The Certain Death Tournament.

Re: The Certain Death Tournament.

Durance of Hate was good for rune finds - two Shaels and an Amn.

Scary sight on Durance 3: Conviction Bremm Sparkfist. But as luck would have it, I got all three of the minions back to the first room without Bremm. Dim them, and they were easy kills for Iantha. Spraky himself wasn´t so bad, as I kept the distance from him, and him Decrepified.

It got a little hairy when I tried to arrange the moat trick poistions vs Mephisto. He followed us back and I had to doulbe back and out again. But eventually, I managed. It took us around 30 minutes to whittle down Mephisto. When Morte´s mana had returned to almost full, he´d empty it with 6-7 Bone Spirits. Constant Amping as well. Nothing cool in his drop.

When Act IV started, I realized that this is going to take a long time. I drew the three biggest monster types, Venom Lords, Corpulents and Flesh Spawners. I went back to Act II and bought Balanced Knives of Vileness from Fara. I felt a need for this because Morte´s poison only lasts 3 seconds and besides, the Venom Lords are poison immune. I used these daggers on almost every monster on the Steppes. When I had cleared the perimeter and about 1/3 of the rest, my whole computer froze. Bummer. I figured I would gain too much XP if I were to clear the Steppes again (after all, I think I had killed all the boss packs) so I simply gave up the remaining wealth/items.

Plains of Despair meant much faster killing, because the monsters were less sturdy. I did get Corpulents again, but this time along with Doom Casters and Burning Souls. I had brought two special tools to speed up the Izual fight: newly crafted Blood gloves and a 'Strength' Flail. The plan was to use Bone Prison and hit Izzy from outside it. Turns out his range was just as good as mine. But with Thawing potions help, Decrepify and Bone Armor, he was not so painful to tank. Even on /p8, it was a reasonably quick fight.

Things were going pretty well, until the last stretch of the perimeter clearance. Iantha was shooting at a Dimmed Soul, and I moved a bit to move her so she wouldn´t fire into pillars so much. I knew I was entering "new" territory, and I was prepared to move sideways to dodge lightning shots from Souls. A pack of 3-4 showed up, and I think I dodged all but one of those shots. However, I had not noticed another Soul pack (3-4) that I apparently had woken up at the same time. They were in the direction my dodge move took me, so I got hit by all their initial shots. Turns out it was at least one shot too much for Morte´s 335 life and 50% resistance.

Oops.

(Btw, this is the first time I´ve died in Act IV since v1.09 was the current patch!)

[Highlight]Destroyer Morte the Mojo/Bonemancer and Iantha the Cold Rogue, level 65, NM Plains of Despair, R.I.P.[/Highlight]

GL to all of you with characters still standing. I am extremely impressed by those who have made it to Hell difficulty. I mean, Act V NM is no picknick even for strong non-wacky characters.

I wish I had made it there, becuase I think the ranged attackers and large open spaces would have suited us fine. Also, there would have been lots of chances to improve Iantha´s gear there. She was never quite "flying", if you know what I mean. My HF rune would have been very interesting. A Lem and I could´ve made Trachery for her, an Um and I could´ve made Duress. And at level 74, it would have been time to imbue Elite bows.

I need a D2 break for some time now. I am not sure if I am going to reenter this tourney, because I am not at all comfortable with low-life characters. If I do re-enter, I will play a Berserker Barbarian with Defiance merc. Just because Morathi doesn´t think it will work...

Re: The Certain Death Tournament.

Bummer Jiansonz :(.

Sad to see Morte go down after such good progress!

I am very impressed that you managed to get as far as you did with what seems like a challanging character.

Hopefully you can give this tourney another crack and try and avenge Morte?

PS. If you are going to enter with a Zerker Barb, why would you go for a Defiance merc?

Re: The Certain Death Tournament.

Well with the demise of Morte (:(, R.I.P), i feel motivated to try and avenge him, along with my other 5(?) dead characters in this tourney haha (specifically, Drake, Act 2 NM, Arcane Sanc!!!! That is my goal).

I just started up a Zon, by the name of Alice, as we all know. I stated that in her intro post, she would be a Valk/something Amazon. Well now after some thought, her future is no longer clouded. She will primarily focus on the Valkyrie, trying to make it as buff and as strong as possible, while helping out with high level Guided Arrow, 1 point FA for chill/corpse disposal, and Lighting Fury for some crowd demolishing. She is progressing through Act 1 right now and is going strong. I will update more formally when/if she completes the act.

