Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

The files are being saved in your AppData folder instead of your "Program Files" folder, because of the UAC issue mentioned above.

Look for your character at:
C:/Users/<username>/AppData/Local/VirtualStore/Program Files/Diablo II
* substitute your username for Windows for <username>
** Use "Program Files (x86)" if you're OS is 64-bit

Your character should be in the "save" folder there. I'm not sure if she can be altered by GoMule by pointing there. This is the primary reason for installing Diablo II outside of the Program Files folder -- avoiding the VirtualStore issues.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

A rudimentary search didn't turn up anything, so I thought I'd ask this question.

I made the mistake of socketing incorrectly, is there a way to undo it using ATMA? I seem to recall something with the backup files. Thanks a lot.

This is technically not allowed to be done here. If you find it you will be able to do it, but we are unable to help you with that due to forum policy.

Please do not think ill of the policy.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

I've noticed that GoMule is not taking into account the set bonuses when showing stats,

ie: If my Sorc is wearing (for example) a full set of Cathan's Traps, she should be getting +25 Res all for the set, + 10 res all for the staff (3 items) +25 LR for 3 items + 30 FR for the Body armour (3 items) + 25 CR for the helm.
That should be +35PR, +60LR, +60CR and +65 FR, which is what shows ingame
cathansforgomule1.jpg
My Sorc is only wearing Cathan's Rule in that SS so there are no other items to take into account.
However, the Gomule stats show:
Name: Morgana
Class: Sorceress
Experience: 74529
Level: 11

Naked/Gear
Strength: 35/45
Dexterity: 25/25
Vitality: 35/35
Energy: 35/35
HP: 100/109
Mana: 55/125
Stamina: 109/109
Defense: 6/141
AR: 75/125

Fire: 40/0/-60
Cold: 35/-5/-65
Lightning: 10/-30/-90
Poison: 10/-30/-90

MF: 37 Block: 9
GF: 0
FR/W: 0
FHR: 10
IAS: 0
FCR: 0
so it's missing a lot. More than I thought actually.

It's got the MF wrong, should be 25 for the Ammy set bonus, not 37. The Merc is wearing a 3os Flawed Topaz armour and a 2os chipped topaz helm for 57 MF so it's not that influencing the MF figure.

It seems to have picked up the Str, def and FHR bonus, but not the FCR, mana or AR either.

Is this a known issue?

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

@ Dark Matter. Yes the set bonuses is known. Silo + maths = ph41l which is a very well known issue. :D

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

Thanks for the lightning fast feedback :)

It's odd that it picks up some of the partial set bonuses, but not the full set. Does Atma do it correctly?

Also, the link in the OP to Silo's Run counter takes you to the Gomule Sourceforge page, but I can't find a run counter as part of GoMule (unlike the Drop Calc which is easy to spot). Am I missing something?

Not at all. Thanks for the clarification.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

last evening i decided to start a necro without all the mistakes in the current build im using. I went to my endless stash in ATMA i believe it was called ITEMZ or some such thing. I transfered an item or 2 and then the program informed me that there had been some kinda error and needed to shut down so im like /shrug np ill just reboot then resume my project. Unfortunatly the thing appears to have deleted all 200plus items, gems, runes and every other thing that existed in there! Hell im not that doomed in that ive never even seen an soj or a high end item drop but i did have ALOT of neat trinkets in there and was wondering in this is a common occurence, im running v1.13c I also just returned to playing around a month ago after a 9 year break, also im running win 2k

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

I've been away for along time and just installed atma fresh for 1.13. Can someone please explain was this means "Index of /D2stuff/PDFs/ATMA/ATMA for 1.13c/MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE THE PATH OF ATMA BEFORE SAVING"?

I'm sure this has been answered before, but I would appreciate a response that answers my question. I started a new character the other day and muled off some chippies and rares but nothing saved in atma and I'm guessing this is the reason why. Thanks for the help.

Are you using windows 7 or vista? If so that might explain the problems you have with saving the character. ATMA does not have the 'permission' to change anything in the Diablo II folder. Your best bet, if you have win7 or vista, is to move the ATMA and Diablo II folder outside of the 'Program Files' folder into say your 'my documents' folder. Starting in windows vista MS decided to improves security for the program files folder along with others. So programs can only change files inside of the folders they have 'permissions' to change.

