Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

Okay, on night 7 Sathoris and Ivan visited TC and he was shot.

Two previous times Uraj wrote of the conflict between two killers visiting the same target.

HE DID NOT DO SO ON THIS NIGHT.

If Uraj just didn't write it, there's no way we can possibly be expected to make use of the information we have.

Therefore, I'm left to conclude that CG is our SK.

The serial killer only attempts a kidnapping every other night, on the evens. On night 6, he attempted a kidnapping on LozHinge, but fails because the mafia shot LoZ. On night 8, Asrrin goes missing.

Night 7 we see Ivan target TC because he's sending either his defunct kit or fake message, but there is no kidnapping attempt. So Uraj doesn't mention it in the story.

We are also meant to believe that my "false message passing" registers with a tracker - erm no how about item passing registers with a tracker!

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

Also, night two absolves me from being the kidnapper. I watched over TC that night, and saw Asrrin target him. This was never disputed, and was in fact confirmed by Asrrin before our wagon started in on him.

This is the same night that Leopold goes missing. How could I watch over TC all night and still perform a kidnapping upon Leo? Short answer: I can't, so I'm not the SK.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

One other thing.

It appears that the SK had a kill ability every other day (as others have already said).

You viewed KI on night 4 but he had no activity. Is that correct?

I haven't entirely ruled out CGB after further thinking. He's been the least challenged outside of myself as I have no information to offer.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

So you could only see people that visited them?

You weren't watching them?

If they did something you'd get a big nothing for the night?

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

Just for reference, I have like 6 windows open trying to reference all this stuff night by night and there's got to be a better way.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

So you could only see people that visited them?

Correct. I had to guess at who might be the mafia's targets each night in order to get a good result. Some times my guesses were bad, and I didn't see anything (basically, any night where I reported nobody visited someone). Other nights, I guess correctly, and get some information.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

And you never visited someone that wasn't there then when you arrived?

We have the rest of tomorrow to finish this.

I'm going to request that we leave the day running until midnight est. I'm taking the little one and the missus to the beach tomorrow and this is the most important day of the entire game. I can't think anymore so I'm out for the night.

If you can't extend, I will do my best to be home and make my posts.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

Extended Day would seem unfair also, but I would like one too if possible.

Interesting points here. Krazey's abilities have been patterned to be used only on nights when the SK is "off". Coincidence? Not too sure yet.

What and that's my fault? How about no response is a negative result, how about uraj forgot to tell TC there is any number of reasons my role desc does not describe how results are returned to whoever uses the kit.

You sound pretty irate and defensive. Cal brings up good points, as one would expect a "negative" result back at least. However, doesn't really add too much suspicion.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

I'll think about an extension, but I expect it will probably stay the same, 4:20 EST.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

So right now, we have two circumstances:

1) SK with Watcher Abilities - Looked over Cal's claims, and didn't really see much information that were contradicting. Can you explain some (or all) of the choices of your targets? I'm particularly interested in the first couple of nights (excluding night 1).

2) SK with the ability have moderators send false PMs of inventions? - Seems like a crazy powerful skill to be honest...though the person who receives the PM doesn't know who sent it, once claimed, the receiver is almost convinced to be townie. Not sure if such a powerful SK role would be implemented. Maybe though.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

Lots of typos in the above post, sorry, in a rush. I'm going with my instinct.

Vote: Caluin Graye

If I don't return in time, I'd ask you to hold of your lynch lock vote until the last minute Zarni.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

S1) SK with Watcher Abilities - Looked over Cal's claims, and didn't really see much information that were contradicting. Can you explain some (or all) of the choices of your targets? I'm particularly interested in the first couple of nights (excluding night 1).

Night 1: I watched over CgB because I figured someone would make a play for one of the two new guys. Watching myself is counter-productive.
Night 2: TC had just claimed a power role, and I figured mafia might try to take him out. (This is the contradictory night; everyone is working on the assumption that the SK has an ability that operates on a different night than his kidnappings. Since I watched TC and saw Asrrin, I could not have snatched up Leo).
Night 3: Random watch, nobody was really looking like a good target.
Nights 4 and 5: Ivan had just claimed "big project", and I figured he would be a good target for the mafia, so I wanted to catch them in the act. Night 4 was a bust, but night 5 gave me Asrrin.

The important thing to look at is night 2. If I can't watch when I'm kidnapping, then how can I see Asrrin target TC while snatching Leo? I can't. Me watching over TC puts me elsewhere that night, but Ivan has no alibi for that evening. He has no alibi for any night that the kidnapper struck.

How do you figure that a serial killer with the ability to create false messages every other night is more powerful than a serial killer that has the watcher ability every night?

Since we're getting to that time:

I believe CgB to be town. If I hadn't seen him target himself night 1, it'd be different, but I'm positive he's our doctor.

I believe Zarniwoop to be town. If he turns out to be SK, then his credibility is shot forever, and I will push for a lynch on him every single game he plays in from here on out just out of principal. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

That leaves KI and myself, and I know I'm town.

Vote: Krazeyivan

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

Very well. If there's no time to extend, I must go with a gut reaction as we're already late getting out the door. I simply don't have time today to track down the final inconsistency.

Vote:KrazeyIvan

The sole reason for this is that CG called CGB's target before CGB announced it. Could he have crafted this list? Yes. But, I have a 50/50 split between them as I never got a chance to re-read the thread due to time constraints.

Blame me if you like if we lose, but that's the best I can do with zero time.

Fingers crossed and see you late tonight.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

I think it's somewhere around 50/50 too, and Krazey's alibi is a bit less solid. I've been suspicious of Cal the whole game, so my vote/instinct might be biased. Here goes nothing.

Unvote: Caluin Graye
Vote: Krazeyivan

Cal, if you're SK...well played. Actually, Krazey played a pretty tough game too, most of us seemed pretty convinced of his role.

Re: Ravenwood Retreat Mafia Game.

Day has ended, Krazeyivan will be lynched.

It's not an easy decision, but eventually you decide on Krazeyivan. You bind him and drag him off to the courtyard. For perhaps the final time, you commence with the hanging.

As you near Krazeyivan's room, you hear muffled sounds emanating from it. You quickly barge into the room, there you find Asrrin restrained on a bed writhing in agony. It seems another of Krazeyivan's experiments did not go as planned. CoolguyBad checks Asrrin out but there's nothing he can do that will save him now. Deciding that Asrrin has suffered enough at Krazeyivan's hands, CoolguyBad gives him an injection of morphine to ease his passing. Within an hour, Asrrin expires.

Searching Asrrin's pockets you discover many different I.D.s. Each one contains a picture of him and a different occupation. You decide to check out his room to discover more. Inside Asrrin's room you find all the assorted tools a forger would need to conduct his trade.

Krazeyivan was a Mad Scientist (Serial Killer, Forensic Kits)
Asrrin was a Mafia Forger (Framing, Redirection)

CoolguyBad was the Doctor and has survived to endgame.
Caluin Graye was the Investigative Reporter(Watcher) and has survived to endgame.
Zarniwoop was just another City Slicker(VT) and has survived to endgame.

Town has won the game!