I have decided to give Alice some company though, in the form of an Assassin by the name of Aisha. I don't normally have 2 characters running at the same time, let alone in the same tournment, BUT! i am really excited about Aisha's build. She will be a Thrower Assassin, utilizing high level Mind Blast for stun/conversion, high level Venom, Death Sentry for mainly CE and CoS for safety and -% defence. She will most likely be aided by a Might merc, however i am not quite sure on this yet....i might even go with a Barb merc :scratchchin:, we shall see. If i am lucky with item drops, Aisha could be in with a chance!

I will get started on Aisha and progress further into Act 1 with Alice. I will try and focus on one of my two gals. But i might play them both interchangeably. I also have a Druid in the Yellow Bellies Tourney! :whistling: I better get crackin

Re: The Certain Death Tournament.

RIP Morte!

That's a terrible break, it sure doesn't take much for death to occur in this tourney! Your patience to get as far as you did is impressive.

As for Britta, she cleaned out the cows without incident or interesting find. She swapped out a bit of gear to improve her resists for NM, but still packs 205% MF. I'd like to switch out her armor as well, (the 3 chippy ring mail is well past it's expiration date) but I might wait until 4 socket armors become available (Anyone know when these are first shoppable?) Mentioning sockets, she did find a 4 socket crystal sword already. I'm not currently using rwm for my HC chars, but I might revise depending on what happens with 1.13, so it went into the stash. She cleared the first couple of areas of NM now including Cold Crow's cave, Blood Raven and her tombs. Interesting finds: Milebrega's crown, general's tan do li ga.

Britta, lvl 49 trapsin, NM stoney field.

Re: The Certain Death Tournament.

RIP Morte. I had convinced myself that this character would make Guardian :(

This dropped for WitherBow, the MS/FA Bowazon in NM Barracks. I was just starting to consider my Blood Crafting options for the belt, don't think I'll bother now.

I cannot believe that this has dropped for my li'l girl. Madness. :)

Re: The Certain Death Tournament.

@Loz Wow, awesome find. 100% Pierce (w/ lvl 9 in the skill) + FA is really great

Also: RIP Morte. I had begun to think of him as a sure Guardian. But I guess in this tournament only one thing is certain...
Sidenote: I don't think Treachery on the merc is allowed. The ctc Fade (which counts the same as regular Fade) gives 60 res all and only 50 is allowed for the merc (from equipment). Not that it matters now...

I've continued playing a bit with Enchilada and just reached Lower Kurast (full clears on /p7 so far). Best find/gamble: 2os/34mf circlet (which I promptly ruined by socketing a crap rare jewel and a flawed topaz).
Full update after the next s&e, i.e. probably on reaching A4 (fingers crossed).

Re: The Certain Death Tournament.

What? Page 2? Inconceivable!

Micro update: Andariel was vanquished after she ate too many Valks, and Radament has gone the same way.
A Manald dropped but isn't being used as yet - the Mana would be helpful, though.

Two Blood crafts so far:

Code:
Ghoul Hand >>> very nice

Item Level: 54

+11 to Life
+100% Enhanced Defense
Lightning Resist +28%
3% Life stolen per hit
8% Chance of Crushing Blow

Blood Visage >>> can be improved

+16 to Life
2% Life stolen per hit
5% Deadly Strike
14% Chance to cast Level 5 Charged Bolt when struck

Gloves, Circlet and Amulet totalling +5 to Valk provides for a Level 10 Valkyrie (12 when a Skill shrine is handy). This saves me a few points on the skill plan, thankfully!

Oh, and the Razortail is awesome! :)

Re: The Certain Death Tournament.

To prevent any undue suspense: Enchilada has reached Harrogath :alright:

Act III started out promising (but the amulet turned out to be a Nokozan...). Gambling picked up though and yielded this mf gem and a nice circlet for "regular" sorceresses.
Gameplay was surprisingly easy. The only nde's came from the Inferno attack of the shamans. Teleporting on top of them worked well enough though. The merc still did the most damage, but Enchilada did her best and managed to break the FSFOA twice. Neither Stormtree nor Sarina could frighten her into hiding. Endugu was nice enough to provide the Sigon Shield and a crappy rare ring.
In LK a Tal finally dropped for Stealth and the merc got the old Hawkmail for awesome cold res. Now I only have to find some monster that does huge cold damage...
Mephisto was quickly static-ed down and dropped more or less nothing. Full clear of the entire act on /p7.

