intercepted a NK, saving someone, or if he was targeted directly.

Noodle and Ankeli sacrificing one another? How Romeo and Juliet of them.

Assuming Ankeli was telling the truth, he absorbed a night kill. He didn't tell us the nature of the night kill and he may not have known himself. Is there any role which sacrifices itself to kill another?

With three dead I don't want to automatically assume three killers, especially considering the shared flavor between Noodle and Ankeli. It's hard to come up with a "normal" explanation without three killers though.

Noodle has died (Temptress)
Valharous has died (Matryr)
Ankeli has died (necromage)
When I saw temptress, I thought of two things: prostitute (aka, mafia roleblocker) and target manipulator. However, that's exactly what korialstraz turned out to be. I don't think it would be a carbon copy (or nearly, depending how the redirector/manipulator works).
