Yeah, most here complain about the rain (like I just did) and then complain about the cold (it doesn't get cold compared to what I'm used too). To me, the best time of year is mid to late-spring. Not too hot yet, but still a small amount of rain to keep everything green.

Ours started out like that, too. I think it was three large fires that eventually spread so far that they ended up as one large fire, and then another one started and grew to be huge on it's own, and then the most recent (as far as I am aware) was still small when I drove through the area on my way back.