Before starting A4, I went shopping for a decent base for Leaf (even though I was still lacking a Ral). Saw some nice sock'd staves, but I was obviously looking for another auto-mod... After some time I settled for this.

Apparently the game had been waiting for a decent base for Leaf in my stash because right out of the gate in A4, the Ral finally arrived. Nice damage boost.
Afterwards easy going on /p5 (still full clears). Great HF for once.
Big D was no trouble and provided a Nagelring.
Only one IM death for the merc (and none for Enchilada ;)). Telebombing the OKs was fun (if at times rather risky - not sure I have the right playstyle for this HC business :scratchchin:).

LCS entering Act V (w/ lvl 3 Shiver Armor, lvl 1 ES and prebuffed Ench ~lvl 20). I made Blood boots & gloves for the small life boost (both turned out crappy).

Re: The Certain Death Tournament.

WitherBow's luck in this tourney continues to be stellar.

A superior Cedar Bow, 4os ...
A couple of Sol runes that dropped earlier ...
A Ko has just dropped in Far Oasis

We have a Harmony bow, with +3 Valk and the LCS now says 347-945 damage on Normal Attack.

Bonkers. Now all I have to do is stay alive. The game has given me virtually everything I need ...

No pressure ... :)

Re: The Certain Death Tournament.

That is literally what I thought after finding WWS+Tgods+Ravenfrost and much more with my LFStrafeazon (not that early though). Hope you can do better than poor Soapbubble. In fact I expect you to do so. I'll just put the burden of avenging her on your shoulders

(Also: The Vigor aura on Harmony rocks. And: Yes, I'm a bit of an frw junkie...)

Edit: Enchilada laughs at Witherbows puny char screen damage (nevermind the skill shrine :whistling:). In other news: She just rescued Anya and gambled Naj's Circlet.

Re: The Certain Death Tournament.

:D
Those LCS damage numbers aren't much different from WitherBow's when she's under the influence of a Combat Shrine. ;)

Rune and Ruby luck has been good. I've (blood) crafted a helm, gloves and some plate mail armour (to replace the 60MF topazed Breast Plate, once survival becomes trickier). No boots will match the Cow King's though, unless they be tri-resist uber-boots. The belt slot is also taken.

Soapbubble will be avenged (if it takes me a hundred MS/FA zons!).

Re: The Certain Death Tournament.

Great equipment Loz!

and nice progress once again scrcrw.

and RIP Morte :(

# --

The temples were cleared without any problems and then on to act 4. Hello!

On reaching the plains of despair I saw the first of the three types of critter was finger mages and the second type was (er, I can't remember actually, but not gloams). Could we be lucky? Nope, there are the streams of lightning. Actually, it was pretty good they showed up. It meant that I had to keep awake and dodging, not going too far into unexplored territory and the life bubble kept draining away. So we're not invulnerable. After a particularly arduous battle this was last enemy left standing.

The city of the damned had a lot of damned which also required some work. They often liked to stay out of warcry range and spit their lightning balls in which stung a lot. Once I hit the waypoint I went shopping to upgrade the two +1 barb skills weapons I had on switch. 45 minutes later with a berserker's (+2 barb skills) war sword and an echoing (+3 warcries) kris, post BO life is up to 730 (in full MF gear with the exception of Sander's gloves) and find item can now be cast at slvl7. Why not two echoing weapons? I'd miss the faster run/walk speed on switch.

Oh, and my goodness, I never want to see Maggots and Grotesques on the River of Flame at the same time again. It took ages (main strategy, taunt + warcry and hundreds of mana potions)

Hephasto was easy - just bash him into a wall. With the shael that dropped earlier, all I need is an um from hell forge for Crescent Moon. Annndddd... it's a Hel. Oh well.

Re: The Certain Death Tournament.

jian, NOO! R.I.P. Sigh. That's the thing about this tournament...one bad luck step and you can be dead instantly. By the way, which sounds scarier -- a tournament with life and loose summon/merc restrictions like this one, or a tournament where you can get as much life as you want, but no merc, summon, or shield? Didn't all of your tournament sept characters have shields(and big summons, where available)? That's an idea I've had bouncing in my head for a while. I'd call it the "Exposure Tournament." The rules would be alot simpler than this one, which is a plus.