For the other OSes there should be no problem with saving in ATMA. If this is happening in XP please explain how it is not saving. Is it saying its saving, but when you reopen it the items are not there or it refuses to save and gives some error?

Thanks for the quick response. Using your answer I was able to find a solution. I do have Vista on this laptop (win7 on my other and I like it much more, which still isn't that much) so it actually had the folder as a read-only. I have a separate folder on my desktop just for gaming files and programs so it was never in program files but it was still read only. I just had to go to properties, uncheck read-only, click continue/grant permission 6 times and viola, a working atma. Thanks for your help Ladvarian

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

Having some readout and display issues with ATMA.

When I'm using ATMA I can only see a very small portion of the interface window and resizing it is not possible. Not sure if this is due to Windows 7 or my HD monitor but I didn't have this problem on previous computers.

Also I don't think my readouts are working. Does anyone have tips on troubleshooting ATMA stash readouts, because right now I can only copy paste each item by hand.

Thanks in advance

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

Say, I have a question about GoMule's drop calculator. It states that the probability of finding a Skin of the Vipermagi from Griswold and The Smith is at a fixed 0.020788..., regardless of MF, player settings and group size. Is this correct? Seems like there's something off here.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

EDIT: Direct isn't actually spelled dirext found and fixed. No more RWM problem

I'll bet you its wrong. Just check out the German drop calculator (ie:ingame - I'm not going to give a link in case Thy does not want it here, just google drop calc and ingame) and it lists the drops as different. It might not change for the players setting since they are super unique monsters. Super unique monsters always drops the same amount of items regardless of the payers setting. As for the MF it does change on the German calculator. This calculator is a lot more easier to use than the GoMule or ATMA calculator and is up to date for 1.13c. I suggest using that instead for now.

Also to quote Thy if I may, that is unless Silo did not program the drop calculator. :scratchchin: :whistling:

Problems installing RWM

Okay so I'm trying to download the RWM and everything is fine until it tells me what do I want to open RWM with. What should I use to open it? Or should I just save the file into my Diablo II folder?

Just thought I should add I haven't played in forever and I'm now gonna play single player just to have some fun. Haha.

Also, let me know if anything doesn't work with this latest patch or whatever, I want to play single player right now starting Dec 11 2010.

Also I'm a forum hardcore noob so I have no idea about anything.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

Hi everyone, I used to scour these forums for any bit of help back in my diablo days and it's good to know I can always come back when the diablo crave kicks in. After not having played in over 2 years, my room-mate and I are giving it another go for old times sake. We're in need of desperate help though due to a stupid small problem I'm sure all of you are sick and tired of hearing of....RWM installation issues. There's nothing more annoying than completely halting your gameplay because of a little nagging issue that should be simple to install, but always has complications.

I'll lay it out as plain and simple as I can...

RWM isn't anything new to me, in fact, the installation setup and guide both seemed very familiar and I followed every step down to a tee...again, and again, and again and with any small minor changes that would turn my gemmed polearm into an insight, but every attempt seems futile.

I'm aware there's lot's of little things that could mess this up, but at this point I really just give up and that's why you're hearing my pathetic last plea for help.

I have the latest patch downloaded, I unzip'd the file correctly, I had it in the correct folder, i had -direct -txt in the target line just like it's supposed to be, along with "Runewords" folder referenced in the start-in line correctly well, and all of this was under a short-cut from the original desktop icon for d2.

All of this frustration stemmed from a failed insight I tried to make. It was a polearm so I didn't mess up on that I know, but one thing I'm not sure of is if the item changes to the desired runeword after the RWM installation "correctly" works. (i.e-when I open a new game after it FINALLY works will my gemmed polearm now be an insight or do i simply have to re-make it?

I've just tried every single thing I can and now I seek the wisdom of the forum gods. If ya can help, PM me, just don't tell me to go back to page 1 of this thread and follow the guide because it's not working for me, plain and simple.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

I can't install RWM because 7-Zip can't open the .7z archive (RWMfor113c.7z). All I get is a pop-up saying "Incorrect command line". This is after uninstalling and re-installing 7-Zip, and downloading RWM multiple times. Same thing every time.
