My last d2 character (Nova sorc)

Well, i don't play d2 much anymore, bought a ps3 and school is back in full swing but i wanna build one last character. A nova sorc. Might as well go big or go home!

This is what realistic ally afford.
Any advice would be appreciated,

Infinity Pole (light)

CoH (resistances/ Skills)
rare boots (resistances)

Mage Fists (FCR/ Mana regen/ Warmth)

From Gear i get:
+14 all/Sorc skills
40% fcr
+1 fire skills
~100 all res

Skills:
20 Nova
20 Thunderstrom (don't even suggest not doing this, lol)
20 Light mastery
20 Meteor
1 warmth
1 fire master
Rest prereqs
93 pts used @ lvl 81

I want to go light/fire coz it is rarely done, and i have done light/ice so many times. Also, notice i didn't include any skill charms, i left that open because im honestly not sure how many i can afford after i get all this gear assembled (not sure what i have left, im not super wealthy). My main play strat will be meteor and tele into the battle whille spaming nova and while thunderstorm rains down. Kinda a fire and brimstone type of thing!

Not enough fcr. Not nearly enough. 105 is necessary.

Shako > Griffons, or a 2sk 20 fcr. You will need this. A 2sk 20 fcr circlet to start atleast. Doesn't need to be a super thing. Just 20 fcr 2 sk.
CoH > Vipers more fcr... you will need this.

This mean... 50 more fcr with 20 from arach and 20 from vipers.

If you use Griffons you will need 1 fcr ring. Without it, you'll need 2x10 fcr rings...And they are necessary, because everything else is too bloody slow.

20 Thunderstrom (don't even suggest not doing this, lol)

I'll not suggest not using it. It's useless for both PvM and PvP. Only njuwbies without any gear will be killed by this, and if your inspiration to play PvP is in killing njuwbs with even more ease, this is the perfect skill. at higher levels it will kill strike at 1.8/sec.

Make sure you got Blaze and fire walls too, they'll go nicely with the theme

You are of course not super wealthy, but I think they are necessary adjustments. If you really can't handle it, I guess 63% bp is acceptable... but you'll not go out in any big way. Just in a slow way.

i d get griffon, for +1all skills ( applies to BO and BC ) 25 fcr, -20elr and +15lighting damage, socket it with perfect lighting facet.

vipers got 30 fcr um it and you ll get resistance of +50 ( if base is perfect.. )
thats 55% fcr
arach: 75%
trang's 95% ( trangs for moar cold resistance )
fcr ring with bazillion mods. and you got 105 fcr bp ( teleport and nova bp that is )
soj
crescent moon + jmod 4 lighting sockets ( try to get that :whistling: )
silks
mara or any other nice amulet ( 2sorc/10fcr/add would mean you could have 2 soj's, or 3 lighting skills 10 fcr amulet, pretty sexy )

inventory:

blah blah blah, torch, anni, skillers, lifers/mana or all res charms/fhr blah blah blah

Why not Abs/Shield soso ?
Those are the most funny Sorceres ever made on earth !
Max Energy Shield (or 10pointed)
Max Telekinesses (Synergies ES don't ask)
Max Nova and Charged Bolts
So many you can in Warmth
1point each frost skills armor for the extra add from it, can help alot

Didn't have time to count those skill points =p

Spirit Mon
Hoto for +3 skills and some regain
Griffon or good Sorc circ like they other said; 20fcr 2sk
2x Fcr rings with MANA alot of it or 2x Sojs for more mana
Frostburn gloves
Boots; I got no idea Maybe some mana add and resi's
Ammy would be Mara's ofc or some Rare insane +2sk +fcr and bunches of energy/mana
Arach belt ofc
Chest I must say Viperskin, resi and fcr

With this gear setup you should actually do the thing people avoid to do, put point in Energy, Actually enough for gear, enough Vitality for 500-1000 life after your choice, rest ? ENERGY

I ended up with an 2k life and 4.6k mana ES sorc after Bo'd forgot what it was before though

It's simple fight, you only die when your mana is down which is nearly impossiple cause of insane max mana and mana regain
And what skill ? Teleport into target -> Spam Nova -> Write; "<- WiN" -> Go town untill next person asks for duel :jig:
Against melee chargers ? Teleport so they aim you, charged bolt when to the direction they will come to, it can most likely kill a Smiter if they aren't carefull, versus barb you need to tele around and charged bolt everywhere and if he gets close nova close to the Swirling pumped man

If don't want to try this, don't
Your build seem ok balanced but Meteor ? I would rather go with Hydra for autoshooting versus trappers

in pvp Rawness suggesting is way better then yours pVq, in pvm where merc with infi allowed, my suggesting is way better then yours pVq ( no offence )

after bo you should look more round 1.2k-1.5k ( real threat is poison and OW )

with your gear suggestings, i wonder what bo you got? i cant recall seeing nova sorc with 1.5k+ life and 3.5k+ mana ...

Thanks for the suggestions, i think i should have mentioned that this will mainly be a PvM character. So with that in mind i was planning on using the infinity to break immunities. I realize i need the FCR with nova so i have made some modifications to gear.

Rare boots (got a great pair with lots of fire, cold, light res)

BO/Spirit

I plan on using a merc as i won't be doing a ton of dueling, he'll be carrying insight for mana. I didn't want to go ES route because of the HUGE amount of mana that nova needs once you really get spamming it. That is another reason i had chose to use lightening, i know it don't do any huge damage, but what it does do it hit things out of range of nova, has a cheap casting cost, and with conviction aura present it does pack more of a punch. Plus its ****ing cool looking! Meteor just seemed like a good fit, being an area of effect skill that went along well with the theme of the build.

The strategy is BO, through a few meteors down, teleport in and spam nova till everything is dead. The only issue is how do i heal? Loot pots?

None taken but I didn't say that I DIDN'T use Charms did I ?
I stacked alot of Mana and/or life charms