By the way, your Ruined Temple battle was wonderful to read about. I wish I could see videos of you playing. :) I've made some slight progress on my Randomly Challenged character. I think I've been rather bored by her since I'm making my rogue kill everything and her DPS is so low. Maybe I will make an IthIthIth bow.

Morathi, heh, two characters at once? Awesome. Thanks for joining yet again. ;)

scr, don't forget your invisible Fire Mastery boost when attacking in melee! I bet your damage is significantly higher than displayed. ;)

Loz, nice bow, man! Too bad you didn't have a 4s Double Bow drop earlier, but still, a Cedar Bow has decent speed.

kav, I love seeing a Barb get so far in this tournament. Nice progress, bro! Is your barb basically a support hero? If so, perhaps you should gamble him a Swiss Army Knife (a set of rare Balanced Knives with charges of a useful curse, poison damage, prevent monster heal, knockback, high elemental damage, 'Fool's' mod, monster flee, perhaps some other useful mods).

Re: The Certain Death Tournament.

I think I'm overdue for an update, but I'm busy playing.

However, I do want to show you guys this.
Yes... I just found a 3rd Kelpie Snare. This one was a slight %ED improvement over my other 2, but still! What the hell is going? I've found more Kelpie Snares than I have Cathan's or Isnhert's pieces!

Re: The Certain Death Tournament.

Well R.I.P. to Morte! It's sad to see you leave the tournament jiansonz. You & your HC characters have always sort of been a role model/hero type figure to me.

Sorry for the double post, but I thought someone else would have posted by now, guess not.

I think my last proper update was in Act 5 NM. Work has slowed down a bit since then, so I've made some progress. Act 5 NM wasn't too bad. The quest for Anya was filled with souls, and it was stressful, but we survived. I cleared the first 2 levels on the way to Nihlathak, but didn't actually go down to the 3rd level near him. I'm pretty sure a /players 5 CE pop would have killed me.

I opened all the Evil Urns I found along the way, but there were a couple that gave me grey hairs... "should I open this?" "No." "But I want to!" *open* "Eeeep!"

I drank some Thawing pots, and spread around some other potions for the battle with the Ancients, but ended up not needing any of them. AlreadyDead didn't take one single hit during the battle, and Haseen only needed 1 healing potion. They were defeated.

Baals minions died without event, and Baal himself died without much event either, except for a clone, which died even more quickly.

AlreadyDead becomes a Conqueror.

Her stats upon entering hell.
After re-gearing.

At this point I realized I had forgotten the NM cows, so I took off a bunch of charms/gear and returned to farm some beef. I was hoping for some charms/runes, but found nothing useful there. I did however find this Duriel's Shell, which is kind of awesome, but Haseen can't wear it at the same time as carrying the Kelpie Snare (too much fire resist).

After re-re-gearing, we charged into Hell. Haseen is now noticeably fragile against unique monsters. We had trouble in the Crypt, when I TP'd out to sell some stuff... After taking the TP back into the Crypt I found myself standing quite stuck in the middle of a broken grave. AlreadyDead could not run or move even a pixel in any direction. I was chatting on MSN at the time, so I basically ignored her for 2 hours, coming back every now and then to click around the screen and see if she could free herself - no luck. Eventually I tried casting a TP to see if I could return to town... and that worked perfectly. When I returned down the same TP, she was no longer stuck in the middle of a grave, and the journey continued (Yay!). However, being stuck in the middle of a grave for 2 hours could possibly be an omen of things to come!

I found a new +life small charm, which is a plus 5 life improvement over the one I was currently wearing (the +mana is just gravy!)

We started into the Tower this afternoon when my brother called. Next I decided to phone my parents. The game was paused for about 3 hours, and when I returned I finished off what was left of the Tower level 2. I wasn't paying proper attention, my mind was still off elsewhere, thinking about conversations I'd had on the phone, etc. When I entered the Tower level 3 I found this. At that point my brain was quickly jarred back into the game, but it wasn't thinking properly!!

My brain froze up, and I was thinking "holy ****, what do I do now?", and my brain came back at me and said "CoS!, Screenshot, and then MindBlast!" My fingers fumbled... Which button was CoS again? I found that, took the screen shot, and then about 0.0005 seconds later, Haseen took a dirt nap. I panicked and ran for the stairs, missclicked on my first try, but made it up on the second try... At that point I went to find some new underwear.

