Baal runs- lvl89 to lvl 90

So i was wondering

My sorc is actually lvl 89, i have ani 9% xp in my inventory, how many baal run will i need to get lvl 90?
and as i am here, how many runs from lvl:
90-91?
91-92?
92-93?
93-94?
Thx in advance

I'm under the impression that 90-91 takes 30 sans anni, then it goes up fairly exponentially to around 3k for 98-99.

Ive actually been meaning to ask this exactly same question for awhile, but never gotten to it. Would appreciate a table of some sort or something. 30 runs seems kinda little... maybe im imagining.

well the 30 runs is about right but Pillz is also correct that it goes up exponentially around that. Even 91-92 isn't too bad. But its still over 100. the real trouble starts at 92 IMHO. And I agree, it would be amazing to see a table about this

As you wish...

Ok, here's the updated table with the numbers Reborn got for the lower levels.

Code:
Start lvl End lvl Runs Total Runs %complete
--------------------------------------------------
     98 99 3500 5525 100%
     97 98 1100 2025 36.6%
     96 97 450 925 16.7%
     95 96 210 475 8.60%
     94 95 110 265 4.80%
     93 94 60 155 2.81%
     92 93 45 90 1.63%
     91 92 30 50 0.90%
     90 91 20 20 0.36%

In a full /players 8 game it should be less than 20 runs (and that should be without an anni) to get from 89 to 90. Actually, if I calculate roughly on scaling it should only be about 12-15 runs to get from 89-90. Again, this is assuming full baal runs. That's basically an hour's worth (including finding a good run), which sounds about right. Of course, single player simplifies things.

The root post and thread for that information is here.

You have to remember that those numbers are based on singleplayer with the /players8 command running which translates into playing outside party in a full game on battle.net

In most baalruns you share the experience with 7 other players if you're on battle.net

Wouldn't this statement change the numbers listed in the table above dramatically?

Based on my own experience, I do not think just 30 runs will get a character from level 89 to 90.

I think it does change but based on my experience the table looks ok until 92 and then I know that it takes more than just 45 runs to get to 93. I'm about 50 runs into my char and only half way (If that)

Due to the sliding scale calculation and the 35% experience boost from being in a party, I'm not sure it makes quite as much difference as you think. Also keep in mind they aren't using an anni so that's another 10%. I'd say the table is fairly accurate regardless of /p8 or full realm games, although I really don't have time to run the calculations.

Do u get more exp if u kill the monster? My barb is at 90, with ondals and a ~7% anni, and I just dont seem to get nearly as much as my lvl91 pally(no ondals, used to have 8% anni). Now being a GF barb, I obviously aint gonna go up there and whack the minions of destruction with my alibabas. My pally, on the other hand, kills most of time. Is this why he lvls up faster than the barb?

There is no such thing as a kill bonus.

ive been lookin for a chart like that since forever, but it seems really strange that level 92-93 is only 45 runs. i remember counting the minutes until my barb leveled and i was using ondals+10%annie+skill shrine every other run.

Expirience in a party is very complex due to the characters having different levels. But yes, I too think that chart looks off.

Also it makes a difference with the monsters that are spawned in the throne to begin with that you have to kill. I remember getting from 91-92 was about 70-80 runs with ondals and 10% anni. 90-91 was 50-60 with the same setup. 30-40 for 89-90. Times where it takes more the games aren't always full so it will take extra games to make up for lost experience.

The chart is provided you are in a single player game with /players8 on. In reality, if you just sit back and not do anything you're not going to be able to do it that quick. That being said, if you actively attack and have a 10% anni among other things you can do it pretty quickly. I did 90-91 with my sorc in ~30 runs, probably more like 32-33, but the chart's pretty close.
It works better as a general guideline than an end all be all of what happens during baal runs. That chart also takes into account killing baal, If you're in a top x game it'll take significantly longer as after a certain point baal gives you the majority of the experience you gain each run.

But yes, it's basically just a general guide if you aren't doing this on SP and itisn't intended as an end-all chart.
