Melee Sorc, 5-35k Zeal Damage (Yes Zeal)

Hello, This is kind of a random build, but its nearly nice, needs some work.
I was messing around with auradin builds, using dream helm/sheild, Dragon, and Hoj. And noticed the zeal damage is SO poor. So i had this thought.

Melee Sorc. Based on a level 90, all skill quest, 101 points.

Fire Skill Tree:
1 Bolt
1 Ball
20 Warmth
20 Enchant
20 Fire Mastery

Lightning Skill Tree:
1 Charged Bolt
1 Lightning
1 Telekinises
1 Static Field
1 Nova
1 Chain Lightning
1 Tele
20 Light Mastery
---------------------

Total = 89
From there, put them in Thunder Storm.

Armor To Be Worn:

Dream Helm, Dream Sheild
Passion Phase Blade
Highlords (You need the IAS)
6 Fire Grand Charms
Sorc Torch
Anni
SoJ

Right There, Thats It. Thats right under 5k min damage, to 35k max.
Your Level Zeal + 1 skill from anni, 1 from highlords, 1 from soj = 4.

Level 4 Zeal = 5 Hits. (Perfect)

You could possible, take the Dream sheild away or helm, and replace, taking one of them away makes your damage 5k - 18k. Which could be more effiecient with different gear.

As for Armor?

Fortitude? CoH?
Id say Dragon, but dragon armor only adds about 300 Min damage.

Possible Use Bramble? And Throw in like 15 high damage poison SCs.
And rock out of trangs gloves for 25% more poison damage.

If you have a specific question, then just ask that. To answer your one question, CoH. +skills and big resists, your melee sorc needs them.

Dont post a guide for a build thats already well-known and established and try to claim it as your own idea....then get defensive when you realized that fact and act all dismissive towards the original... Especially when its not even that well thought out.

Here's some discussion: TS? Thats a PvP skill. You're doing 20k lightning damage per zeal, why do you need the extra couple thousand lightning damage from TS? Why not forget all the lightning spells except SF and sink the points into ES/TK and a cold armor for some defense, since you're a melee sorc? Or drop them along with some points out of Fire (since you're only doing ~5k fire damage compared to ~20k lightning) and getting FO as a backup skill for FI/LIs? Where's the rest of your gear, Highlords alone wont give you the IAS for max BP on zeal with a sorc? Why'd you even suggest going single-Dream for a dream zealsorc and losing half your damage? Stacking Dream is the whole point... What good would lots of PDSCs do you since poison damage gets reapplied every hit, and again, its insignificant compared to the lightning damage with Zeal? Why consider Fort, since your physical damage is negligible? What are you suggesting for replenishing life - again, since your physical damage and thus your leeching is negligble, even using Fort?

Just gracefully accept that your brilliant idea was one that we've all already stumbled across while playing with character builds, and go read the guide for it. People have put more time and thought into it than you have already, they've gone through all the questions you're going through, and they already figured out the best alternatives and solutions.

Personally, a sorc in bearform with a really fast weapon has better attack speed than a sorc with zeal/passion.

If you had the patience to do constant gear and skill charm swapping you can top over 70k damage with your melee attack.

Also, if you don't have alot of mana and don't bother with ES, investing in a cold armor would be better than wasting the time with a harmless T-storm.

Dual Dream Melee Sorc should be able to hit over 55k+ damage. You also need something like 65% ias for 10/7 frame Zeal which I think is the fastest you can get on a sorc. You are a vita build so where are your resists?

I found a Melee Sorc damn near impossible to play without a strong Energy Shield because you just can't get the life or the damage reduction to survive in close combat. Bugged mana burn is a problem you have to live with but on the whole I would much rather have ES than not have it.

Why are you using fire gcs and maxing warmth? The fire damage added from enchant is negligible. Use light gcs and you will hit over 55k easy.

Why need alot of damage reduction and life when you can kill pretty much anything with one hit, even andariel. I don't have alot of problems. Only situation I can't do is Lord de Seis. I can do it when I swap for my crossbow setup. If you have near maxed resists and using gaurdian angel and pumped dex your even more unstoppable. But getting maxed res with that is hard I bet.

Note: Im still missing 3 fire gcs and a using a shako as a prebuff instead of a 3 fire skills circlet. And Holy Fire only adds a meager 1000 extra dmg.

You will do hella more damage if u maxed out enchant. you can easily get up to 55+k damage like robobaby said

Maybe an Armor with 4 x 15 IAS jewels in it for fast zeal attack. And then add Bloodfist for extra 10 IAS.

That sounds suicidal.

CoH or Gaurdian angel would be the best choices possible. With that you'll not only have horrid res, but no blocking potential. The 160% ED is gana be of little use for your dmg anyways.

My bearsorc has no blocking and maxed res. Souls and stuff are harmless, but she gets torn apart by mobs of melee things and alot of the time I get cursed so I can switch to a ranged weapon when needed. Having no defense toward anything is gana be a bad thing.

If your good with your dmg and AR, you could use a merc with faith for speed. I'd only try that if your using Angel and pumped into dex for max block though.

^ could always be 15 IAS 15 res all jewels (or some other mod, but not ed), tho they're not going to be cheap.