Had I been thinking clearly, the battle should have gone much smoother:
CoS, Mindblast, Mindblast, Mindblast, trap, trap, trap, flee through the gap between the archers and boss back, Mindblast, Mindblast. By that point, DS would have taken control of the situation. Had I been thinking clearly, I'd be telling you about what kind of rune the countess dropped... stupid phone conversation, bah!

I thought there was a chance I could go back, CoS, and flee around the monsters to a safer place, where I could begin laying traps and clearing things up. I re-hired Haseen and debated what to do. I decided I had to at least go back in and see if there was a chance. We TP'd back to Tower level 2 and I poked my nose down the stairs. It was complete and total ****ing chaos!! The monsters had completely swarmed the stairs after I left the first time. there was no way of moving or hiding or dodging... AAAAHHHHHH!!!

We did however manage to flee back up the stairs again. I think I'd taken 1 or 2 hits, and had very little health left.

So AlreadyDead & Haseen are still alive. But it doesn't look like we will be completing the Countess quest. I can't get back to the Tower level 3 without breaking the single pass rule, and I couldn't have stayed on the Tower level 3 without being handed my deeds. Ah well, I guess you can't win them all.

Re: The Certain Death Tournament.

Yikes. I've done similar things, Hp. Usually you get one chance at beating a proper stair trap and I treat every underground stair way with a healthy respect.
Congratulations on making the right choice regarding Lvl3 Countess - I suspect I would not be able to overcome my full-clear obsession and would have deeded there in my attempt to get through.

Still, nothing like a couple of close shaves to focus the mind! :)

(That's some s/shot, btw!)

I must do a full update soon showing the (remarkable) gear WitherBow has acquired.

Re: The Certain Death Tournament.

WitherBow has bested Duriel and waits in Kurast Dock, catching her breath. Gameplay since acquiring, amongst other things, a beefy Valkyrie has been relatively safe, I mostly work on style points for lining up angles to hit the most monsters per shot. With a decent amount of Pierce (5 Skill Points plus Razortail), my Ice and Frozen Arrows create mayhem wherever they fly. Multi-Arrow is great in open areas for softening up enemies, but the mana cost is high. The Act was fully cleared at /Players5, except for Duriel at P1.

My first major worry in Act 2 was Fangskin. After much deliberation, I kept up the P5 setting and descended carefully. Frozen Arrow slaughtered everything in the room that had a tail. The Palace levels were dangerous but responded well to archery. The Arcane Sanctuary was like a shooting range, no trouble at all.

The false tombs were remarkably easy. One of the Horadric Ancients had fortified his position with urns - it reminded me of a General from the Napoleonic Wars placing his troops in square formations. Skeletons and Preserved Dead alike were shattered, the fortifications emptied. The penultimate tomb was the large one containing Ancient Kaa the Soulless. WitherBow has see enough Call of Duty Modern Warfare to know that sniping from cover is FTW. Throughout the Tombs, the Valk gave me plenty of warning if she was in trouble. I would pull her out and heal her in town if she got into the red ( I preferred this to re-casting as she derives no less than 5 Skill Points from pre-buff gear held in the stash).

Duriel had put one last obstacle in my way before I reached his ante-chamber. WitherBow managed to find a sweet-spot next to a wall and was untouched by the flames. The Valk of course shrugged them off like they weren't there. I was looking forward to the actual battle with Duriel, as I was certain he would be more interested in the Valk than me. This proved to be the case and is a very pleasant change from him ignoring the merc (due to the merc bug) and going all out against me! As it was, WitherBow didn't lose any health at all in the encounter, although the Valk bounced in and out of the yellow throughout. The only freaky moment was when Little D had knocked the Valk out of her comfort zone (ie too far away from me) - she duly came trundling back towards me with Duriel slivered and hot on her tail. No sweat, job done.

Skills

Code:
Cold Arrow 16
Ice Arrow 1
Frozen Arrow 1
Magic Arrow 1
Multiple Shot 10

IS, SM, Decoy 1
Valkyrie 9 (17 with Harmony & Pre-buff)
D/A/E 1
CS & Pierce 5
Penetrate 10

I continue to pump CA for the FA synergy, thus keeping my mana cost low.

Gear

Drops have been a bit special, I have to say. Particularly Rune and Ruby drops (and Gem Shrines)

Cedar Bow w/Harmony - the Ko rune from Far Oasis was a godsend.
Rainbow Amulet 11 ResAll
Blood Craft Helm w/ 25LRes
Blood Plate Mail w/ small tr-res (I have a better one ready for Hell)
Blood Heavy Gloves w/ 28LRes
Nagelring 25%
Rare Ring w/AR & FRes
Razortail Belt
Cow King's Heavy Boots
Pre-buff gear for Valk (+1 Ammy, +2 Circlet, +2 Gloves)

The Harmony rolled +4 to Valkyrie - so a max +3 for an Amazon. This pleases me greatly, as it saves me putting up to 2 extra hard points in the skill itself.

Other drops include: Angelic Halo ring, Arm of King Leoric, Bloodletter, Bonesnap (x2), Cathan's Seal (x5!), Gorefoot, Hel Rune (x4!), Io Rune, Sol Rune (x3), Nokozan, Stormeye, Undead Crown ... and many useful crafting runes.

My Inventory is completely full, I can only put stuff in the Cube or leave it lie. This is in part due to me not letting go of any Cold dam SCs - I have five in use (one with 7 FRes, nice). I have a 4MF SC.
Speaking of MF, it is currently 54%. It would be more but an inventory accident saw me lose my 60% MF Breast Plate - grrr.

LCS and such here ...

Re: The Certain Death Tournament.

kav, I love seeing a Barb get so far in this tournament.

Thanks dude! And yes, DeadTwo is pretty much a support hero, although his concentrate damage using the low damage General's still tops out at 400 with the might aura. Fully synergised slvl1 (+1 from bc) concentrate (from battle orders) adds 280% damage. I'm sure he could kill stuff on his own if we were not playing on p8! :)

So, why not buy a swiss army knife? Well, most of the effects you mention are available to DeadTwo already.

Monster Flee comes from Howl

Knockback comes from Bash - I use this against super dangerous critters, e.g. Hephasto and a champion pack of OKs in the chaos sanctuary that needed separating.

I have poison damage on a charm and Sander's gloves

I made a [highlight]Malice[/highlight] mace for prevent monster heal which also comes with open wounds and -def. I discovered how amazing this runeword was in the Sword of Destiny tourney. So far, I've rarely needed it mind you. Why a mace? Saves space in the stash!

General's really is an *awesome* weapon for this character. Tagging a dangerous critter immediately halves its attack (and run) speed. Adding battle cry takes more than 30% of damage away - that is practically half a decrep. Or I could use life tap and I'd still have slowing effect. You can't mix that with decrep. Nice eh?

I like the idea of a fools mod, but really, I don't need to hit every time for the slow to matter :) (I think the typical chance to hit is 55% or so).

Anyway, on with the story...

# --

My plan for the chaos sanctuary was to temporarily swap out Azrael for a merc, equip her with skystrike, drop down to p3 and blast through like a bat into hell. It didn't work out quite like that. The rogue plinked away at this Balrog boss for an age while I tried to duck and dodge his bad breath.

Okay, plan B. I went back to act 2 to see if Azreal was still available. Fortunately, he was, although he had forgotten a few tricks (he was lvl62). Sorry buddy, I won't lose the faith again. So, running past the first bit, and there is a hidden OK on the corner who iron maidened him and he dirtnapped instantly (I play without sound sadly). Hmmm... maybe I need a bit more care and attention. I rezzed him, sprinted past the OK and let off a warcry. Take that! Azrael got his man that time. A couple more dirtnaps and we made it through.

Is this the best find item ever? (Guillames - from De Seis or one of his minions) I'm not sure how it will fit into my gear at the moment though so it is stashed for later.

Diablo was pretty much candy. Just get life tap on him and stay at the opposite side to Azrael. The bad breath doesn't hit if you're at point blank range in nightmare. Refreshing the battle orders caused him to focus back on DeadTwo (all that shouting?) but wasn't a big deal. And his drop was rubbish - the ring is a cathan's of course. Which means that DeadTwo hasn't had a decent boss drop since Andy.

# --

I finally got my Cleg's from Eldritch. Why is that good? It gives 75% slow with the General's and as [HIGHLIGHT]hp_sauce[/HIGHLIGHT] has got all the Kelpie Snares, that's the only chance I've got!

Another unique from find item.

And here are the stats, going into the Arreat plateau.
